DeWisedon:
Those people attacking shoprite will still foolishly recharge their MTN lines and make calls with it and also subscribe to DSTV and GOTV today instead of breaking their Simcards and damaging their DSTV if really they want to boycott SA products....

Must we behave foolishly like South Africanshuh
Can lack of proper education be the cause of all these in Africahuh??

Those ones going to shoprite to loot rather than peaceful protest are criminals and deserved to be treated as one.

We are Nigerians and we are Civilized unlike SA that are still slaves to the White Men.
"We are Nigerians and we are civilized...."? Really? I doubt it.

if at this point you are ashamed to be a Nigerian then what would you say if you were a south african? Mind you south africa in all this are solidly behind their people.
So you are proud that some Nigerians are looting shops belonging to fellow Nigerians in Nigeria? I wonder what you do for a living.

magicminister:
I laugh at the ignorance of Nigerians that call for Attacks on South African businesses in Nigeria. Their false sense of pride has made them delusional.

South African businesses are some of the highest employers of Labour in Nigeria. They hire Nigerians.

Mtn, multichoice (dstv) and shoperite are some of the more popular South African owned businesses that have generated billions in taxes, employed thousands of Nigerians which in turn has made life better for millions of Nigerian families that rely on the income of their family members that work In those places.

South African business pay rent to us, they pay taxes to us and most importantly, they employ us. The fact that you are so stupid to think that attacking a few Nigerian branches of a Multinational company will hurt them more than it hurts us is just amusing at best.

Having said that, it’s time to hold our government accountable. Nigerians are like the pariah of this world. Nobody wants us. We have to fix us to and liberate the black nation. The biggest Black Country on earth should be on a global pedestal as the leader in everything.
We should be the leaders in this world!! Let’s rise up!!

Xenophobia in South Africa, hate and discrimination in europe and America are all off-shoots of human ignorance and lack of respect for Nigeria and blacks in general.

We have to hold our government accountable, we have to hold ourselves accountable, we have to build a great nation that other nations will want to deal with. Then, we’d turn them away!!

The biggest answer to hate is success. Nigeria has to succeed if we must be feared and respected!!

Our house of rep and senate will spend over 5 billion on cars alone this year.
Our president took over 3 months to appoint ministers.
Our cost of government is too high.
Our poverty and unemployment is one of the highest in earth.
Ignorance is rampant........
if Nigeria was working, no Nigerian will be in South Africa. We have to succeed!

"What AU Should Do To South Africa" by Atiku Abubakar.

Above is the headline.

But in the report "Urgent steps need to be taken with the SA authorities and the African Union to bring an end to this ill wind that can only end up destroying the fabric of our African brotherhood.” ~ Atiku Abubakar.

I was expecting to see what exactly AU should do to SA, not the trending calls on the lips of everyone. angry
Provide your own suggestions as to what should be done.

Luvlyna:
Do you know why SA can confidently do the sh*t they do, it's because they've seen a country so divided among themselves internally that they can barely stay united and speak with one voice against foreign attacks.
And to think some retards here on nairaland are saying the Nigerians there are just from a particular tribe, shows how low we've gone as a country. As a matter of fact, Nigeria can no longer be called a country if a fellow countryman can say sh*t about his own countryman in the full view of other nationals.
Nigeria will continue to be volatile to foreign attacks in other countries if we continue to be disunited. The world is watching, let the retards, tribalists and olodos take note of that
It's disheartening to observe that some Nigerians support the attack because they assume that the victims are Igbo. Of course the victims are not all Igbo and not all of them are Nigerians.
The tribalism among Nigerians is getting to the point where one is beginning to feel that Nigeria needs to divide so that the different ethnic groups can form their separate countries. There is no point pretending to be one when we obviously know that we are not one.
Although tribalism is pervasive among Nigerians, respectable organizations should not be encouraging it. The Nairaland moderators should start suspending contributors who espouse tribalism.

Officialgarri:
If that's their wish, then grant it.
I can swear to it that Nigerians in south Africa are majorly into Fraud and drugs. I didn't read it. I know it with facts.

If they accuse us of such, they are actually saying the truth,
and we ought to cover our face in shame and return home for always embarrassing ourselves everywhere we go.

South Africa is not same as Nigeria where a state will be arrogantly claimed by another set of people from a far different region.

South Africans are lazy and Nigerians have seized the chance to snatch people's girls and wives.
I can't believe a Nigerian is justifying the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans in SA. You really come across as ignorant. It is not all the Nigerians in South Africa that are into crime.

Good thing that there's now an opening.

They should negotiate a figure like $1b. That should do it and pay it immediately. They shouldn't wait forever for due process.

The government must place square pegs in square holes this time and get closure on this case.
$1b? The company did not spend that much. $500m would make more sense.

EventsRe: Nigerians Share Their Worst Wedding Experiences (hilarious Comments) by executive12: 4:37am On Sep 02, 2019
baldboy:
My own experience

There was a heated argument between the groom's mum and the bride's, which later escalated into a full-blown fight.

The bride was also supporting her mother, thereby physically confronting her inlaw also.

When the groom later heard about it, come see slap on the bride's face. He almost slapped the mother inlaw face sef. He was just chattering: you and your mother are witchs. How dare you treat my mother like that!

Thankfully it was after they've been joined as one.

What engendered the initial fight is what I don't know.

But I heard the marriage later broke, couple months after.
I'm not surprised the marriage ended. If couples engage in a fight with each other at their wedding venue, they should just end the marriage right there.

Senator Abaribe is a worthy Igbo son and courageous defender of democracy and rule of law. So he has no reason to fear.
I cannot say the same thing about Rochas Okorocha or Orji kalu or Ifeanyi Ubah. If these ones travel, they will be hiding from Igbo groups.
PoliticsRe: $9b Judgment: P&ID Chief Names Yar’adua, Lukman, NNPC GMD, 15 Others Behind Cont by executive12: 8:12pm On Sep 01, 2019
The reactions from Nigerians are very typical and predictable. The project failed and everybody is running for cover. Nobody is taking responsibility. If the project had been implemented successfully, everybody will want to take credit.
It's not yet clear why the project failed. However, both the GEJ and Buhari administration should share the blame for not properly protecting Nigeria's interest at the arbitration hearings.
Mr. Bayo Ojo, the former Attorney General who represented Nigeria at the arbitration has a lot of questions to answer.

How was it a fraud from the start? It seems the project planners had good intentions but execution was the problem. And it's obvious both the GEJ government and the Buhari government messed up at the arbitration hearings.

Thank you for the insult sir. It is typical of Nairaland.
I stated in the first paragraph of my comment that I'm mesmerised. No man is a know-it-all. I'm not a Muslim and I didn't know that they've got factions. If a person doesn't know something, you can always educate him or her without embarrassing the person
Please accept my apologies. I was upset about the seeming support for Buhari's blatant display of ethnic and religious bigotry. My education and upbringing teach me to be objective in analysing situations. I also have a distaste for injustice.

It's because Nigerians don't know anything. They know absolutely nothing of political concepts. Nigerians think democracy is only about voting. Nigerians don't know that the military was formed to protect them. If a typical Nigerian see military man for road, e for piss for body....

Imagine Nigerians insulting IPOB when they're supposed to be learning from IPOB how to demand accountability from your Government.

Nigerians are gone. There's no hope for them.
I believe that vast majority of Nigerians have low IQ.
