Hello there gentlemen,

I was using my Samsung Galaxy Tab A two days ago when the battery hit zero and it went off. Due to the urgency of the task at hand, I hooked it up to its adapter and turned it back to continue.
Sadly the phone froze soon after it reached the homescreen and went off. It has refused to come on ever since.

Please what could be the fault?
I ask in the hope that one of you won't mind giving out some free advice in the spirit of Xmas. I need it so i don't get bilked when i go to computer village to fix it after this festive period

The battery was playing up for some months before but then, yesterday, it hit zero suddenly when I was working on it. I hooked it up to recharge and turned it back on again only for it to freeze and go off. It has refused to come back on.

A friend said I killed the battery completely.
