RomanceLadies: Would You Allow Your Man To Cheat If He Was Rich? by EzeUche2(op): 5:44am On Feb 02, 2011
I have come across married women who are married to wealthy men, and they do not mind if their husbands cheat.

Would you be ok if your man samples some earthly delights if he continues to give you the money to satisfy your material needs?

Well I can't deny it. I love them.

But I love all black, latina and Indian women.

I love your sarcasm, Igbo love money too much that they can even kill their own mother for it. grin grin grin

I wonder where all the Igbo haters are, I'm sure if that b/astard Yoruba man had been Igbo, this thread would have made it to the front page.
You are not lying. Look at the hypocrisy. When this type of thing actually occurred, it seems like it wasn't done by an Igbo.

M2/M3 Bradley

As with other infantry fighting vehicles, the Bradley is designed to transport infantry with armor protection while providing covering fire to suppress enemy troops and armored vehicles. The M2 holds a crew of three: a commander, a gunner and a driver; as well as six fully equipped soldiers. The M3 mainly conducts scout missions and carries two scouts in addition to the regular crew of three.

my language skills are weak. . . wish I had time to learn more.
I spent 3 years in Ghana. And I enjoyed my time in Ghana. I speak French, Igbo (some dialects), Ibibio, English, Twi (proficient), and a little Ga.

It is best to learn a language when you are young. I heard 3 languages in my parents home while growing up. They were French, Igbo & Ibibio besides English. One thing I regret is that I wished my father taught me Hausa.

eku_bear, on a side note, you Ghanaian proverb is hilarious. I am proficient in Twi and I had to laugh at that quote. grin Currently, in Accra, I have noticed that a lot of Yorubas have been buying property in Ghana. The Ghanaians are a good people though. They are not as aggressive as Nigerians.

Igbo chest beating? By saying that he should calling for investment in his homeland is chest beating? Maybe you should understand what chest beating entails. Calling for investment in your homeland does not classify as chest beating.

And I will not insult your people, I am just going insult you.

With all your supposed "education," you still have a gutter mind. When are you going to evolve and join the enlightened people of this world? undecided

fstranger1, we already know you are a fool. What else is new? A mind is a terrible thing to waste don't you think? With all that so called education, you still act like a buffoon. That is very sad. I am already looking past tribalism, but you are still deeply rooted in it. Did an Igbo man steal your woman before?

I am about Igboland first and foremost. Why should he help the development of another man's land? Remember your people said we Igbos have no right to claim Lagos. When we see an Igbo, Hausa, Ibibio, or even a Tiv governor of Lagos, then I shall change my mind.

PoliticsWhites Genetically Weaker Than Blacks, Study Finds by EzeUche2(op): 12:47am On Feb 02, 2011
Whites Genetically Weaker Than Blacks, Study Finds

White Americans are both genetically weaker and less diverse than their black compatriots, a Cornell University-led study finds.

Analyzing the genetic makeup of 20 Americans of European ancestry and 15 African-Americans, researchers found that the former showed much less variation among 10,000 tested genes than did the latter, which was expected.
They also found that Europeans had many more possibly harmful mutations than did African, which was a surprise.

"Since we tend to think of European populations as quite large, we did not expect to see a significant difference in the distribution of neutral and deleterious variation between the two populations," said senior co-author Carlos Bustamante, an assistant professor of biological statistics and computational biology at Cornell.

It's been known for years that all non-Africans are descended from a small group, perhaps only a few dozen individuals, who left the continent between 50,000 and 100,000 years ago.
But the Cornell study, published in the journal Nature Thursday, indicates that Europeans went through a second "population bottleneck," probably about 30,000 years ago, when the ancestral population was again reduced to relatively few in number.

The doubly diluted genetic diversity has allowed "bad" mutations to build up in the European population, something that the more genetically varied African population has had more success in weeding out.

What we may be seeing is a 'population genetic echo' of the founding of Europe," said Bustamante.
The Cornell team hopes to study other population groups in search of similar results.

For example, Native Americans show even less genetic diversity than Europeans, having descended from a few thousand people who entered North America about 10,000 years ago.

That fact was reinforced by a larger-scale study, also published in Nature, led by scientists from the Universities of Michigan and Virginia who analyzed genetic samples of 485 individuals scattered around the globe whose DNA is recorded in a French databank.

As would be expected with the "out of Africa" theory, the researchers found Africans had the greatest amount of genetic diversity, followed in turn by Middle Easterners, then Europeans and South Asians at about equal levels, then East Asians.

Native Americans had the least genetic diversity of all, indicating that part of the world was settled last.
"Previously, we've been able to look at the genome and say, 'This part is from Africa, this is from Asia,'" explained Virginia research Andrew Singleton to Wired News. "Now we can look past that and say, 'It's from this part of Africa or Eurasia.'"

A third study, published in the journal Science on Friday, may be the most fascinating of all.
Drawing on 935 individual samples from the French databank, a Stanford University team found deep traces of long-ago population movements, all originating from a "ground zero" in Ethiopia, Kenya or Tanzania.

For example, the Pygmies of the Congo forest were found to be quite close to the Bushmen of Namibia — but both were very different from most other sub-Saharan groups.

The fierce and proud Bedouin nomads of the Middle East actually have a lot of European and South Asian blood.
The Asian-looking Hazara of Afghanistan are correct in claiming ancestry in Mongolia, but the Han, the dominant ethnic group in China, may be disappointed to discover they're actually two peoples, one north, the other south.
Native Americans have at least one closely related group in Asia — the Yakuts of eastern Siberia, who themselves are related to other hunter-gatherer Siberian tribes, some of whom build wooden teepees.

The Basques in northeastern Spain and southwestern France may be right to demand their own nation — they're not closely related to anyone else. Surprisingly, neither are the residents of Sardinia off the coast of Italy.

As with the other large-scale study, the Stanford team found the greatest diversity outside of Africa among people living in the wide crescent of land stretching from the eastern shore of the Mediterranean to northern India.

Not only was the region among the first colonized by the African migrants, they theorize, but the large number of European and East Asian genes among the population indicates that it's long been the human highway, with large numbers of migrants from both directions conquering, trading and generally reproducing along its entire length.

@ Ezeuche and other clannish Ndigbo,

Please brothers, its not mandatory neither is it necessary at any point that someone from our clans or towns must be the Gov. of a given state. I'm from Anambra but never knew or cared about Peter Obi's town of origin until last Feb. election. I'm from Ujari (Ajalli) and historically, we migrated from Arochukwu. I never lean-on to Arochukwu despite the fact that I'm an ARO man. I would definitely like to see an Igboman from another state running things in Anambra and vice versa. We should be thinking more of ourselves as Ndigbo and not about our clans/towns.

Ndigbo are Ndigbo and are one and the same no matter the state of origin. One love to you my fellow umunne.
You are Aro and this is the first time you are mentioning this? How many of my brothers are on Naiaraland and have not said a word?  angry Only Udezue and I have discussed Arochukwu. Come to Abia and you will be recognized as an Aro man.

And are you trying to tell me that you have forgotten about your homeland? Arochukwu?  angry Tell me that the good Aro of Ajalli have not forgotten about home!

I must say that Aba needs massive investment. That city is being under utilized which is a pity. To be honest, Abia is not progressing. No corner of Abia has been "favored." We still have the same rogues in office. I hope APGA wins in Abia. No one I know based in Abia is supporting PDP or PPA.

Tension as soldiers, civilians clash in Makurdi

BY peter Duru

MAKURDI – There is palpable tension in Makurdi, Benue State, following clashes between soldiers attached to the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering NASME, and civilians leading to some people sustaining various degrees of injuries and destruction of property worth several millions of Naira.

Eyewitnesses told Vanguard that trouble broke out in the North bank area of Makurdi town when, after an evening outing, a group of soldiers allegedly molested the son of a prominent politician in the area.

They were also alleged to have ransacked his home on the fateful day, provoking angry reaction from the neighbours and groups in the area.

Vanguard source explained that in the midst of the crisis, the soldiers retreated to the barracks and mobilised more personnel who stormed the area and allegedly destroying vehicles and motorcycles in the process.

The soldiers were said to have returned again to the neighborhood Monday night while residents scampered for safety for fear of being molested by the rampaging combatants.

Reacting to the incident, Mr. Agbum, claimed he lost over N260,000 cash on the day of the initial crisis and regretted that several attempts to alert the Commandant of NASME on the actions of the rampaging soldiers, proved abortive as he was not allowed entrance into the barracks.

Attempts by newsmen to get the reaction of the NASME commandant was rebuffed by soldiers who mounted guard at the main entrance to the barracks.

Commenting on the fracas, a resident of North Bank, Mallam Shuaibu Usman, regretted that “the people of the community now live in fear.

We are scared because the soldiers have threatened to come back to ensure that the people who molested their colleagues last weekend paid for their actions. We cannot sleep well in our houses anymore because you and I know what a soldier can do when angry”.

Shuaibu urged “military authorities to call the soldiers to order before the matter gets out of hand.”

All I can say is that I hope the best for all of Nigeria's groups to be honest. Not only Nigerians, but for Africa in general. This divide and rule concept is still in use today.

@obiagui, if the East try to support the NORTH against the West, then expect the Total Decimation of The Eastern Region, west is the most difficult region to engage in any fight. Did you know why the first and third republic collapse like a pack of cards? You dare not support the north to its annihilation.
If the North and East invade the west, how will the Western region be decimated? The theatre of war would be in the West, so how would the Yorubas attack the Eastern Region, when they are being pressed by both sides?

Your statements does not even make any sense.

Frankly, if the Yoruba leave this union, the Igbo wont stop them. The same cannot be said about the Hausa.

How can the Ngwa be marginalized, even though they are the most populous clan in Abia State, and not even in Abia State but in Igboland in general?

The Ngwa are the largest Igbo clan, yet they are supposedly "marginalized."

I don't understand. Am from the Bende zone and I never heard anyone trying to marginalize the Ngwa. Even the small clans from Umuahia are able to have elected officials, so why are the Ngwa different?
