Desola: Funny thing is that i'd be happy to see them stay over you lot.Is your hatred for a fellow African group that much, that you would rather have the Chinese colonize Lagos? |
bashr8: your talking about if igbos leave, if we blink they will take over and if they succeed in lagos the rest of the country maybe except onitsha will be easy for them. These Chinese have the power of their gov't behind them. With cheap loans from China and easy access to our borders, they are here to stay. |
bashr8: yea right , wishes , after that who will replace them ? chinese or indians that have already taken over sef.infact igbos in lagos are more worried about chinese , indians than yoruba or govt. will u also dismantle all the multinationals, hotels, schools etc owned by igbos? men listen to yourself. These Chinese are truly our rivals in Lagos. They will fill the void if the Igbos are forced to leave, not Yorubas. |

Desola: not knocking your hustle at all. I just decided to see beyond my nose and going by your leader's antecedents, this rise in ibos population, in Lagos, should be nipped in the bud. First be ensuring that Akabueze or whatever he is called is systematically removed from the commisioner post and making sure such errors do not recur. Secondly, by demolishing all their strong hold areas with the excuse of redevelopment a la Tejuosho market. These wrongs need to be put right.I can respect this Yoruba 1st notion. Sensible post, but too bad your leaders do not have the courage to do this. We probably could buy them off. |
Yorubas are welcome to settle in Ebonyi if they would like. ![]() |
Stop deluding yourself. Do you know the number of Ibos killed in the north this week alone? You are indeed a fool. . .to be jubilating while your kinsmen are dying like ants in the hands of fulani herds men.
If I remember correctly, Yorubas have been killed in large number. Look at the number of Corpers who had Yoruba names. We Igbos weep for any innocent people who lost their live in the North. Your people have a lot learn from the Igbo about appreciating life. |
Desola: but seriously, bruv, ponder over it for a tad. Are these people not indirectly conquering Lagos? Didn't Tinubu foolishly or cunningly put them in government? Are they not arriviing in droves and being given free access daily? Places like Alaba, Ladipo are their strong holds now and we're still here beating our chests? Do they not have monopoly of the sme? Let's not delude ourselves and start smelling the coffee. For now, we have just one ibo commisioner, soon, there would three, four and gradually, they would infiltrate our government. How we ever gave access to one is beyond me. It's infuriating!Like it not, many groups call Lagos home. Calabar people, Ijaw people, Igbo, Idoma etc. And they will not return to their ancestral land. |
antitpiah: You probably cant locate Lagos on the map, and here you are discussing it as if your father owns Lagos. Lagos is not DC, DC is in America, Lagos is in sub-saharan Africa, two different locations **** just so you know****Chai! Fstranger is that you? Your new moniker? |
Sai One Nigeria! You Yorubas were against the Igbo leaving Nigeria, now suffer the consequences. No crying. ![]() |
What Victor Banjo could not do through war, we Igbos are doing it through peace. Without Lagos, the Yoruba are nothing. ![]() |
Desola: The status quo previously was that you don't sell your father's property and if at all you do, it isn't expected to be sold to a foreigner. Ibos own landed properties in the nooks and crannies of Lagos, heck! We even have an ibo commisioner in our government - something which would have been seen as a taboo years back so I ask you, what is the status quo?Barbarians at the gate? Do not be afraid, many of the Igbos in Lagos choose to speak your tongue so its not that bad. |
lagcity: Becos Hausa don't claim Kwara.LMAO LMAO LMAO ![]() |
Desola: seriously? Don't they currently laud it over you in Alaba, Ladipo et al?It is about time that a Yoruba admits that we have territory in Lagos. Do not forget FESTAC. ![]() |
Lagos is no man's land. The ppl of the Niger Delta, including myself should claim Lagos as our own. |
When Igbo and Lagos is mentioned in the same sentence, you know you will see trouble. I wonder why Hausa and Kwara in the same setence do not get Yorubas upset? |
Desola: Sorry, I don't speak ibo.Maybe I should speak your goat language so that you will understand. Ko ye mi. So o le so oyinbo? |
spyder880: Enugu vs Ibadan? The Enugu Champion is hia! How u dey brother? |
What is a good Igbo name for Lagos? Time for a name change. It was Eko, then Lagos so what's next? ![]() |
Desola: So what's the problem here exactly? ![]() The village crier! She has been speaking doom and gloom about Kwara now she is talking about Lagos. Will her Yoruba people listen to her as the Southwest is being invaded from the North and East? |
LOL Ndigbo is so divided on what they want from Nigeria. How can you plan Biafra and still want governorship in another state? Not against it,just find it funny.
It is part of our democratic nature. We have no single leader who can speak for the entire Igbo. That is why we have many voices. Other groups can learn from the Ndigbo instead of being lemmings for their leaders. |
shymmex, Se o n so Yoruba? Ede kan ko to ri rara. ![]() |
shymmex: What's akata? You can't even speak Yoruba, so I do not see any Yoruba supporting you. It is your own people who will distance themselves from you since they coined the term akata for people like you. So instead of being angry at the Igbo, you should ask yourself why your own people do not accept you. Throwing your own insecurities onto other people. |
shymmex: The fight is between Lagos and ndigbo or whatever they call them..Boy aren't you akata? You never lived in Nigeria so how can you be son of the soil? ![]() |
Onye ka ha na-ekwu maka ya? Ndi offemmanu ![]() |
Odumchi, O di m mma. Kedu ka i mere? |
I never lived in Lagos and I never will. Port Harcourt I hail thee. |
Never lived a day in Lagos and I will never will. Port Harcourt I hail thee! |
So they're now "so called Igbo group" ![]() You don't need to disclaim your hungry brothers to make a point.
They do not represent the Igbo who could care less about a slum which is called a city Lagos. |
bashr8: my brother the thing tire me , imagine all the insults we are getting because of that an it seems those igbos that live in lagos makes the loudest noise, i mean they need to learn how to shut their trap and stop embarrasing us all the time. lagos of all places tufiaIt is pathetic. And who can blame these Yorubas insulting Igbos in Lagos? That is like Igalas in Anambra saying they would not vote for APGA on our home turf. ![]() |
Nigeria is rotten to the core. Where most people would run away from danger, they run towards it. |
Who would want to live in filthy Lagos? An overglorified slum. I cannot understand some Igbos. At least move to Port Harcourt where we have a better claim to the city. |
