Personal insults are not needed. The points remains that Fashola has to answer to Lagosians. |
Eko Ile:Eko ile. . . you are Public Id-iot #1 |
Who is "your" leader? Does Fashola lead Ekiti state? Even so, nobody is telling you not to post crap, simply dont waste cyber space by posting the same crap on a new thread. Why not call Fashola and ask him yoursel or simply send his administration an email? All this muscles flexing on cyberspace makes no sense.
I am not suppose to have an opinion about this issue? Now that seems very authoritarian. He is a politician, and that means he gets his support from the people. And since I am part of the "people," I can have an opinion about this issue. |
You must really enjoying being the village slowpoke. What happened with posting in the other numerous threads with the same nonsensical contents as yours? Why not start something new and blame the rain on Fashola?
This is a serious issue. Rain is an act of nature. . . flooding as well. But the widespread flooding could have been avoided. Why don't you hold your leaders accountable? ![]() |
Americans like to say "the buck stops here," which means that it is the sole responsibility of that person to get things done. Well Fashola, the Naira stops with you. This flooding was avoidable and he must take responsibility for this. ![]() I am not calling for his resignation, but he must take responsibility for the loss of property and lives. https://www.trumanlibrary.org/images/buckstopsherefrontsmall.jpg |
Sun of god: ![]() You are going on the offensive my brother. |
I support the impeachment of David Mark. ![]() |
2mch:This is my advice to ACN, forget getting any support from this government. PDP is out to destroy your party. You are absolutely right, they are trying to score political points, but I still would not expect anything from the FG. That is the reason why you region voted for ACN. |
2mch:It is unfortunate that people lost their lives, but I will ask you again, when has the FG has ever protected its citizens? Can you even answer that question? I can use a recent example of Odi in how the FG destroyed the lives of its citizens. And when you use that particular phrase, use it in the right context. ![]() |
2mch:When has the FG ever protected its citizens? If they didn't do it in the 60s, why would they do it now? But your people fought to keep this country one. |

Nigeria: Merkel Tasks Jonathan On Human Rights, Insecurity Mohammed S. Shehu 15 July 2011 German Chancellor Angela Merkel yesterday identified insecurity and human rights abuse as some of the impediments President Goodluck Jonathan's administration should overcome to foster strong cooperation between the two countries. Merkel, who was in Nigeria on a two-day business trip, disclosed this yesterday at a joint press conference by the two leaders after a closed-door meeting at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja. She said Nigeria will have to expand its industrial base and diversify to be able to rectify the trade imbalance between her and Germany. Jonathan described the meeting as timely and unique, saying it came at the when he was about kick-start his new administration and promised to strengthen political and economic relationship with Germany. Merkel, who described the meeting as an extensive one, said, "Nigeria we know will have to overcome a few impediments and problems. First, to ensure transparency for everyone in this country and Germany would want to be by Nigeria side and to hope Nigeria best in this endeavour. "We made a point that is very important that Nigeria succeeds in fighting violence and terrorism in its society because it is important to guarantee the security of the Nigerian people. We have made it very clear that respect for human rights especially for minority rights is of the utmost importance." She said Nigeria has a constitution in which these rights are enshrined and that it was the duty of the government to ensure that these rights are guaranteed on a daily basis. On the Boko Haram insurgence in the country, Merkel said, "I have had the opportunity to meet with religious leaders from various areas of the country and in our discussions, they made it clear that their cooperation with the government of Nigeria is intensive and very good when it comes to addressing the problems that the country is facing. We believe that is very important that Nigeria continue down this road." She also commended Nigeria's roles in ECOWAS and promised to continue to support Nigeria in that direction. Jonathan said the two countries have agreed to strengthen collaboration in the gas sector and fast-track Memorandum of Understanding previously between the two countries. |
How did I get involved in this conversation? |
^^^ The new Beaf. ![]() Defending Fashola truly like a lemming. |
Okorocha continues to impress me with his policies. ![]() |
It depends on your definition of a failed state. To many, it is already seen as a failed state, when it cannot protect its citizens. I am starting to think he is in denial. |
Da Doctor:Do not bother. Her tribalism is confusing her senses. |
anyway!!!!! can jobless touts stop derailing the thread and go make noise in a gutter somewhere.
You are the one derailing this thread, by inserting tribal sentiment. I am criticizing Fashola for his role in the flooding which was AVOIDABLE. |
yes, to other efulefus, your words are whatever. not actual, responsible human people.
With that way of thinking, no wonder Nigeria is in such dire straits. People become offended when a leader from their own ETHNICITY is criticized. |
like i said, you are irrelevant.
To you. . . Maybe. But to others, my words are gold. ![]() |
to people such as yourself, failure depends on tribe. For example, a hardworking yoruba governor is a failure to you because he is yoruba, even if he's working hard to give your lazy butt an improved living condition. to other rational, educated, sensible and credible people who arent motor park touts, failure is wilful refusal to get your butt out of your chair and actually do what your job description entails which is serve your people, not embezzle funds that are meant for the development of your state. so, this is why you remain irrelevant.
Why are you bringing tribal sentiment to this thread? Do I consider Fashola a failure? No. . . But I will criticize him when he is wrong. And I have never lived in Lagos nor do I want to. My affection belongs to Port Harcourt. |
Okorocha lauds journalists on democracy BY CHIDI NKWOPARA OWERRI – Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has described Nigerian journalists as the doyen of democracy and biggest fighters against ills of the society. The governor made the remark yesterday when he received in audience President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Mallam Shehu Garba, at Government House, Owerri. Okorocha said he would operate a corruption-free administration and focus on the welfare of the masses in the state. He said “This administration will not embark on any new project until abandoned and on-going projects awarded by previous governments are completed.” On how he would tackle unemployment in the state, the governor said all unemployed people would be trained on different skills that would make them self-reliant. Speaking earlier, the NUJ President said Nigerian journalists had been closely monitoring the governor’s policies and programmes, especially the newly introduced free education system in primary and secondary schools. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/07/okorocha-lauds-journalists-on-democracy/ |
Imo: Okorocha orders contractors back to site …To complete ongoing projects From EMMANUEL UZOR, Onitsha Friday, July 15, 2011 https://www.sunnewsonline.com/images/Okorocha-14.jpg Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has assured that all ongoing and abandoned projects in the state would be completed before new contracts are awarded. The governor said this while addressing contractors handling several projects for the state government at the Multi Purpose Hall, Owerri. He enjoined all contractors to go back to site and complete the projects, as the present administration would live up to agreement to pay for all completed projects. Governor Okorocha, however, stated that government would not hesitate to revoke any non-performing contract and would bring those involved in shady deals to book. He urged contractors handling big projects to adopt a social responsibility project like beautification of an area and beckoned on all foreign contractors to live in a residence in the state. Imo governor further revealed that plans were on the way to construct two modern car parks in the state capital, 13 new roads, including complete dualization of Owerri – Okigwe Road, Owerri – Orlu Road and Nkwerre – Amaraku Road and the relocation of state branches of the Police Headquarters, State Security Service (SSS) and the Prison. Responding on behalf of others, Chief John Enyogasi assured the governor that the contractors would go back to site to complete the projects pledging their support to the Rescue Mission Agenda of the present administration. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/july/15/national-15-07-2011-018.html |
Why are people comparing America with Nigeria? The flooding that happened in Lagos was AVOIDABLE. In America they are having abnormally high flooding. |
These attacks are happening daily. It seems like they are pushing people out of Borno state and they will probably move on to the next state. |
well, since he's the only one working, he's the only one whose WORK is being criticized. sign of a healthy functioning govt same as in the US and other places where school passed through people, not that they simply passed through school. if you have zero and no work to show [as per majority of the other governors], then of course there's nothing to criticize. far easier to just chop money, clean mouth and sit on your butt doing nothing but listen to sycophants singing your praises.
Stop being a lemming. In the West, they call it constructive criticism. He has failed in this situation. And the blames is his alone, because the naira stops at his desk. And you act like he is the only governor in Nigeria who is working. There are many, but their achievements are not highly publicize. |
We already know this. Purge the military. |
