Phil Moane:That's not what i meant. What i was trying to say is that he might be a thief, but he is one that is sincere with his words. And ofcourse you can be a thief and still be sincere(more like a Robin Hood kind of thief) |
slap1: supereagle:What are you folks talking? You mean no one can score good grades in Nigeria or what? I had a lot of kids i know that did 9 straight A1s in their WASC. The country is bad, but not everything. BTW, Madam Minister for Information said you guys should STOP using the word 'naija'. Compredez? |
OP,Where is the source of your story? |
One thing i like him for is his focus on his dreams, even though that they are misguided. He's believes in the principle of zoning, and is completely committed to it. There's truly honour among thieves. |
Sheepish |
^^small girl. So you think it's fun bashing your ex-BF's entire ethnic group because it didn't work out between you two. You need to grow up, little girl. |
It's even a kind of liability having the presidency from your region. I think the igbo nation should concentrate on supporting a president from other regions that would take care of their interests. In the meantime, igbos may vie for the vice-president slot, at least for 2 more times, so as to mature politically. The Igbo nation has a lot of qualified intelligent people who would do well as presidents, but they need to get a wider national influence. Let's not forget that igbos are somewhat disadvantaged in the nigerian political field because of the biafra experience. That's is why i say we should relax, until we have more political heavyweights from igboland. We might even get more if we play our 'victim' card very well and use it as our strongest weapon. |
^^yeah. You are quite correct. It used to be a bad practice by some south-eastern igbos in the past. I also grew up seeing some of my old folks referring to our ukwuani neighbours as 'fake' igbo. But i think that trend has been on the decline as the day goes by. Our parents may have misunderstood each other, but we must avoid doing the same mistake in this age when the world has become a global village. |
oludashmi:You really miss this Igbo man that dumped you, dont you. I still love you sha, i'm a nice Igbo man. ![]() |
justwise:You're probably right. It's either they are not or are deluded ones. Smh. |
Why does this UjuJoan always thinks she's an authority on Igbo matters? If you had that knowledge of Igbo culture and Igbo men, why are you not a constant feature on the culture thread? I think you really need to shut up and quit talking trash. Where did you get this notion of Igbo men being controlling and full of pride? Have you met all Igbo men, and where did you get your stats from? Or you are simply going along with the false stereotypes. It's unfortunate that it's only Igbo folks that say nonsense about their people on this forum. You can never find others doing so, even if they see negatives in their people. |
stranger:you need to ignore this m.oron |
This thread should have been simply ignored. Unfortunately, you guys fell for the bait. |
^^^ I understand how you feel. My state governor knows my his greatest critic, so he knows i dont fall for anything not standard. You need to seperate sentiments from facts. |
Dis Guy:Most intelligent comment. The said expenditure for security is only a cover up for the main looting. |
I just hope that the new generation of politicians we'll have in the future would not be as daft as the ones we have now. What is the essence of having a consensus candidate from the north? Is he going to be the president of the north? Why not have a consensus candidate from all over the country? It's a shame that a country with so much intellects will allow a decrepit '18th century' political off-cut like Ciroma to be setting up irrelevant committees to promote selfish interests. |
Kunbee:Not all |
pat utomi |
Kunbee:Do you think so? |
Be careful what you say. IBB said he stepped aside, and he's been doing that till date. |
Kunbee: |
good news |
Kunbee:No. who says? |
engineer |
^^^ Well, the truth kinda be told sometimes for the future generation to know. Anyone in the world is free to claim what he wants, but people still need to know the fact. Falsehood is dangerous. |
Most wanted for fake visa racketeering. Poster, What has been smoking you? Olodo. |
igbobuigbo:I wonder why the guy is not in jail by now. |
Igbo continues to be the beautiful bribe with plentiful suitors in the 2011 presidential race. So spoilt for choice! |
Ibime:You would have done a better job sniffing your nose around by asking him what the name of his supposed language was and informing us appropriately. |
googles: |
hellois gunguls. Whos is that? |
Anybody that thinks that these kinds of atrocities can be committed against Ndigbo again without reprisals is a FOOL with flying colours. Ojukwu will no more be there to allow the kins of such groups to leave the SE unscathed. Thank God we now have militant groups that are as barbaric as the Northern jihadists. It will be a surprise to realize that no one has the monopoly on senseless killings. Remember the Onitsha reprisals in 2006. That is a foretaste of what to expect. |
