iiiyyyk: my 96 camry over heats each time it drives above one hour, fan is working fine, radiator is ok and has been washed. the coolant reservoir has a hole at the top, i suspected water evaporates from it and i told my mechanic, but he insisted it could not be the couse.I drive a 96 CAMRY too. Here is what you need to do. Find people to seal the coolant rubber. Make sure fans work properly and change the water pump. If the radiator doesn't have any leakages definitely your temp. won't be rising. |

I suppose you feel only big 4 door sedans with. 5.7L V8 engines are the best for long distance travel.Here yourself well...You forgot to mention that a small engine will get fatigued easily because of the length & condition of the car. I only stated my opinion. I will only drive a big engine on a long distant journey otherwise I did prefer to enter a flight to my destination. |

king406: nah I don't like the engine in that, its a 3.3liter v6 with about 220bhp, I need something bigger. I'm using a car with a 3.5liter v6 engine with 240bhp now so it doesn't make sense to me if I drop down to a 3.3liter engineDude am not sure you know what you are talking? What is the make of the car you drive now? 2005 Lexus RX 330 Produces a 230hp- 3.3L -You have never driven that car to feel how smart and sharp the movement is... it takes a good driver to beat a 240hp machine not what is written on the engine. That car is better in V6. With good maintenance and a reliable mechanic that does your repairs you will never need to do any engine work. Once you get it. Make sure you change the timing chain with original to avoid sudden breakdown. V6 doesn't like sudden cut espec ;Dially when in motion. Cheers 3 Likes |

lomomike: @ bolded, you'd get a crap lemon RX, RX starts from 2.6m for the base empty carton type, and rises up to 3.2m for full spec'd option.My friend you don't know what you are talking...How much is 2001 RX in Lagos and Cotonou? In terms of performance you will get much better than camry. I know someone that goes to mechanic because of the low base line of 07 Camry. |
