Casemiro’s should have taken at least two years based on how we do things. Why are they so fast all of a sudden?

What does the buying club gain when a deal that can be done in 2 weeks takes 6 -24 months @ the same price or even higher?

For the Casemiro deal, it was fast as Real Madrid already had a fixed price, a replacement and he was willing to join.

FDJ is your classic CM in a double pivot. Under ETH, he was the most advanced in that double pivot with L.Shone who played as the DM. FDJ is known for carrying the ball and breaking lines with his passes. He's not really known for defending like Casemiro or even players like Busquet.

Barca fans want him to replace Busquet but that will never happen because he's too mobile, he just doesn't stay one place and act as that fulcrum or a screen Infront of the defence. I think he'll be sold....

With Mcfred in that midfield and Bruno that keeps losing possession, i don't see what will drastically change in that midfield unless you get someone close to the profile of Kroos & Modric to assist in that your Midfield

This is where i see major improvement and that is the defense, Case is known to put in more work there and i'm certain Maguire and that aki&pawpaw will enjoy greatly from that

Don't worry about Casemiro, he would be fine. He will pair either his Brazil NT partner Fred or a new CM DeJong/Savic.

For the defence, AWB, Varane, Martinez and Malacia will do the job.

Every possession based team is susceptible to counter attacks so that's nothing new or relevant. They have a well defensive plan and shape when out possession not because they have ball winners or defensive cover. What each coach tries to do is limit those situations which can only happen when you have players capable of keeping the ball from the attackers down to goalkeepers and were everybody presses together under a coherent plan and pattern.

Good, we can't do that here with De Gea, Shaw, Maguire, Dalot and Mc Fred.
