PoliticsShocking: A Nigerian's shocking experience with President Buhari in Paris by eyeview(op): 7:40am On Nov 13, 2018
NIGERIANS ARE IN FOR IT: A Paris-based Nigerian reacted after a meeting with PMB and Nigerian Community in Paris.

Few hours ago, a good friend rang me from France and was literarily crying. He told me he went all the way from his base in France to Paris to be part of the group of Nigerians meeting and brainstorming with PMB and his delegation. According to him(and he’s one reliable, sober and cerebral friend), WE ARE IN FOR IT!

PMB didn’t seem to be aware of his immediate environment. Abike Dabiri was the moderator of the event but Buhari couldn’t even recollect her name. Before the session started, they were frisked and their mobile devices were taken from them before entry. He approached Abike and told her of the nature of contributions he wanted to make but she discouraged him- saying he could be thrown out- all the questions asked Buhari were pre-arranged and people to ask were pre-selected.

Let me not say too much but the summary of what my friend said is, “Nigeria is in a deep mess and Nigerians are in for it”. it also made me understand Trump’s “Lifeless” comment much better.

Those Nigerians who know this and are still pushing for a Buhari return next year are wicked! They are definitely going to pay dearly for their deliberate evil and heinous acts.

As for those who are ignorantly and blindly campaigning for his return, heaven will still punish them appropriately- ignorance is never an excuse.

Like the Lagos-Ibadan expressway that is now about 70% completed which PDP abandoned for 16 years. Also like the Lagos-Ibadan railway that is about 60% completed which PDP never ever dreamt of. Like the Abuja intra-city railway which PDP started and could not finish but Buhari has completed and opened it for use. I think you need another brain, the one you have has expired.
Lagos - Ibadan exp way: 70% completed? What percentage was it before he took over? 45% or so.

Railway line which the previous govt had started and made its funding available before leaving. Even amaechi confessed that it was almost completed before they took over. Buhari even commissioned the same exact train Jonathan had already commissioned. I can search for the pics.

Mark my wards. Till Buhari leaves office, he can't boast of one thing he started and finished. Its not a surprise the national airline he tried to start died at the logo stage after consuming over N1billion. Like someone said, the only way that airline would have worked under Buhari is if GEJ and his team had floated the idea, got the technical partners, bought the planes and made the counterpart funds available before leaving for Buhari to come commission and take glory. But for Buhari and his incompetent cabinet to conceive and see it to success? You can bet on them to always fall hand

PoliticsJoe Igbokwe And The Re-definition Of Religious Bigotry by eyeview(op): 3:12pm On Nov 12, 2018
I do not have any problem with Mr. Joe Igbokwe working in Lagos. I know many of our Igbo brothers and sisters that are working in Lagos. That is how it should be and more of such should be encouraged. I, too benefitted from Lagos State. I attended LASU in the nineties, when it was almost free education. Till today, I still have that sense of attachment to the school.

My problem with Mr. Igbokwe is going out of his way to denigrate the best from his state because he wants to please his benefactors. I said that the way he was going, if a Tinubu turned into a matador and mistakenly slayed an Anambra man instead of a horse, the likes of Joe Igbokwe would justify that on the ground that death was not meant for horses alone!

The other day, he joined Obi’s traducers, those that are working against an Igbo man becoming a Vice President to roast Obi in poisoned ink by confirming him an ethnic and religious bigot? In answering Mr. Igbokwe, I had written that “after many years of granting Mr. Joe Igbokwe the benefit of the doubt, I now have every reason to believe that he is one of the most disreputable Igbo man living in Lagos. He has proved that his manner of life is dishonourable, unscrupulous and treacherous. He has drank to the dregs the loose morality of politicians that he easily forgets himself while striving to please his masters even when they are dealing with those that are supposed to be his people. Peter Obi’s crime is protesting the deportation of Igbos from Lagos.”

It is pathetic that the only reason Mr. Igbokwe called Obi an ethnic bigot was because he challenged the then Gov. Fashola for deporting Igbos from Lagos. If the likes of Obi did not shout, may be today Joe Igbokwe would be the only Igbo man staying in Lagos. Just imagine the irony, an Igbokwe justifying the deportation of Easterners to the East even when other enlightened Yorubas joined Obi in condemning Mr. Fashola.
Yesterday, Mr. Joe Igbokwe also confirmed that Obi is a religious bigot, simply because he is contesting the Vice Presidential slot against another Yoruba man.

Let us see Obi’s relationship with the Churches in Anambra State as a means of appraising him as a religious bigot. First let us peruse through Obi’s Cabinet to see the bigotry inherent in it.

Support to Mission health institutions
It will be recalled that Obi started his partnership with the Church on health at Iyienu Hospital owned by the Anglican Communion. The hospital benefitted more than other missionary hospitals from Government support under Mr. Peter Obi.

He equally supported other Anglican hospitals that did not fall under the original hospitals slated for assistance, namely, Faith Hospital and Maternity owned by the Anglican Diocese of Awka. Another one is the Amichi Diocesan Hospital. He was, in fact, the one who encouraged the Bishop to start the School of Nursing.

He also assisted hospitals owned by the Pentecostal fellowship, an example being Jesus the Physician Hospital at Awka.

In his partnership with the Churches to build and rebuild institutions, Obi built 10 maternities and four of them were for the Anglican Church and are located in:

1. Umueje, Anyamelum L.G.A
2. Awba-Ofenmili, Akwa North L.G.A
3. Ihiala, Ihiala L.G.A
4. Umunze, Orumba South L.G.A

RETURN OF SCHOOLS

After Obi returned schools to their original owners, some people outside the Catholic and Anglican Churches raise the issue of assistances only rendered to the two Churches, but the fact was that only the two Churches owned schools that were taken by the Government.

Always moved by equity, all the money shared to the mission were in proportion to the number of schools retuned to each. Is this Igbokwe’s definition of bigotry?

I understand that some disputed schools were not returned. Is returning them amidst disputes Joe’s definition of bigotry?

Like Catholic schools, all Anglican schools got buses, computers, generators, among many others. Is this Joe’s understanding of bigotry?

ANGLICAN BISHOPS ON OBI
Anambra State is better today because Mr. Obi collaborated with organizations that have the progress of the State at heart, and one of them is the Church. Obi partnered with the Church through return of their schools to them, the rehabilitation of their health facilities, among others. It is very wrong to see Obi and his bigotry through the prisms of warped minds as Mr. Igbokwe. it is better to see Obi through the prisms of Anglican Bishops, all of who, like other religious leaders, worked closely with him.

Now, see their opinions about Mr. Peter Obi:

His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Christian Efobi, Archbishop, Province on the Niger, in referring to Obi, resorted to a biblical quote: “When the righteous are on the throne, the people rejoice.”

For the Anglican Bishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Dr. Owen Nwokolo, “What Anambra is witnessing under Obi is a revolution, the likes of which the State has not witnessed in the past.”

According to Bishop Ephraim Ikeakor of Amichi Diocese, “Obi has done very well. His return of school to the Churches has made the difference in education. His collaboration with the Church is yielding fruits. Any person who says he has not done well is a blatant liar.”

The Anglican Bishop of Ihiala, Most Rev. Dr. Raphael Okafor, during the first session of the Second Synod of the Diocese at St. Andrew Church, Lilu said: “His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, CON, the former Governor of Anambra State will always be celebrated in the State. We cannot forget him and his Government, which was a Golden Era in this State which we hope will continue.”
At St. John’s Anglican Church, Umueze-Anam, while presenting an award to Obi, the Diocesan Bishop and Synod President, Rt. Rev. Dr. Henry Okeke, said “the award became expedient given that it was the last Obi would attend our synod as governor. He is a friend of the Diocese and he is being honoured in recognition of his contribution towards the success of the Diocese since inception as well as the development of Anambra West as a whole.”

At the 1st Session of the 29th Synod of Anglican Diocese on the Niger at St. Thomas Church, Oraukwu, the Bishop of the Diocese, Right Reverend Professor Godwin Okpala said, “I thank Mr. Peter Obi whole-heartedly for always identifying with affairs of the Church. God will continue to bless and uplift him for transforming the entire State. He has set a standard others will strive to emulate.”

The Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Niger West, Rt. Revd Prof Anthony Nkwoka at Archbishop Patterson's Seminary, Igbariam said this of Obi: “We shall remain prayerful at all times for God to give the State a Governor that will be like Gov. Peter Obi when his tenure expires. I have followed the Governor's politics over the years and I see in him essential godliness that is absent among Nigerian politicians. By returning schools to the missions with sincere apologies and providing funds for their rehabilitation, Obi has left an indelible legacy for generations unborn." In his own remarks about Obi, the Anglican Bishop of Awka, Rt. Rev Alexander Ibezim, during his visit to the Comprehensive Secondary School, Nawfia said: “ development under Peter Obi in all sectors, especially education is marvellous. I pity those that will come after him as it will be difficult for them meeting up with the standards Governor Peter Obi has set. Obi’s example in governance is worthy of emulation for building institutions, unlike the past governors of the state that built individuals.”

What other verdict by Anglicans about Mr. Peter Obi should be more valid than those of My Lord Bishops? I think the likes of Igbokwe are on their own. For him the prove of Obi’s bigotry is not in his actual relationship with the Church, but in what he heard from Chief Dan Ulasi, a seasoned mercenary.

I challenge the likes of Joe Igbokwe to show me, by comparison, any government in Anambra state or elsewhere that did for the Church, including Anglican Church, 2% of what Obi did for them.

Enlightened minds can engage in intellectual exercises which I do a lot, by looking at the Churches from different perspectives, but only bigots look at it like Joe Igbokwe with the aim to cause problem for the people. He is a Lagosian by adoption, don’t he know that a typical Lagos family houses people from different denominations and faith, each leaving his life without being a terror to one another. This are the type of lessons we expect him to learn and imbibe and not tendencies that are destructive to the society..

Behold the infamous quotes of the father of hate speeches whose words has promoted nothing but division on tribal and religious lines, often leading to death of innocent people.

PoliticsDesist From Hate Speeches. Peter Obi Advises El Rufai by eyeview(op): 8:05pm On Nov 10, 2018
The former Governor of Anambra State and the Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Peter Obi has expressed surprise at the statement credited to Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna State, who, in his twitter account, referred to Obi as “ a tribal bigot.”
El Rufai alleged that Obi stopped him from moving around Anambra State during the gubernatorial election in the State in 2010. Obi said he was shocked to read such an outburst of hate from El Rufai, especially when, according to him, “the statement came unprovoked, suggesting that it was what he sat down to think of rather than thinking about how to solve the many problems plaguing the country.” Obi was speaking in answer to journalists that sought his reply to El Rufai’s tweet during Youth Programme at Nnewi today.

In Obi’s words: “What His Excellency, Gov. Nasir Ahmad El Rufai said about me has been brought to my attention. I believe that as we grow older and are saddled with more responsibilities, we are expected to become circumspect in our thinking and avoid recklessness in our speeches and utterances. How does the circumstance he referred to related to bigotry to warrant such a label? All I do for people like El Rufai is to pray for them and encourage them to concentrate on doing those things that will better the lots of Nigerians rather than engage in hate speeches that will divide and destroy the country.”

Insisting that Nigeria does not need violence of speech to solve her numerous problems, Obi continues: “At this difficult time in our country, when thousands of our brothers and sisters across ethnic divide are killed all over the country, including innocent citizens in Kaduna state; millions of our children from all the parts of the country are out of school; millions of Nigerian youths from all the parts of the country are without jobs, our pre-occupation, especially among those that are in government should not be making reckless speeches. What our leaders should be doing today is seeking solution to numerous problems of our dear country.”

Concerning the claim that he was arrested on the election day in Anambra, Obi said : “I am aware that during the said election he referred to, security agents merely restricted his movement because he has no business being in Anambra as I would not have any being in Kaduna on an election day.”

Concluding, Obi cautioned Nigerians, especially those in positions of authority, to avoid the dominance of the vice of hate over the virtues of love in whatever they do.

2. APC only strength lies solely on dividing Nigeria on tribal and religious lines and its not surprising that el rufai has towed that usual part.

3. Ironically, of all the people in apc to call Peter obi a tribal bigot, it had to be a known unrepentant tribal and religious bigot? Hypocricy is the middle name of apc.
