ChinenyeN:Ahoada ChinenyeN:Exactly my thoughts. They are not assertive in their denial like the Ikwerres, neither are they so keen on claiming an Igbo identity like the South-eastern Igbos. From my observations, i think there are quite a good number of such Igboid neutrals like that in Rivers state. They seem to have been very diplomatic with their identity by not pleasing or offending any of these 2 extreme groups. |
The outcome of the referendum in Sudan will set the tone for many seperatist groups in Africa. The way to achieve self-determination for any discordant group is going to the international courts. |
ChinenyeN:He's from Rivers. ChinenyeN:I'm really not in the know of folks from the Etche clan disclaiming Igbo until i saw a dude here that posted he's Etche but not Igbo. This is the kind of incident i was referring to as sitting on the fence. I never saw it coming. |
Actually, it's not all of them in the SS that do so. We have quite a number of them that are proud of being Igbo, even here on NL. Chyz, Adabada, and a hosts of them. Funny enough, there are some that are sitting on the fence. They are Igbo when it suits them. |
amingafar:My friend, let me ask you a question based on your bolded statement, and your response will determine if i'll ignore you or not. Who foiled the January 16 coup that killed Balewa? |
jason12345:It makes me want to puke when i hear statements like this. Were innocent Igbo civilians supposed to be killed? Are soldiers trained to slaughter defendless civilians or to confront armed aggression? Only cowardly soldiers will practice their killing skills on defenceless civilians as the Nigerian military of the 60's. Shame on those cowards who had never fought any decisive battle outside Nigeria and won. |
googles:Why not? Village gbaski jare! Dont mind those people who are jealousying our village-ness. Let's marries joor. |
googles:double coincidence of wants, then! i ams a feelage boyz, can we marries now? |
googles:typical village girl? Oh boy, run for your life. You dont want to be bringing your friends home. Hell no. gunguls lofs, ares you one? Anyway, i'll still marrys you evens if you are a tyfical village girlz, as long as we goes to the farms together. Will u if i ams a village boyz marries me? |
Could growing up in a place like Zaria, kaduna, Naija be termed as a village upbringing? I once had a chick from there(though her parents were from ilesa). She was completely village to me, though extremely beautiful, when i met her. So naive. @topic. Not all of the countryside chicks are uneducated. |
I'm really surprised why Nigeria isn't on this list. Politicians are busy scheming how to loot Nigeria dry in the quickest way possible. This has to be a joke. |
wesley80:then you are obviously a deluded igbo. No need to waste my time on you. |
wesley80:Ukwuani/Ika/Ikwerre fall under the same classification in my books. I could use them interchangeably. I dont see any difference. |
googles:Wondering why on earth would she want to do that? Well, she could look more prettier, though. |
Olaolufred:It's idi.otic comments like this that is pulling Nigeria down. Instead of you to counter his arguments, you are insulting based on his ethnicity. It's a shame some people cannot seperate logic from sentiments. Waste of education! |
Becomerich is right. This is a jangba-jantis list. ![]() |
@wesley80 I'm very selective when it comes to topics i comment on here. This one is a good thread. You should have made your comments on those threads you didn't like, not here. You keep saying inferiority inferiority complex about Igbos all the time. Tell me my any group here that are more confident than the Igbos. And who is suffering from inferiority complex? You who deny your Igbo identity because of the fear of less than 500,000 Ijaws or me who who writes my Igbo identity on my forehead despite possible discrimination? @ chyz. I know him. He's one of those confused Ikwerres. |
wesley80:My friend, do you realize that this is the politics section, and matters concerning Igbos are part of Nigerian politics? Are you trying to intimidate people here? If you dont like a thread, STFU or jump off a cliff, ok? |
When the Anioma state is created, it should be ceded to the SE if there aren't any plans for more state creation across the board in the spirit of fairness and equity. The SE is the more zone in the country with 5 states and has lost a heck of fortune from this economic short change. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. |
What's on my mind? Where is googles? and to ask her if we can chat |
Telecommunications prostitutes. |
monkeyleg:Exactly my point. This is what anyone who wants to stop Uduaghan should be doing. Any other measure being planned will amount to an exercise in futility. 1. The PDP cannot replace Uduaghan as its flag bearer in the coming polls, as this is in clear violation of the party's guidelines. 2. The EFCC cannot arrest Uduaghan now. To do that, you need to forward a petition to the anti-grant commission, and in turn, the body will have to conduct a thorough investigation into the forwarded allegations before making any arrests and subsequent prosecution. All these cannot be achieved in 3 months' time. The only option that can be explored now is voting Uduaghan out at the polls. I would have expected E.K Clark to be in Delta state by now(not at Abuja where i learnt he currently is) mobilizing people not to vote for Uduaghan, instead of wasting precious time calling on the EFCC and searching for evidences against Uduaghan. |
Blazay:Bro, i think you need to take some time out to educate yourself more on the harm that your beloved Northern parts have caused Nigeria. Take a look at this thread on EFCC's black book. www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-349566.0.html |
monkeyleg:Monkeyleg, please can you tell me the crimes Uduaghan committed while in office? I've tried to understand the cause of Clark's beef with this man. I think this is all about Clark vs. Ibori, or better still, a continuation of the tribal feud between Delta Ijaws and Itsekiris. Unfortunately, Uduaghan happens to be caught in the middle. |
i'm fines, cuties. Wheres you beens? I misseds you too muchs, lofs. |
what ares you talkings of, gunguls lofs? |
^^^ One truth that anyone of us can not run away from is the fact that PDP is not a party that any body responsible can belong to(though i must admit i'm still ignorant of any other party in Nigeria that is not peopled by these same bunch of low-lifes). I'm not quite familiar with the PDP constitution as to how it deals with misdemeanors on the part of it's members, which in my opinion EK Clark could has explored in preventing Uduaghan from contesting in the re-run. The look of it shows that probably such never existed. If that being the case, shouldn't we hold Clark also accountable for the rot going on in the party? This fellow had been in politics as far back as the First republic during the era of the NCNC, NPC and AG. He is no novice when it comes to the internal democracy of parties. My thoughts are that if the opposition party is smart enough, there wouldn't be a more better time than now to kick the PDP out of action. |

^^^ You and I both are saying the same things, though, coming at it from different angles. Uduaghan's personal conducts had been disgraceful, to say the least. The allegations surrounding him, especially those of sexual misconduct, are a disdain that shouldn't find itself anywhere close to the exalted office occupied by the governor of a state. On the other hand, Jonathan's actions are quite condemnable in his support for what is not right, as long as it suits his selfish goals. The case of Abia's governor following the recent anarchy in the state and Jonathan's indifference to his(T.Orji) maladministration makes the word 'honorable' a travesty to use in describing the attitude of the President. If you have gone through my posts on this forum, you'll find out that i have always been(and still is) a fierce critic of Jonathan. At the same time, i refuse to turn a blind eye to any of his commendable actions. What i've questioned so far had been Clark's moral intentions and tactics. In the absence of the above, i agree with you, my brother. Most of these politicians are just too irresponsible to be our representatives. |
