Abagworo: I dislike you so much. Why did they target Christians, Southern Corpers and just any regular Southerner who lives in the North. You are a dammn apologist. |

This is a travesty! No mother should have to ask for this. We mostly hear about the Corpers from the SE who lost their lives in the North it is time shed light on the others who lost their lives to this senseless violence. This shows the inhumanity that was committed against the people who are my age mates. |
Politics / I Want My Son’s Corpse – Says 62-year-old Ekiti Mother Of Slain Corps Member by EzeUche3(m): 4:13am On Apr 26, 2011 |
I want my son’s corpse – says 62-year-old mother of slain corps member When Seun Adewumi completed his degree programme at the Olabisi Onabanjo University , Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, his dream was to take care of his 62-year-old mother, a retired cleaner of the Judicial Service Commission, Lagos State . With enthusiasm, he gladly received his posting to Bauchi State for the one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps Scheme with the hope that he would get a good job after his service year and move his mother from the uncompleted building she lives in, at Agbado, an outskirt of Lagos , to a more decent apartment. But this dream was shattered as life was snuffed out of the 27 year-old Political Science graduate in a gruesome manner last Monday by post-election rioters in Giade, the headquarters of Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State. Born in Lagos , Adewumi, a native of Imojo-Ekiti in Oye Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, was the only graduate out of his mother’s six children. One of the corps members that survived the attack where over seven of her colleagues met their untimely deaths, Wumi, said Seun was butchered to death by rioters. jason123: I seriously doubt that. The Igbos have always knew the Hausa intentions since the 60s. I don't know about the other groups. Some might say Ojukwu was visionary. I share that opinion of him. Ojukwu seen Nigeria's trajectory way before anyone. God bless him. |

People need to realize that the Fulani are quite crafty. They know Nigeria better than any Southerner. We might brag about education, but these Fulani know how to keep power. And they know that the secret in maintaining power is to use force. While GEJ is planning his next move, these Northerners might be a few steps ahead of him. The Northern elite should not be underestimated. |

Politics / Re: Do You Support A North/South Referendum? by EzeUche3(m): 1:07am On Apr 26, 2011 |
Justcash, this is hard for me to say this, but I am going to need you to shut up. If you want other nations to support a referendum, you need a blueprint, in which they will support. They will not support a South that is divided. The south-west would not be able to go to the UN and have their blessing, nor will the south-east be able to do so either. The fact remains that both regions need each other if there is to be a referendum. A united front, is what we need. How do you think Southern Sudan got its freedom? You know that Southern Sudan is not homogeneous don't you? It is a heterogeneous nation that has many different groups of people, but they all were united against an Arab north. The same can happen to Nigeria. If we stand united against the religious extremism found in the North, then we will be able to have our own nation. |

Even we Igbos have connection with the Benin Empire. Especially the Western Igbos. Benin's influence can be felt throughout Southern Nigeria. Let Benin City be the capital of a Southern Nigeria federation. |
