Rubbin Sarpong’s profile on Plenty of Fish, Match.com and other dating websites describe him as a U.S. soldier serving in Syria, but federal prosecutors said he was actually in Millville, living the high life off unsuspecting women.

He is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The 35-year-old and his accomplices, who live in Ghana, fooled more than 30 people and made over $2.1 million in a brazen dating scam that went on for three years and led at least one woman to commit suicide. Sarpong frequently posted selfies on Instagram with large stacks of cash, expensive designer clothing, jewelry and luxury cars — all of which he allegedly bought with money that women sent him.

One of his victims committed suicide in June 2018, just two days after transferring nearly $94,000 to Sarpong and his crew. The day before she died, the woman — whose identity was not released — allegedly went to Baltimore/Washington International Airport to meet what she thought was a diplomat with a $12 million box of gold.

Authorities said the elaborate scheme began in January 2016 and ended with Sarpong’s arrest. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

If Buhari sat and passed Cambridge Certificate,that's enough qualification for him to contest any election in Nigeria because it's equivalent of WAEC or GCE.But,the germane questions remain: Did Buhari submit that certificate he obtained from Cambridge to INEC as required by the laws of the land to contest the presidential election?If no,why?If PDP could have access to Cambridge to enquire about Buhari's qualification as alleged by the minister,it means that Buhari or the FG also has access to it and should have done so before contesting for the presidency of Nigeria.If Buhari didn't submit any Cambridge Certificate but relied only of "schoolmates" photo as his evidence,it means that he has no case,lied under oath and shouldn't have contested the presidency in the first place.

Buhari did not complete his secondary school program. There is no Cambridge certificate for Buhari anywhere. If there was, he would have had the appropriate agency to issue a replacement. Buhari is a crook.

It's very obvious that Buhari has no school certificate. If he had he would not waste time or money hiring several SANs to prevent him from presenting his certificate.
I personally have had cause to request for replacement of my degree certificate and even transcripts from US. It did not take me more than 3 weeks.
Buhari should be ashamed of himself for lying about his certificate. As an Army General, I understand he has gotten far beyond secondary school level in terms of education. Maybe they should change the law to take care of a situation where one did not finish secondary school but has gotten training far beyond secondary school. Personally, it does not make sense to demand a secondary school certificate from a retired General. There should be provision in the law to waive such requirements for certain people.

Yep. Nigerians are really in a bind. For many Nigerians, coming back to Nigeria is not really an option. Many Nigerians will prefer to face the worst in SA rather than coming back to Nigeria. We have done a terrible job of running Nigeria. It's a big shame.
