InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by Ezeanna: 4:32pm On Apr 29
Hello Everyone,

Please is there anything going on with First Asset Management?
I redeemed funds from my mutual funds account for one week now and I'm yet to receive this fund in my bank account. I have emailed and called several times and I keep getting the same emails from several members of their customer service staff that they are working on it and would revert. This is not normal and unacceptable.

Please what can I do to get a father resolution to this issue.
Please assist.

Treat your spouse with utmost respect and appreciate every little contribution they make for the growth of the family.

Respect is reciprocal; and appreciation gladdens the heart and makes a partner want to do more.

HealthRe: Stubborn Athletes Foot, How To Get Rid Of It. by Ezeanna: 11:42pm On Oct 05, 2025
You need to identify the root cause of the problem and stop it at source, if not, no amount of topical or oral medicine will cure the infection permanently.

The major cause of this infection is going barefoot in wet areas. Always wear dry slippers at home, in the kitchen, bathroom, or general compound area, and wear dry shoes when you go out. Avoid muddy waters too.

When you identify the root cause of your infection, you can nip it in the bud, even without any medicines.

I was given a provisional admission into MBA last semester but was not able to get verified and obtain my Matric number. Now, I want to change the study centre I filled during my application to a different one in the same state. How do I do this please?

90% of married men are at this stage.
The typical African woman is incapable of unconditional love, unlike men who can see a woman with no money,no job,no skill,no career,no fine face,no height, no nyash, yet still go for her.
But for the African woman, you must bring something.
Hahaha.

Hello Everyone,

Pls is FBN quest still operating the Fixed income fund; or has the fund name been changed?
I'm asking because for some time now I haven't been seeing any info on the fund on their recent factsheets.

Also, if the FBN fixed income fund is still being operated by them, can someone advise the current account details for additional subscription?

Thank you.

1. There are no classes. You study on your own.

2. Exams for PGDE are Pen on Paper except for one or two courses. Exams are held on weekdays and weekends except Sundays.

3. No attendance is required except occasional visits to the study centre.
Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated.
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Ezeanna: 1:49pm On Aug 05, 2021
Hello everyone,

I am interested in running a PGDE programme with NOUN but I have a few questions that I need answers to, pls oblige me.
My questions:

1. Are classes held on weekdays or weekends; also are they compulsory, or a person can decide not to attend classes and just self-study?
2. Are exams (pen on paper preferred) held on weekdays or weekends?
3. Is there any part of the programme that would require some weekdays attendance?

I am asking because I work weekdays, and getting time off is usually difficult, but my weekends are free.

Pls advise.
Thanks.
HealthRe: What Was Your Pregnancy Like? by Ezeanna: 6:52pm On Jul 19, 2021
It's funny how you asked a question and answered it by yourself in the same post grin

Anyway to answer your question, the parties concerned in the CS delivery i.e the expectant mother, the foetus and the concerned father do not look down on the delivery, they are rather hoping and praying for a successful outcome; any other party and their opinions don't matter.

Also, all those religious leaders that ask some gullible pregnant women to pray and reject CS are partly to be blamed; most educated/exposed women do not fall victims to this anyway.
FamilyRe: Nigerian Men Have Failed Their Women by Ezeanna: 4:31pm On Jul 11, 2021
Raalsalghul:
Are you saying that if men should take a backseat and women take charge that things will be different?

Because from the handful of examples (however small) I've seen, it's still same result.

They are the same when you compare it ratio to ratio.

My argument with you is not that Nigerian men have not failed, but Nigerian women given the chance will still yield the same outcome.

Off the top of my head, some of the problems that brought Nigeria to this state;

Uncontrolled birthrate

Ethnocentrism/tribalism

Nepotism

Religion

Voting in leaders based on sentiments and so many more.

Will you honestly look at these reasons and tell me that men are the only gender responsible for the above highlighted?

Your darling daddy Buhari made us the poverty capital of the world: remember both men/women campaigned for him, both men/women voted him. grin

I'd appreciate you tackle this issue from the very foundation and stop gendering this issue.
Boss, your post makes the most sense on this thread; most other people are just looking at things from a gender-biased lens.
Each Nigerian should be more concerned about how they contribute personally to the problems bedevelling the country as mentioned in your post and how each can correct their own errors instead of making nonsensical gender blames.

Were you later able to get a DVD player that could play the MP4 & MKV video format you sought?

I am currently in need of one, if it is available.

Pls advise if you can.
FamilyRe: I'm Planning On Taking My Son To His Father by Ezeanna: 11:18am On Aug 19, 2020
Too much sense in one post.

"Children aren't farmlands" should be etched onto maternity doors. People should have kids for the joy of raising them; they are not stocks and shares to be "reaped" for dividends.

@OP, I think your child is better off staying with you. A parent that is interested in being in his child life will be the one pushing for more involvement and not being laid back as the child's father is showing. Keep your child with you, Madam, and if it's a romantic relationship you desire, by all means get into one, but your primary responsibility is to your tender child first. Let whoever you chose to date know this important fact, the serious and responsible one will stay.

Palema007:
Tarh! I'm still going to have my two sets of twins tongue and their father will be there too. grin You know why? Because I love kids, I want to have mine and I'm not after what to reap. Klass everything in life has advantages and disadvantage.Do you stop crossing the road because people get knocked down on it? Do you stop driving cars because you can have accident with it? Do you stop breathing air because it can be contaminated? Do you stop drinking water because you can get choked? Do you stop eating for the fear of food poisoning? Do you stop going to work because of the fear of the unknown? Lol.. if all I've asked is NO then you shouldn't have reasons not to have a child expect "if you just don't want to" and if you will not because of those points you raised. While as a liberal person I respect people's choice, I do not support cowardice. Those reasons aren't justifiable.

Now to the points you raised, I do not intend those points in the context you interpreted them. No! I pointed that out because contrary to the popular selfish reasons why people have kids and they make pointless sacrifices, it do not always end as they plan. Mothers can make sacrifices for their kids but they shouldn't always expect to "reap". Children aren't farmlands. You take care of kids because you are responsible for them not as future investments.Too many bitter women out their because their expectations aren't met. So if op will sacrifice her youth or life for her son, then she should know she's doing it out of selfwill, that child owes her nothing! And she shouldn't make sacrifices that may break her.
FamilyRe: Nigerians And Poverty: Certain Acts That Perpetuate Poverty In Nigeria by Ezeanna: 12:22pm On Aug 06, 2020
A well thought out and written piece; thank you, OP.

The rate at which the population of this country is exploding, I'm sure is giving sane people a cause for concern.

With millions of Nigerians gradually sliding into poverty unknowingly, the future looks painfully bleak for many Nigerians, especially the low income earners class, of which a large percentage of Nigerians belong.

The country's leadership needs to take a more aggressive approach towards the campaign for family planning, and not this passive approach currently in place. If push comes to shove, they might look at officially capping the number of children per individual/family or a similar drastic measure. Nigeria is a poor nation and cannot afford to support the population that would result from the imminent population explosion.

Enlightened individuals, on the other hand, should do well to pay attention to OP's list.

The battle against poverty is getting tougher.

God help us.

That might be the case.

I only used my customer ID number in the narration without adding my full name, as that is the way I had always done the narration before now, although I also sent an evidence of payment by mail to them on same day as the transfer, which they acknowledged.

I only just got to know from gabby18's post that the process had changed, I must have missed that memo somehow.

Anyway, I have called and messaged them, they said they are working on resolving the issue. I hope the resolution is done promptly.
This case has been resolved; my newly purchased units have been added to my holding.

Thanks, All.

FBNQUEST is really vexing me now o.

The little money I transferred to them for top up of my fixed income fund account is yet to reflect after a whopping 10 days, since 03/02/20.

Did I miss any memo about a delay in their services?

This situation is not funny to me.
FamilyRe: Don't Marry Me If You Won't Allow My Relations To Stay Or Visit Me. by Ezeanna: 10:56pm On Feb 06, 2020
Hey guys,

If you know you are not dropping at least ₦50k per month as cooking expenses for your household( of not more than 4 people), don't come here and start talking rubb.ish about your relatives living with you and your wife.

Many wives have turned to book keepers; calculating, balancing, adjusting and rechecking household budgets just so there can be food on the table, month after month.

When you want your relatives to visit or stay with you long term, make sure you have the financial capacity for such visit; don't just say my brother/sister will be coming to visit for 2 months; ask madam what the extra cost for those visitors for that time period will be, and provide it.

We all are sentimental about the people that helped raise us to who we are currently, but it does not mean we should not try to build our own families, away from them.

If you, as a married person, sincerely feel that your extended family has got your back more than your spouse, then I truly feel sorry for your situation.
CareerRe: Marriage Or Career Which Comes First: Ladies Question For You All ... by Ezeanna: 11:18pm On Dec 03, 2019
All these our Nairaland guys ehn, they can really vex somebody.

So, you guys know that a young woman choosing marriage is actually backpedaling or even sacrificing her career, because of the enormous work involved in raising children and nurturing a family; yet you use same mouth to ask what women bring to the table. If your wife travels for whatever reason for 1 month, leaving your 3 kids, all below 7 years, for you to take care of, can you handle the home front and still perform optimally at work during this period?

Many married men are successful in their respective careers because their spouses backpedaled on theirs. Yet, you won't see them opening threads to commend their wives, it is always one complaint or the other.

Our young women, please don't break your backs trying to raise families and at the same time rise to the peak of your careers. It is too big a task for one person, and even our men do not attempt it. Just try to blend the two paths however much you can; have a family that gives you joy when life gets tough, and have a job/business that helps you support your family.

Stop trying to prove anything to anybody. Be you, and do what works best for you.
