PoliticsYou Won’t Believe How Fayose Described Tinubu As He Turns 64 by ExAngel007(op): 7:33pm On Mar 28, 2016
In a quite unusual manner, Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state
has eulogised the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national
leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as he clocks 64
on Tuesday, March 29.

According to The Nation, Fayose (known for always throwing
missiles at the opposition), in a press statement released by
his media aide, Idowu Adelusi , hailed Tinubu as a pillar in
Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.
Fayose noted in the statement, that the APC national leader
has over the years proven to be a great political figure in the
country.
The statement reads: “I heartily felicitate with Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu as he clocks 64 on March 29.

“Whether one likes it or not, Asiwaju Tinubu has become a
political pillar and leader, not only in Yorubaland but in
Nigeria. He is a great politician who takes well-calculated
political steps.

“I and the good people of Ekiti State join millions of Nigerians
and Asiwaju Tinubu’s friends and supporters across the world
to rejoice with him on this auspicious occasion.

“Asiwaju Tinubu is a good case study when one talks about
political resilience and doggedness and no wonder he now
ranks among the leaders of this great country.

“I pray that God gives him the grace to witness many more
years in sound health in the land of the living.”

This eulogy is coming barely 24 hours after Fayose hailed
President Muhammadu Buhari for apologising to Nigerians
over the current state of the nation

, while demanding that apologies would not resolve the crisis,
but for the president to find a lasting solution to the mess in
the country.

PoliticsSenate Summons Kachikwu Over Fuel Scarcity by ExAngel007(op): 6:12pm On Mar 28, 2016
The Senate on Monday, March 28, summoned Ibe Kachikwu,
the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, to appear before
it over unending fuel scarcity across the country.

This decision was taken by its committee on Petroleum
Resources ( Downstream) after carrying out major assessment
of the crisis in major filling stations within Abuja Metropolis .
According to their assessment, many filling stations were not
selling fuel due to alleged lack of supply from the Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Depot Suleja, amidst
long queues of motorists waiting under the scorching sun for
the non available product.

Jiibrin Barau, the acting chairman of the committee, along with
two of his members, said the Petroleum Minister must
definitely appear to explain the way out of this lingering crisis.

He added that due the chronic situation, Bukola Saraki, the
Senate President had to call on the committee to swing into
action quickly.

“This situation is very bad and unacceptable, hence, the need
for the Minister to appear before us tomorrow ( today), and
unveil his plan of way out to us

” Even if he doesn’t have any plan yet out of the lingering
problem, the Senate President and the entire members of the
committee are more than ready to rub minds with him for that
needed purpose” , he said.

Philip Aduda, the Senate minority whip and a member of the
committee, called on the federal Government to arrest the
situation fast, by making fuel available to Nigerians.
He said: “The government should look for petrol and ensure
that it is given to the people , demands are meant for the
people , for us, to Nigerians.

“It is unacceptable, we are Nigerians and it will be bad for us
to continue remaining in queues. If the APC leaders like, let
them blame themselves that their problem but the most
important thing is for us to have fuel in the Federal Republic of
Nigeria.

“ That is what we are looking for and that is what we want. We
want to see all these queues disappear.”
Meanwhile, petrol marketers at various stations visited ,
lamented that lack of supply and in adequate supply of
petroleum products by the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC), in recent time , resulted into product
scarcity being witnessed a crossed the country.
Specifically the manager of Forte Oil ,opposite Transcorp Hilton
in Maitama District, said while only three fuel tankers are being
supplied daily now, it used to be five or six before.
Isa Friday, manager of Oando Filling station, Zone 4, disclosed
that it has been long the station got supply from NNPC depot
in Suleja.

The lingering crisis has angered Nigerians who took to social
media to express their dissapointment in the state of fuel in the
country.

However, the federal government disclosed that it can’t end
fuel scarcity soon, saying that it may continue for several
months.

Ibe Kachikwu, the petroleum minister, said that oil produced in
the refineries would not be sold but kept in a “ strategic
reserve ”.

Abuja

Agatu local government area in Abuja on Sunday, March 27,
seventeen peaceful resolutions were made to ensure peace in
the crisis affected area.

The resolutions were signed by Paul Edeh, the convener of the
One Idoma Initiative, Othman Ngelzarma; the national
secretary of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of
Nigeria (MACBAN), Christian Eneche; the president of the Agatu
Network Forum and Muhammadu Kiruwa; the national
president of MACBAN.

At the meeting, the group said: “We have agreed to work closely
with our various communities, government of Benue and
Nasarawa states, the federal government and all willing
partners towards fostering peace and mutual cooperation,
security, and sustainable development that includes
strengthening our collective desires to promote cooperation
and help to prevent future conflicts and resolve same if it ever
arise again.”

The parties also agreed to continue to cooperate among
themselves to seek for dialogue and explore all efforts targeted
at bring lasting peace to the crisis affected areas, while making
various recommendations.

Below are the 17 recommendations made by the parties:

1. The immediate cessation of hostilities between the Idomas
in Agatu and the Fulani nomadic community carrying out
grazing activities in Agatu.

2. The national leadership of MACBAN will direct its Benue and
Nasarawa states chapters to immediately direct all Fulani
herdsmen carrying out grazing activities in Agatu to
immediately withdraw and move to Nasarawa state while
dialogue towards the peaceful resolution of the conflict is on-
going. While the Agatu youths should desist from patrolling the
river bank until when better understanding is sought between
the two parties.

3. The Federal Government is urged to immediately set up a
high power committee that will include the leadership of the
One Idoma Initiative and Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders
Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to comprehensively look into
the immediate and remote causes of the crisis with the view of
finding a lasting solution. This committee should also be
mandated to ascertain the level of destruction of lives and
properties from both sides.

4. The federal government should draw up a roadmap to
commence the immediate reconstruction, rehabilitation and re-
integration of the internally displaced persons from Agatu back
to their various communities. Similarly, the Fulanis who lost
their cattle during the crisis should be compensated
accordingly.

5. A peace football match should be organized between the
Super Eagles of Nigeria and a joint team comprising the
Idomas and the Fulanis. The Football match should be played
at the National Stadium Abuja and organized in conjunction
with NFF. The match should be aimed at raising awareness of
the peaceful resolution of the conflict and to raise funds
towards the reconstruction of the properties destroyed in the
crisis.

6. All future conflicts arising between the Idoma people of
Agatu and Fulani herdsmen should be addressed through
dialogue rather than violent means as was the recent case.

7. The federal ministry of agriculture is urged to create and
give adequate attention to the Livestock value chain
development in Nigeria in order to cater for the growing
demands of the nomadic community to address the imbalance
between agronomy and livestock development in Nigeria.

8. The federal government is urged to as a matter of urgency
support One Idoma Initiative and MACBAN to embark on
advocacy campaigns on their members in order to enhance the
spirit of brotherhood, love and tolerance especially among the
youths.

9. The ministry of agriculture is urged to immediately organize
a broad stakeholders meeting between cattle breeders and
farmers with a view to providing short, medium and long term
solutions to the crisis between cattle breeders and farmers in
Nigeria. While the federal, states and local governments are
urged to evolve a strategic framework for the implementation
of the long term solution to the problem of grazing.

10. We condemn in totality the proliferation of fire arms
especially among the warring parties and pledge to collaborate
with the federal government and the two state governments of
Benue and Nasarawa to encourage the laying down of arms by
both parties and to also appeal to the government to consider
granting amnesty to those who accept to lay down their arms
and embrace lasting peace.

11. The federal government through the federal ministry of
agriculture is urged to address the issue of grazing reserve and
mapping out of the primary, secondary and tertiary cattle
routes in Nigeria so as to put an end to the problem of
perennial clashes between local farmers and Fulani herdsmen.
The ministry of agriculture is urged to propose a Bill to resolve
the above issue while the National Assembly is urged to
consider and pass such bill into law expeditiously.

12. The One Idoma Initiative and the MACBAN should organize
continuous stakeholders meetings to assess the progress made
on the implementation of the letter of the communiqué issued
after the town hall meeting.

13. Both associations should visit the President of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria, the governors of Benue and Nasarawa
States, the chief of defence Staff, the chief of army staff, the
inspector general of police, the director general National
Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other relevant
organizations, to enlist their support in the sustenance of peace
between the Agatu community and the Fulani herdsmen.

14. We jointly call for the provision of adequate and permanent
security in the crisis area up to the time when peace and
security will be fully restored and thereafter.

15. The One Idoma Initiative and the MACBAN resolve to write
an appreciation and commendation letter to “Ordinary” (Dr)
Ahmad Isah, the president and founder of Brekete Family on
his role as an arbiter towards the resolution of the Agatu and
Fulani Herdsmen crisis from the onset.

16. We urge the executive governor of Benue State, Samuel
Ortom to immediately visit Agatu with his cabinet members for
an on the spot assessment of the situation and ensure that
rapid development of the crisis areas are commenced. We
believe when this is done, it will go a long way in pacifying the
victims of the crisis.

17. While we conclude by appreciating the effort of the federal
government in addressing the general security problems of the
country, we have no doubt in our minds that the crisis in Agatu
will also receive the concern of the Federal government with
the view to proffering the immediate remedy to the problem.

CrimeMuslim Murdered For Wishing Christians Happy Easter by ExAngel007(op): 3:53pm On Mar 28, 2016
Tragedy struck over the Easter weekend after a Muslim
shopkeeper was murdered for wishing his Christian neighbours
a happy Easter.

Asad Shah was stabbed more than 30 times in the brutal
assault inside his shop in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland.
It is believed he was killed after he posted a message on
Facebook wishing Christians a Good Friday.

“Good Friday and a very Happy Easter, especially to my
beloved Christian nation… Let’s follow the real footstep of
beloved holy Jesus Christ and get the real success in both
worlds,” Shah said.

Shah was a well loved member of his local community
A 32-year-old man has been arrested for murder and is still
being interrogated by police officers.

Mohammad Faisal, a family friend, said a bearded Muslim
wearing a long religious robe entered Shah’s shop and spoke
to him in his native language before stabbing him in the head
with a kitchen knife.

“The man dragged Shah away but the guy continued attacking
with the blade,” said Faisal.

“They struggled up to the bus stop where Asad collapsed.

“That man must not have been too happy about what he was
doing, what he was preaching. It was a well-planned attack.
He must have been an extremist.”

In previous online posts, Shah spoke out eloquently against
violence and hatred and called for unconditional real love for
all mankind.

“Merry Christmas to all my beloved Christian nation and to all
beloved mankind with best wishes,” Shah posted last
Christmas.

Hundreds of people attended a late night vigil in Shah’s
memory

One of Shah’s neighbours said his murder was a despicable
act, especially so as he was such a loved member of the
community.

“He was proud of his Pakistani heritage but he loved Britain.
He loved Scotland too and really wanted to reach out to
Christians. This is such a terrible thing to happen.

More than 300 mourners gathered at a vigil last night to pay
their respects to Shah whose death has sent shockwaves
throughout Scotland’s Muslim community.

PoliticsMarginalization Of Igbos, Self-inflicted -Peter Obi by ExAngel007(op):
Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has said that most of the injustices and marginalization alleged to have been meted on Ndigbo in Nigeria were self-inflicted.

https://informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/peter-obi.gif

The former governor spoke in Awka, the Anambra State Capital during the grand reunion of Osisiona Foundation founded by Dr. Chike Obidigbo, former All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), gubernatorial aspirant in the state.

Obi who was accompanied by his supporters to the event said that Igbos choose to be spectators than getting into the mainstream of seat of power, where the national cake is being shared, declaring that if one was not where the cake is being shared nobody will remember you.

Most governors of South East, he said, don’t attend relevant meetings and when they attend they do not have patience to stay in such meetings. The former governor who was intermittently cheered by hissupporters at the occasion said that as APGA Governor, there was no Governor who got more than him from the centre when he superintended Anambra State. He said in the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s), no state except Gombe State, apparently, where the woman in charge hails from, got more than Anambra State.Endorsing Dr. Obidigbo for the 2017 Anambra State Governorship race, the former governor who indicated his interest to run for the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone against the APGA candidate, Chief Victor Umeh, said it is people like Obidigbo who are employers and wealth creators that should be given opportunity to rule Anambra State.

He said that if people who have never invested nor employed people were entrusted with power, they receive allocation and embark on frolic of their own to squander it because they have never known how to handle money. In his speech, the traditional ruler of Nteje, Igwe Roland Odegbo, said the traditional rulers and religious leaders in the State were working hard to reconcile Obi and his successor, Governor Willie Obiano, saying that a lot of people in the State will not like the peace move because of what they benefit from this quarrel, but they will fail.

Calling for respect for traditional rulers in Igbo land, Igwe Odegbo challenged those who forment trouble in the State to desist from it or face the wrath of the people and thgods.Dr. Obigdigbo said that he was prepared for yet another round of political battle in 2017, urging his supporters and people of goodwill to remain prayerful and unwavering as they jointly pursue this agenda of honest and quality leadership for the great people of Anambra State.

“It is often said that quitters don’t win and winners don’t quit. We are winners and refuse to quit because God cannot be found in an abandoned project,” he said.

Ibrahim Yusuf, a father whose daughter, Hawanat Adebanke
Yusuf is missing has pleaded with President Muhammadu
Buhari to look into the case of his missing daughter as
contrary to report, she is not a wayward girl and still a virgin.

Hawanat Adebanke Yusuf and Nasirat Oyeyemi. Photo:
Vanguard

Hawanat and her friend, Nasirat Oyeyemi who were
undergraduate students at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria
disappeared from school in February 2016 after they went to
buy some food items at Sabon-Geri market in the city.

According to Vanguard, Yusuf who lived in Lagos said as soon
as he heard of the disappearance of his 25 year old daughter
and her friend, he went to Kaduna with his son.

He said: “Both Hawanat and Nasirat live in Queen Amina girls
hostel, ABU, Zaria. On Sunday February 6th, 2016, at about
4pm, the two girls told their room-mates that they were going
to buy some food items at Sabon Geri market, very close to
their school. To the dismay of their colleagues, both friends did
not return that same day.

The room mates felt that they could
have gone to see their relations hoping that they would return
for lectures the following day Monday but, unfortunately, they
did not return. Their colleagues were therefore worried and
they began looking for our contacts in Zaria. When they
contacted our relations in Zaria, it was discovered that the girls
did not come to them and this heightened the suspicion that
the girls might be missing.

‘’My relation in Zaria called to inform me about the
development. On Tuesday morning, I embarked on a journey
with my son, Ismail, to Kaduna and we met Nasirat’s father at
the campus security post. We narrated our story to the security
men at the post who sent one of them to go with us to Samaru
Police station, very close to the school. We narrated the
incident to the Divisional Police Officer and also asked him if it
was possible to make a report at MTN office so that they could
be traced through their phones.

The DPO however asked us not
to do so, saying that it was likely the girls eloped with their
male friends. He later advised us to take the case to Kaduna
State Security office in Zaria. When we got there, the officer in
charge collected some information from us and promised to
get back to us.

“Later, we were advised to seek the assistance of the Muslim
community in the school. We met the President of Muslim
Medical Students Association and other students. They were
very compassionate, they asked questions about our
daughters which we obliged them, while they prayed and
advised us to pray for our children’s safe return. They later led
us to the Vice Chancellor’s Office who confirmed that he
received a report about the missing students and assured us
that he would do everything possible to locate their
whereabout.

He later referred us to the Chief Security officer
who informed that the school had already compiled all the
necessary information that will assist in the search which will
be sent to Kaduna State Security. Since then, we’ve been
keeping in touch with them but till date, we’ve not heard any
news about them.”

“Hawanat is a decent girl. The statement by the DPO that the
girls might have eloped with male friends is not true. I swear
with my life that my daughter is still a virgin. She is religious
and was not the wayward type.

She is my daughter and I know
her very well. My daughter is the assistant class representative
in her department. She takes her studies seriously. I wonder
what she could be going through now. May God guide her
wherever she is.

Shedding tears, he added: “We have spent all we have trying to
locate our daughter. We have visited so many places and every
effort proved abortive.

This incident happened since February,
the police and other security agencies assured us that they are
alive yet, they are no where to be found. I don’t know what to
do any more. When my wife heard the news, she was
devastated and has been ill. I wish I know the situation my
daughter is going through right now.”

Oyeyemi Amisu who is the father of the Nasirat said his
daughter was not a troublesome girl and would not have
eloped with a man.

“Nasirat is a hard-working girl. She has always been guided
by the dictates of her religion. She has never been a
troublesome girl and I am bothered because I trust what my
daughter can do. Contrary to what my daughter will never
elope with a male friend. Since her disappearance, there has
been confusion in the house. I cannot concentrate on my job
any longer.”

We are therefore calling on President, Mohammadu Buhari, the
governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the
Inspector- General of police and all other security agencies in
the country to intervene. We are appealing to them to please
use their good offices to trace the whereabouts of our
daughters. We believe that with their intervention, we will surely
welcome our daughters back to us”

Harrysong

Award winning Five Star music artist Harrysong few days back
sang praises of his best friend and colleague, cd John who
passed away five years ago in a car accident.

Harrysong on Thursday was spotted on the street of Lagos,
hawking Gala sausage rolls. The music star that seem to know
his craft well was seen behind an elderly woman selling bottled
drinks in traffic but unknown to many, he was only fulfilling his
ambassadorial duties.

Speaking with NAIJ.COM , Harrysong said: “ I was not only the
street of Lagos, sharing gala to my fans as I moved from car
to car but I also visited the factory to inspect how the Gala
sausage rolls are made. Everyone was happy to show me
round the whole factory and I had a great time with the team.
It is my duty to make sure Nigerians get the best from Gala.”

Woman with world’s longest dreadlocks, Asha Mandela from
Florida has married Emmanuel Chege.

She married Emmanuel who is a certified hair stylist from
Kenya after they met online three years ago while he was
struck by pictures of her famous dreadlocks on hair websites.

He decided to contact Asha, and when she visited Kenya on
business eight months later, they connected well. A fairytale
romance followed, and within 8 months of meeting, they got
married in America.

Emmanuel, a hair stylist with 15 years of experience now
spends his days grooming Asha’s dreadlocks as Doctors told
Aisha that her dreadlocks would paralyze her if she kept on
growing them as its weight is affecting her back.

He is also growing his own dreadlocks and hopes to become
the male record holder in the future.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

CrimeMother Of Two Found In Pool Of Blood In Army Barracks by ExAngel007(op): 4:08pm On Mar 21, 2016
Juliana Adeyemo was allegedly killed by a person suspected to
be a soldier in 32 Artilery Brigade of the Nigerian army.
Juliana Adeyemo has been killed by a yet-to-be identified
person suspected to be a soldier in 32 Artilery Brigade of the
Nigerian army, Owena barracks, Akure, Ondo state.

The Punch reports that a 25-year-old woman, who worked as
a recharge cards (vouchers) seller in the barracks, was found
in a pool of blood in her apartment in Block 5 on Sunday,
March 13.

Wale Adeyemo, the husband of the deceased, said that he was
not around when the incident happened. However, he alleged
that the killer murdered his wife in the presence of their two
children.

“One of our children, Dayo, a four-year-old, said the soldier
entered into the apartment and killed his mother on the day,”
he said.

The aggrieved man noted that although his wife and the
children cried for help, none of the neighbours came around to
rescue her. He addeda that the killer stole all the money in the
house and the recharge cards that his late wife sold.

Asked why the matter was not reported at the police station,
Mrs Adeyemo explained that the leadership of the brigade told
him not to go to the police as the army authority would handle
the matter.

“I am appealing to the army authority and the government to
help me arrest the killer of my wife. I don’t want the matter to
be swept under the carpet,” he said.

When contacted, Captain Ojo Adelegan, the public relations
officer of the 32 Artilery Brigade, confirmed the incident and
added that the brigade had already commenced investigation
into the matter.

“The incident is unfortunate, but I want to tell you that it was
not a soldier that killed the woman. It is not possible, our
soldiers cannot do such a thing; they are responsible officers,”
he stressed.

Earlier this month, an ugly incident happened at Ovre-Eku
(Iwevbo) community between Edo and Delta states.
Some soldiers, numbering about 10, used their boots on
hundreds of women

protesting over a land, which had been in dispute for years
between both states.
