What the hell is wrong with Enugu PDP? Sullivan Chime is the most progressive Igbo governor. |

Freewilly:Well. . . We will see. I have no problem with an Igbo woman leading the charge. |
Villain Enough said. . . |
This woman is shaming Igbo male politicians. I love her tenacity. |
Sun of god:Civil war between who? Mubarak support comes from the the upper echelon of the military. Once he loses the support of the military, then he will be ousted. Not all older Egyptians support the Muslim Brotherhood. The educated members of that society support a secular government as well as the business elite and the military. Muslim brotherhood's influence has been overestimated. |
^^^ Nigerians don't really protest. They riot! |
Remember that this "revolution" was started by the educated youth. The Muslim Brotherhood was caught off guard with these protest as well as Mubarak. They were late to the game. Most Egyptians do not subscribe to the beliefs of the Muslim brotherhood. They are mostly moderate. That being said, the Muslim brotherhood have a large following, but the majority of Egyptians believe in a secular government. |
This is very disgusting! |
reporter?:Last time I checked, I do not create threads of this nature. The last thread that was of a "controversial" stance was the Awolowo thread. My proudest moment on Nairaland. Just google search it. But I do not make light of horrible events of this sort. I have my limits. |
Edwin Clark is hated by most Igbos. He is one Niger Deltan that I have grown to dislike. But the man knows how to get his way though. |
You are despicable bk.babe. Words cannot explain how much I dislike you. |
M1 Abrams Who wants to go against this? Not me I must say. . .

It is the Egyptian people right to choose. Even though I am wary of the Muslim brotherhood. They were the inspiration for Al-Qaeda. |
SEFAGO:Please. . . We Igbos control the African literary world Chinua Achebe Buchi Emecheta Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Elechi Amadi (When he wants to be Igbo) ![]() Chukwuemeka Ike Cyprian Ekwensi |
fstranger1:Let me clarify, on the World Stage. Chinua Achebe paved the way. And remember that Amos Tutuola never did gain international recognition |
fstranger1:Did you see the list of the Greatest Africans of All Time? |
bk.babe97y:Chinua Achebe is in a league of his own. His novel was the FIRST novel, to look from an AFRICAN perspective. And it was answer to Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. A novel in which I was forced to read to read as well. Achebe paved the way for thousands of AFRICAN authors. And BTW, Cheikh Anta Diop is someone who I admire as well. He does not get the recognition he deserves. |
fstranger1: ![]() Do not get me wrong. I do enjoy Wole Soyinka. Death and the King's Horseman is one of my favorite books as well. That being said, Chinua Achebe is still widely recognized throughout the world. He is not known as an Igbo man though, he is known as a Nigerian. |
Eko Ile:Who said GEJ is Igbo? But the man does bare Igbo names. That should speak volumes to your pathetic mind. And stop peddling likes about this fictional "inferiority complex." You and I both know that many Igbos feel superior to anyone. Even after losing a war, we still have a high self-esteem. That also speaks volumes about my people. Now tell your people to stop play boy-boy with the Hausa. |
Bobajo:Things Fall Apart is the most widely known book of African origin that has been translated in hundreds of language. Do research before you make ignorant statements. And enough with the hate. Chinua Achebe is Africa's most well known author. No one can deny this. His book is even taught in the oyibo curriculum. |
bk.babe97y:Do you mean in your dreams? Keep dreaming my "brother," maybe one day you will taste that forbidden fruit. ![]() |
bk.babe97y:Sorry but the woman has class. GEJ wouldn't dare try that mess with Ikemba. |
Abagworo:I have never heard of an Aro Igbo, being referred as a "Core Igbo." Most Igbos consider us more Ibibio than Igbo. That is the truth. We have to constantly say we are Igbo. Even the Aro Igbo with Ibibio last names are sometimes rejected as Igbo. Igbos might say, that our name doesn't sound Igbo. |
Rough night with an ashie. |

Interesting thread. I have no love for impersonators! Shame on that guy. ![]() |
Proper etiquette would have told Aganga not to trash his predecessor. He doesn't have to agree with his predecessor, but that does not mean he has the moral authority to trash another man's record. |
Abagworo is starting to annoy me with his post. The Berom people should not even have to fight people on their own land. They are the keepers of THEIR land. |
Nice picture of him. ![]() |
Very interesting how this thread turned out. |
