The Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has claimed that former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, indeed issued a statement telling President Muhammadu Buhari not to stand for re-election next year.

Fani-Kayode stated via his official Twitter handle, after he was challenged for giving “kudos” to Babangida for the statement.

A certain Twitter user by the name Muhammad Bello Kusharki (@mbkusharki) tweeted at Fani-Kayode saying:

“IBB issued a statement denying ever releasing the earlier statement.. so stop jubilating fool!!!”

The former Minister replied:

“U are the fool. The denial was fake news that was put out by Buhari’s desperate dogs like u. IBB has confirmed it. He stands by Afegbua’s statement and confirmed that he authorised him to release it. Tell PMB to get ready to go back to Daura or Futa Jalon. Whichever he prefers.”

Babangida on Sunday publicly asked Nigerians to vote President Buhari out of office in 2019.

This story is indeed twisted. The woman and her son claim to be in love with each other and they decided to take their relationship to the next level and got married considering that the mother, Betty Mbereko (from Mwenezi in Masvingo, Zimbabwe) is now six months pregnant and expecting her son’s child, and her grandchild.

Mrs. Mbereko who is 40 years has been a widow for the past 12 years and has been living with her 23-years-old son Farai Mbereko. She confirmed that she is six months pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late husband’s young brothers, whom she says are coveting her.

Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier and that after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it.

“Look, I struggled alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong. “Let me enjoy the products of my sweat,” she told the village court council. The son, Farai said he was more than prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the lobola balance his father had left unpaid to his grandparents.

According to him, “I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off,”. “It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant. Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.”

But local headman Nathan Muputirwa says: “We cannot allow this to happen in our village, mashura chaiwo aya, (This is a bad omen indeed). In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police.”

He warned them to immediately break off their marriage or leave his village. They chose the latter and have since left the village.

Despite this, he has told newsmen that he doesn't mind weather challenges, making his sweetheart comfortable is all that matters to him. In his words;

Leader of PNDPC and political Chieftain, Chief Edwin Clark has lashed out at former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for the formation of a Movement for the Coalition of Nigeria describing it as a deceitful a move.

Recall that the former president in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari had criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party and said both parties are not the solutuion to Nigeria problems. He also urged President Buhari to desist from contesting in the 2019 elections and said the establishment of a coalition would allow the citizens take power back.

According to The Nation News, Edwin Clark said while the message was good, the idea of a coalition championed by the former president was wrong. The Niger Delta chieftain said there was nothing Obasanjo had to offer Nigerians anymore. In his words:

“While we accept part of Obasanjo’s message, as far as it concerns the state of the nation, one won’t accept Obasanjo, the messenger, because it’s all pretence. “For him to say he’s going to champion the movement, he’s a failure already.

“There’s nothing Obasanjo has to offer to Nigerians. He was the president of this country for eight years. “He was military head of state for about three years. As a civilian president, he created corruption and legalised corruption in Nigeria. “He’s just pretending. I wonder how Obasanjo would help with the new leadership. Nigerians should not follow him.

“Who are they deceiving in Nigeria? “Let the message be a lesson for the APC, PDP and other Nigerians. “There are many other parties in Nigeria. We have over 68 parties in Nigeria. We don’t need any political force or a new party championed by Obasanjo. “It’s a deceit; it’s an insult to the people of Nigeria.”
