I think and believe that in Nigeria today, Igbos love themselves more than every other tribes. If you see any Igbo rich business man, listen to his story how he got to where he is today, he will always start with, 'I was a poor boy at home with my parents when my uncle, brother, or relation took me and brought me to the city to learn trade with him and finally settled me to start my own'. IGBOS ARE RARE. 1] You will see one Igbo man who has trained and settled more than 100 young men and all are doing well in their businesses. 2] It is only Igbo man that I have seen who would train a child that is not his in schools up to the university level. 3] Only Igbo man would send a relation abroad to go and find means to survive without minding how much it cost him. 4] Every Igbo man want his brother to live comfortably and don't have to rely on others. 5] Igbo man would rather teach you how to catch a fish than to give you already caught fish. 6] When an Igbo man marries, he takes good care of his wife and children unlike the other tribes that doesn't respect their wives. 7] My sister Murna has always said that she would love to marry an Igbo man because they know how to take good care of their wives and those related to her. 8] Igbo man, no matter what and where he maybe would always have home at heart and wherever they see their people, they make themselves known. 9] Wherever they are, they would surely have Igbo meetings and gatherings of their local governments people. 10] Igbo man would go to meetings every Sunday where they meet with their people. I wonder how anyone could say that Igbos don't love themselves, In fact we are jealous about Igbo people for how united and together they come all the time. When something happen to one of them, they would come together and assist. I have seen people from other tribes buried here when they died, but when an Igbo die here they must gather and take the body home in solidarity. Things Igbo people do together I never see in other tribes in Nigeria. An Hausa or Yoruba rich man would never do anything to help you, they would rather be giving you 20 Naira every time they see you, that is after you must have greeted them tire. If Biafra goes away from Nigeria, I will be the first to apply for their visa, I want stay with them, very intelligent people, they know how to make things happen. - Idris Abubakar, Dakata, Kano. - Hope For Nigeria. |
byrron:Perfect response... |
Though am not a proponent of Biafra today, but I feel its quite silly for anyone to state that the Niger-delta wasn't part of Biafra Region. I have been seeing outsiders(mostly from the south-west who has appointed themselves as the spokespersons of the niger delta people) tend to falsely state that the niger delta(or south south) wasn't part of the biafra region. I think its a miscarriage of information. During the biafra/nigeria civil war,one of the most protected areas by the biafran army led by late Col Ojukwu under biafra was Calabar. It was also one of the cities which the Nigerian army sought seriously to win. Why? Because it was supposed to be the biafran FCT. Calabar is not in the present day igbo land. If Ojukwu or the igbos were pursuing a selfish agenda, wouldn't he be put the FCT in his hometown or even in igboland. But he decided to follow the colony/protectorate arrangement of the british where Lagos and calabar where colonies and the rest nation as protectorates. Please note that this is just to set the records straight for those who are either not students of history or just mischeviously spreading wrong information. I will also wish that we all exist in peace. Amen |
ajani1978:Please note,we don't have an issue with what was given. The people just want to see Rochas clarify on to what he boasted on especially since he antagonised the PDP when Imo had a minister of state for foreign affairs. |
When Professor Viola Onwuliri was Minister of State for foreign affairs(and later doubled also as the minister of education),Governor Rochas Okorochas termed her a "junior Minister", and that Imo state did not deserve such junior office. He promised Imo people during campaign that APC will give Imo state a better office. Please, now that the Imo state's nominee, his inlaw(his daughter's father-inlaw) Prof. Anthony Anwukah's has been given a 'junior ministerial' portolio as Minister of Education (State) by Buhari,Imo people are waiting for Rochas justification of this. He should also explain on behalf of his Oga at Aso Rock, why a professor and former Vice-Chancellor is a junior Minister of education while a journalist is a senior Minister of education. Governor Rochas, ndi Imo are waiting. Or is he going to deny it as the APC has been doing for everything they had promised. |
In simple words,it is wrong to send such to a married woman. I can tell you that the guy sending those messages knows where he's headed to with it. As a player,he can easily escape as 'mere compliments' when the woman confronts him about it, but if he notices that she isn't frowning at them, he'll up the ante. What should be a cause for concern to your friend is that there's no record of his wife dissuading the sender nor rebuking him. That's the dangerous development. |
During the time of campaign, you told the nation that the power issue can be fixed within 6 months. Dear Sir, today is the 11th of November 2015. ........(In the words of Frank Edoho)Your time starts now!

In the last few days, the media has been flooded with news from various states of strikes, protests, ultimatums to reverse harsh policies by unions etc. And sadly this trend seems to be worse in APC controlled states. Its as if these APC governors sat down and placed a bet among themselves on who will be most creative in dealing with his people. Going by the news making rounds in the media,I think these guys are leading in the bet(in no particular order). Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Owelle Rochas Okorocha Comrade Adams Oshiomole Feel free to add the APC governor who you believe should win the bet, going by such governor's insensitivity, corruption, maladministration and incompetence. |
It seems as if the APC governors gather and bet among themselves on who will be most creative in dealing most with his people. I don't know who is winning the bet between Rauf Aregbesola, Rochas Okorocha and Adams Oshiomole. |
Buhari's action makes it difficult for majority of the southerners not to be tribal conscious |
I have every reason to believe that APC governors met and bet among themselves on who will inflict most hardship on his people |
If it were me,if anyone notices that my lifestyle has changed and asked what I do for a living,I'll simply tell the person that I have an oil well. .....And I won't be far from the truth. |
I still advocate that any man or woman who voted Rochas Okorocha in the last election or worked for his re-election should be brought before their village square every new month and given 24 strokes of the cane by his community. Atleast, that will try to measure up to the pain and hardship such person has brought upon his or her people. |
Buhari has no iota of hand in this success. Atleast GEJ had a way of sending the supporters club to cheer the team,if not at the beginning of the tournament,it'll be once they make the semi final. But in this case of Buhari,he turned a total blind eye to that leaving the players to the support of a few women and friends whose support were actually drowned by the malian fans. So with all due respect,I think Femi Adesina got this wrong |
So what did she answer when it got to the part where the priest usually ask "who is the father of this child?" |
Your question is geared at stirring a pre-conceived mischevious mindset. But I'll do just a bit to set you right. Do you know that you have countless CEOs in Nigeria. When you go to market, every shop you pass is a CEO of his own business(no matter how small). That aboki in your street that sells a kiosk,or suya is a CEO. Those women that sells on those tables calling you to buy are all CEOs. In actual sense,CEOs outnumber prayer warriors to the tune of 5,000 to 1. |
Its not EFCC now,its Code of Conduct Tribunal. Mourinho is to appear before it to answer questions bothering of whatever the APC leadership deems fit to accuse him of. |
How many children does this man Obj really have? |
APC is like satan. If you give them an inch, they'll come for the whole mile. They don't give room for mercy, they must take all. Their stand to opposition is to steal, kill and completely destroy |
Rauf wants the Osun people to go to their friends and relatives in other states to borrow money and come pay to him as tax. |
There is no single player in this mexican team that is less than 20. Quote me anywhere! |
Am not a bit surprised by the antics of the APC. We have one of them as the governor of Imo state since that party was formed,so am not a bit surprised. Lies, deception, dishonest,no regard for their word. That's APC in summary |
Since he(abi she) can violently commit the crime of a man(shattering the teeth of a bar man with a single head butt),he(abi she) should serve in the prison of men. But this is sad,I could have bet that this was a woman. With the way the west is going, very soon a football team of men will be 'converted' to women and lined up to face and beat a team of real women. They'll have more strength, speed, stamina etc over the poor women. As for this woman(abi na man),she(abi na he) won't come out alive from that jail |
This dude is physically fit |
If only some governors can cut down their greed and channel the allocation to what it was rightly meant to be. |
I don't understand. Their rent expired last year and you notified them and they agreed to pack out(rather than renewing). Why then take them to court? I am sure it will be settled out of court |
charix:Please forgive her. I can assure you that the girl had a proper upbringing but it seems she has jettisioned all that she was taught in the Abii family of eziudo. I still remember when as a kid she used to wish to grow up someday to be 'Miss Nigeria'. We're happy the wish came true. I guess she's now doing all sorts of stunts to stay relevant(including creating a fake moniker to constantly advertise herself without moderation). Please, leave her. Its a phase |
My Oga. |
I think this is unfair. Can someone tell me why this man is being persecuted for an alleged offence in 2003 while Rotimi Amechi whose corruption charges are still fresh gets ministeral appointment? Anyway, its easy to see that the CCT is in somebody's hands, someone who directs it as he willeth. Very soon, the person will be unmasked |
There is something about Goodluck Jonathan that speaks peace |
Let's be honest and objective here,it is clear that Buhari and the APC are being vindictive in their witch-hunt. Right now,Buhari and Apc are enjoying the public accolades which their selective witch hunt is bringing but very soon, the same public will turn against them when the past corrupt leaders become saints by joining the APC while their PDP counterparts get hounded at every turn |
