Please what do you use to write your books? And why do authors need editors? Can't they just read what they wrote and correct the errors themselves?

Do you see how stupid you are? I haven't done an ad, written a story or sold a book on this forum in almost 2 years. Check the dates on my posts mumu. Naija no dey read and no money anywhere so I don't sell in Naija anymore and, yes, my books are cheap, not expensive. Just $2.99 will get you a copy of quite a number of them, though some are higher. Cheapness is key to more sales and publicity. I even do free giveaways sometimes.

And hey, I don't give a shit if you sell fake edu software or app. Don't care if you are the one looking for a programming job or you're entirely jobless.

GumGum:
Hello, Bro

You write very well and almost everything you wrote above is correct. However, a thread isn't only a rope for sewing and/or a set of computer programs.
A thread has also come to mean a long reply to an initial post or comment. This is what it is in social media and various fora.
You can check up on it and see that this is true.
Thank you, bro,

Yeah, you are perfectly correct. A thread can also be referred to as a discussion or series of speeches, but the problem here is, once it goes viral with different people pitching in as is happening here, it is trending. Therefore is termed a "trend".

Normally, this would be a good subject for a nice and healthy debate, but that fool was directly insulting simple.
CrimeRe: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Eze2000(m):
airsaylongcon:
See mumu! Still calling a thread a trend. There's a clear difference between both. On Social Media they are call posts not trends. A trend is when something becomes a fad (or goes viral). Meanwhile Mr "I am a published author" your personal advert is littered with grammatical errors. I'm sorry for those that "went crazy" reading your crap. Comparing your self to James Hadley Chase. Lol. You aren't just an error prone writer, you also suffer from grand delusion!
grin

You don't have to like what I write or be smart enough to understand it. Hell, man, you can even call me all kinds of names and feel sorry for your family in all kinds of ways, who cares.

Knowledge is paramount, but stupidity and a lack of civility like yours are optional qualities in people. As long as it gives you satisfaction nothing else matters.

Highlight my errors or shut up.

Thank you
CrimeRe: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Eze2000(m):
airsaylongcon:
Published author and you call a thread a "trend"? I'm sure you'd also call "I'm" am. Unless you published in your local dialect, your English errors are unforgivable
Do you see how many likes you have up there on that post which reeks of ignorance? It is one reason I stopped writing stuff on Nairaland. With an illiteracy level of over 180 million people (graduates included), Nigerians still don't read. We believe in cheating in exams and insulting people with genuine knowledge and a willingness to help. For one thing, look at the president you elected and the chaos of a country that his next level.

Permit me to educate you a little bit, but you do not have to read it all, mind you. Let's begin with your own English errors.

1. For one to beginning a sentence, a paragraph, in particular, the way you have done without a determiner might be acceptable to you or those who liked your post, even many Nigerians, but guess what? That is horrible!

Your sentence should begin thus: A published author and you......

2. From your writing so far, you seem to have a serious quarrel with punctuations. The comment in which you insulted me lacks a full stop at the end, but unforgivable is the shambles that are your next two comments. Particularly the last.

airsaylongcon:
Nonsense Nigerian mentality of leaving price out so you can over-price and hopefully negotiate.
Those who live in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones, sir.

3. You are clearly blind in both eyes or you would never have made the statement below...

I'm sure you'd also call "I'm" am.

You see, in that comment of mine you quoted, I actually used the "correct" and "complete" form of the phase you have indicated and I repeat "I am a published author!" grin *(Check out the screenshot of your own quote below)
I rarely write American English on NL or use its version of the phrase in question here, which many consider an abbreviation (I'm). I do not know how to use the Nigerian foul English version of the phrase either (am). Most often than not, I use the correct queen's English version (I am)

4. Now let's take on the particular word(s) that you feel discredits me entirely as an author...

And you call a thread a "trend"?

What is wrong...

One more thing...

Some of the best authors in the world speak bad English. Ever heard of James Hardley Chase? He speaks American street English better, hence, the tone of his books, all of which have been bestsellers for decades!
What truly makes an author is his talent, something that cannot be taught in any school or institution.

I am a legend over in the Literature section of this forum and my first book, Ruthless Betrayals, when first published here in April 2016 as a first draft, was so full of errors, but guess what? It drove women and men crazy and still does today, two editions later. Don't take my word for it, check out the "trend". The story has been moved to my website but the comments are still there.

I sold that book for #500 per copy initially, then increased the price to #750 per copy and people still bought it then came back to thank me!!! grin It's all there in the trend (remember not thread). Hit the link below.

https://www.nairaland.com/2941054/ruthless-betrayals-story-love-betrayals

My second work, a thrilling story about Boko Haram, A Billionaire's Ransom was a killer that was also full of errors when first published here on this forum. Today, after one edition, the entire series of 3 books sells for $$$ on Amazon USA, UK, Canada, etc. The Book1 is free on Okadabooks and the rest are just #500, all subsidized for Nigerians, fuel subsidy style.

The thing is when an author first writes a book it is never published right away but passed on to an "EDITOR or put through an editing software" for polishing! That first work of the author is called a first draft which is normally full of errors, after the touch of an editor, those errors vanish and that first draft becomes the original manuscript which is then published as a book. We authors and writers are the reasons why editors have jobs.

Mr. Airsaylongcon, stop insulting people even where they are ignorant or err. Correct them and be polite about it. I swear to God, you will not die if you do things that way.

I bid you a good Sunday, sir.

Indeed, you are correct but there is a problem. That post was to Khiaa not Khia. In fact, this is the first time that khia is showing up here. Welcome by the way.

After insulting me in the worst kind of way Khiaa comes back all sweet and rosey a full day later on father's day and I responded to her well even when I realized I was being used as a buffer in an ongoing verbal war. Below are some of our conversations to refresh your memory.

Sorry, i cannot find the original insult by Khiaa which you are quoting because it was removed by a mode. But I can post quotes of it by at least two other people and you will notice that khiaa and not khia is active. Let me guess, that's where you copied what you are quoting now. cheesy

Who is Adabiafra and what other thread are you talking about? By the way you are still wrong about your assessment. You are trying to clean up the timeline but the truth is you were wrong. I quoted the correct time.
Adabiafra is the same you know as Adaibeku who opened a trend about having 2 sisters for marriage. You are currently at war there and since she keeps mentioning my name and gets quoted multiple times I get too many nonsensical mentions from there. Even from you. You quoted her twice today with my name in it.

East Coast and West Coast USA are separated by just 3 hours. New York and London by 4 hours, London and Lagos Nigeria are on the Greenwich meridian so are on the same timeline. It's late afternoon where you are now, evening in NY, near midnight in London and the same here in Lagos.

I don't make mistakes in a lot of things. Even in your personality, I'm not way off.

Can you avail me in a sentence or two, a physical description of yourself? I'm interested in knowing, please.

The comment you are quoting now was made yesterday. I guess you've just been too busy with a little war to monitor your mentions. Lol

It is night here in Africa now that is why it is noon over there in Califonia. To be exact it is 10.34 pm night time here and almost 12.30 pm noon there.

And I am not so wrong about all these things I said you know. Look at how you can't resist having a go at Adabiafra on the other trend, a battle that has shifted venue twice and raged fiercely for over 3 days now!!!

Hell, babe, you even switched monikers after your main one got banned by bots yesterday. No one seems to notice but I don't miss stuff like that It's what I keep telling you and yet you keep denying it.

In reality, only nature can answer that. Ever heard my #boss Eze2000 describe the kind of woman he likes before? His first book, Ruthless Betrayals, is all about her, dedicated to his future wife he says... tall, very light skinned with big boobs and massive hips! grin grin grin Original heavy duty if you ask me!
Me, i like them ebony and compact with a sleek curvy body i can deal with from front and behind, in the air and on land (bed) grin

What really gets me worked up about you though is your moniker, the analqueen part. It kicks my imagination into gear each time i see it then I click on it to take me to your DP and there you are with that nice curvy hips and champion ass. The ideas just keep coming non stop from there.

Don't blame me please. I'm just reacting to you. I was able to control the whole thing for sometime until I discovered you were a major in the army for heavens's sake! Women in military uniform have a special allure. grin Only if you know the things going on in my mind you will set me up for a firing squad.

Try again in two weeks. You can't make an analysis without at least checking my posts first.
Not even a Ph.D holder in the field can do much without meetting you in some way, either talking to you (one on one sessions) or reading your past activities or posts as you put it. I will need just 2 weeks of talking contantly to you or any other woman to know her true character by at least 85% whatsapps will do. That is how I will do it with my wife to be when I get her. I dont need 3 years of illict relationship just 3 month or less.

Look how I got you by over 40% at least and I only know you as just another moniker on NL this past 7 days. When I set my mind to break you I will get you and if I like you I will come after you with all my guns blazing.

Babe, I am not your average man intellectually or by personality is what I saying.

And khia, some of the things you marked wrong on me are actually things you can never figure out for yourself without someone telling you.

You can never know how beautiful you are unless you ask someone or the mirror mirror on the wall.

One last thing.

1. If you are not in your 30s then late twenties but not fifties, Lol too much mouth energy in you for that.
2. It's friggin midnight in Califonia and you are still answering present on Nairaland which means you are single and most likely free.

I can't do that well onhere where you are always at war with...you know who. One on one. whatapps. I must be able to catch you at my own and talk without you knowing what I am trying to do. At the moment what we you are offering is bet and if I accept you will win by throwing up brick walls in every tunnel I dig into your personality.

Just knowing you for under a week this is what I sense.

1. You are in your 39s not fiftirs like Ada says
2. You are well and smart
3. You have a deep desire for genuie love
4. You have a short fuse and anger that if ignited can last for days.
5. You will never tolerate a man who is below in any manner particularly intellect.
6. Someone you loved has hurt you before.
7. You maybe American but your heart is African continent. I think you should visit someday.
8. You are very good at decption. for example pretending to be intersted in one thing or be one thing while you are sometbing else entirely.
9. You can be very ruthless.
10. outspoken very..... you will say whatever you want anytime and to hell with the consquence. this has probably got you inntrouble before

If I got to know netter I could expand on these or correct them a bit in time but this is basically. A picture of your face and mode of dressing will tell me even more and these I can ask for on whatsapps not here.

Forgive typos I am on phone.

You are making a big mistake if you marry someone only after 2 to 3 months. That is the courtship period when both parties are on their best behavior. The old saying is, you don't really know a person until you live with them but that's not entirely true. You could be married to someone for years and not truly know them.

What I am trying to say is, it would behoove you to get to know a person a little better than the short time that you stated, at least you will be able to see some flaws and benefits.
You see, growing up I had a huge problem. My dad had a very high IQ anf my US based Sherriff uncle was a criminologist. Me, I was a rascal and my problem was these two smart man were not giving me breathing space. They could catch me all too easily in every trick I played.

I started interest in psycholohy at age 13 and by age of 15 I could run circles around both men. You have no idea what I am cpable of doing now, trust. the only way to get the better of me is when I am pissed of and my guard is low.

I do not listen to what people but tobwhat they don't say. You will not understand. Just believe that 2 weeks on whatsapps is enough for me to know the kind of person you are.

I did some bit of business with a broke guy here last month. Gave him a product worth 70k just 36 hours after he slid in my Whatsapps chat begging.

He paid 60k last week 10k is will come next week.

What I am saying is, I can read a person like a book even when he or she is at his or her best. I only make a mistake here when upset.

Nope you have it wrong. Its the attitude that we African men hate. Personally, I will pick a well behaved light skinned black lady any day, any time for one main reason...

I don't give a hoot about beauty but I sure do care about huge hips and backside, both of which you can find in curvy abundance only in a full figued African woman.

Both. The first is a short introductory phrase (alao known as courtship) that should end with the latter. Present generations have just messed things up. Hence, your question.

Truth is you all need to give him room to continue. He opened the thread for a purpose, not for you all to come and start discussing irrelevant stuff. You guys can take your dry conversation elsewhere.
Hi,
I am a published author. I began here about 4 years ago. I must politely disagree with you.

If this trend goes dry, the op will feel he is not making sense, be discouraged and leave (no one writes for ghosts we write for people). Trust me, he comes back here just to read the comments and reactions. I speak from experience. if you look through this trend you'll notice that he often answers some questions.
