1. If you assess as MLS you will be given MLT 311213. You can claim 15 points for degree.

2. AIMS does not take cognizance of payment details, you will have to provide your payment documentation to DHA when you are invited to apply for Visa

I hope that answers your questions

Prisval10:
Hello everyone, my respect goes to the brain behind this wonderful thread Hon. Bellong, @tunlex for your selfless service. I have been following this thread for over a year now and need some clarifications on the following questions. Firstly, as a practicing Medical Laboratory Scientist for over seven years now, if am to assess my qualification as a Scientist but get approved as a Technician with no intention of writing the professional exam, can I still get my 15 points for my degree. Secondly, it is written boldly at AIMS website not to summit pay slips, bank statement and tax document, how can they ascertain my years of experience without the aforementioned. Please @Experience4u your input will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Canada is your best bet since you have double degree

You can as well go through anzscosearch.com to check which occupation to assess

Your spouse degree cannot assess for Tier 1 occupation as her degree duration was for 4 years.

Moksylov:
Just reading this thread and I must say you all are doing the lord’s work smiley please see below my details. I look forward to your prompt responses thank you

You can use this to assess your options

Check the occupation list to see the occupation you can nominate.
Visit www.anzscosearch.com
You may need to register on the website to view the details below
On the top middle page click "Lists" (on a laptop/computer) or click the Hamburger sign (3 horizontal lines) to select "Lists" if you are using a mobile device
Go through the 3 lists MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL
Click any of the occupations that best relate to what you do.
When you click the occupation, scroll down to 'Anzsco code' and scroll to 'Tasks'
Check if the tasks relate to the occupation you have selected.
Revert here with occupation(s) you deem relate to what you do and we will take it up from there

Hello I recently got the Aussy, 189 PR visa. I stay and work in Lagos earning 550k a month. Is this a good time to leave all and move to Aussy. I am a software developer in Lagos.

Also, I have a wife and infant son.

Thanks for your advice..

I am sorry, your degree does not align with your job.
To assess for Marketing Manager, your course of study should align with your roles and responsibilities and you must be in a managerial role with other subordinate managers.

Your wife's degree is not from a Tier 1 university and she also does not have any work experience.

I am afraid you may have to try other countries.

If you had assessed as a bricklayer, you should have been a PR by now but it is still not too late.
Dust your degree certificate and transcript and apply to TRA.
Make sure your JD aligns 80% of Bricklayer.
Include your payslips, bank statement highlighting your salary, and make sure your manager or lines manager signs your form.

Good day my ogas on this thread. Pls I have my occupation (project builder) renewed in April when it expired after 3 years of no invitation. With the current trend I'm only praying for more state to start sponsoring it as the pandemic gets reduced. But I'm thinking to assess another occupation wc is bricklayer by adjusting my jd. I have a BSc in building from oau. Is the degree not too high to use for bricklayer?. I dont want TRA to bounce me. Also I want to know if assessing bodies share informations. Would TRA knows that I have positive assessment from vetassess? P,ls I want to be cleared about this as bricklayer might give me a quick invitation. Thanks.

Oga Gazzuz, Rav4 2004 threw up code P0102, P300 to P304.
MAF and injector cleaned with Cab cleaner yet car can't fire normally. Finds it difficult to accelerate and picks fire randomly.

Spark plug changed and Ignition coil changed for all plugs yet no remedy.
If fuel is fed directly it fires normally but can't take up adequate fuel from the injector lines.
What do you think should be done, Sir?

TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Experience4u(m):
For you to assess for skill 1 occupation, your degree must either be a 5 year course or obtained from Unilag, Futa,OAU or UI
Any thing short of this will lead to a negative outcome.

JayMaine:
@Tunlex01 so I went reading up a few things again and came across this:

How we assess if your work is skilled
If you are applying for a Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa, you need to find the closest matching Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupation (ANZSCO) occupation for your current job or job offer. You must also be suitably qualified to do the job — your training and experience must match your occupation's ANZSCO skill level.

We assess your occupation as skilled if it:

is described in the ANZSCO as a skill level 1, 2 or 3 occupation, and it mostly matches the ANZSCO description of that occupation meets the pay rate threshold of NZD $25.50 per hour (or equivalent annual salary) or more, or is described in the ANZSCO as a skill level 4 or 5 occupation, and it mostly matches the ANZSCO description of that occupation meets the pay rate threshold of NZD $38.25 per hour (or equivalent annual salary) or more, or has no matching description in the ANZSCO and meets the pay rate threshold of NZD $38.25 per hour (or equivalent annual salary) or more.

And I went back to read this, too:

UNIT GROUP 2124 JOURNALISTS AND OTHER WRITERS

JOURNALISTS AND OTHER WRITERS research and compile news stories, write and edit news reports, commentaries and feature stories for presentation in print and electronic media, and compose written material to advertise goods and services.
Indicative Skill Level:
In Australia and New Zealand:

Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

Please forgive my naivety and point me in the right direction please. I no know jack!

Nice one

Skyrocket1:
Got mine Via 190 (state nomination). My student visa subclass as at then was 573 (streamlined visa processing) which was much easier and faster (without bank statement and IELTS). I finished from Uni in 2018, and applied for 485 (2 years temporal graduate visa) that same year. In 2019, i started my Professional year to claim some points on and also got the required IELTS score. I also got a job that helped with my skill assessment. I applied for 190 visa late last year before the pandemic, and got approved last month. i know it took some time cos some of my friends got theirs earlier, but as you know, no case is the same. I just thank God it ended well.
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Experience4u(m): 10:45pm On Sep 23, 2020
If you can tailor your JD to appear supervisory in nature, you stand a chance of getting a positive assessment. You need also to include your internship and NYSC jobs.

Alternatively, you can assess as a university lecturer
Mamasunshine:
Thanks for your response. Though I can't find the post you referred to. Also as I have not practised in a diagnostic lab in the last 5 years which is a requirement for MLT, I may not be qualified for that. I'm very grateful for your response.

Teejah80:
Hi everyone.
I would like to share my experience on this Aussie parole.
September 2017 I got my visa 489,my hubby move to Australia in October same year while I was still in Nigeria cos I need to resigned (work with LSG).I joined my hubby in December same year.Jan 5th we moved to a regional area in qld.Getting accommodation was hard cos we don't have Rental history, we therefore lived in a shared accommodation with a Fijian woman.God used this woman to make things easier for us in term of settling in.Hubby got a job at the factory. I applied for different roles but wasn't lucky to even get an interview. I enrolled for certificate 3 in individual support and I got Government funding,so I only paid $65 for the course.Hubby encourage to concentrate and finish the course and also look aftet the kid while he worked and foot all the bill.i finished the course with 6month.(wanted to finish as early as 2montg but the RTO wouldn't allow me of qld directive that the course should be done around 6 to 12month).I got a job where I did my placement and life was good.
January 2020 we lodged our 887(PR).God added to my family 3months after we lodge 887,so I was able to enjoyed all the care given to a citizen at hospital . NO DIME PAID. We notified CO of our additional baby, baby got 489 and Bridging visa immediately. Six month after lodging 887,got CO to rescan hubby passport. September we got our grant..
I just want to encourage anyone there, that do whatever it takes you to be here.Let me quickly add that I didn't get job in my occupation (Public health) and I couldn't do any further study cos of the cost. Finally, if its 491 worst case scenario student visa you could get, grab with Joy.If you are not lazy and you know how to save .You will be alright

Do you know any Nigerian Physiotherapist graduate who succeeded using this initial credentialing registration. I know a couple of them who wants to toe that line but are apprehensive cus of the cumbersome nature of the process.

rinzylee:
I don't know about others, but every foreign trained physiotherapist MUST write and pass the License exams (written and practical components) before you can practise in Australia or apply for PR using Physiotherapist as job role.

The only other option is to do your initial credentialing and apply for limited registration which would enable you search for a job and be able to work for 2 years or so under supervision but as a Physio Assistant.

Yes. I use world remit to Nigeria once in a while. And I prefer to pay with POLi payments.

Most times, the recipient receives the money within 10 mins. Sometimes, it's takes up to an hour. But you shouldn't have any issues
