payless: Jonathan gets the blame because he seems to be powerless to arrest the sponsors of Boko Haram wchich we all know are Adamu Ciroma, IBB, and Atiku. They are all members of PDP. Until he arrests and prosecute those people, the blame will continue on him. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know who and who doing this killings. Imagine what Obasanjo would have done to these Boko haram sponsors. It is more likely that IBB may arrest GEJ at the time of his choice than the other way around. Unlike you and others like you, GEJ recognises the boundaries of his power when it comes to his dealings with the likes of IBB or OBJ. |
I am yet to see or hear any evidence that boko boys are responsible for this. Those who voted GEJ will never admit that they voted for an incompetent novice out of tribal/ethnic loyalty rather than him being cut out for the job. They voted a wrong person in and now we all pay for it. Next time vote for someone who can actually run Nigeria instead of someone who could be your 256th distant cousin. |
The irony is Ghana and Nigeria do not even share an inch of a border. In fact there are two countries, Togo and Benin, between Ghana and Nigeria. Thats why I dont understand where does this Ghana vs Nigeria antagonism come from. I suspect its mainly due to jealous that one of those country is orderly, the other is increasingly get chaotic day by day. |
If white people truely think that christianity is a way to heaven, then they would never allow black people to become christians. The fact that white people want every blackman to become a christian, that is enough reason for me to keep away from christianity. |
The following counties are much better than Nigeria. Botswana Namibia Ghana Tanzania The rate at which democracy is getting matured in those 4 countries above is a few light years ahead of Nigeria. Some of them are truely developing into a nation in accordance to the geopolitical boundaries drawns in Germany by Bismarck?. Tanzania for instance have a national language that is neither English nor French, and does not belong to any particular ethnic/tribal group in the country. Now more than 90% of Tanzanians speak Swahili as a first language, and the remaining 10% speak it as a second language. Forming a nation takes centuries of civil war until the most powerful group imposes itself and dictates the mainstream culture of that nation. Miraculously the Swahilis seem to have got away with those many years or tribal wars and are fast becoming a nation for the real sense of the word nation. Those who have visited the country will testify. It it not uncommon to see a bunch of Swahilis, none of whom would know the tribe of any other member of the group. If Ghana had what Tanzania has now, in 50 years time Ghana would have easily developed into a very powerful country economically and politically. |
He stood firm when others ran, I thought Abidjan was not in Enugu ![]() |
The guy is a christian and he terrorises for christianity. Therefore, it is not in the interest of the powers that be to pursue him and bring him to "justice". |
Confident in what way?In making loudest noise when other are having a quite convo |
If you read most of those daft answers you can see that some of those kids are very smart but pretending to be clowns. The kids live in a country whereby education (passing exams) is not the only way out. I remember at school I used to hate organic chemistry, and if I was in a country like UK on those days then I could have probably given even daftier answers in organic chemistry exams. |
Delivering possessed witches. By holding an old book and making noise in gatherings; declaring someone has been possessed and need to be delivered; You get more money and more women to skrew than any other profession. |
When a baby start wondering outside their house, they see a rooster and think " this must be the biggest of the beasts". I lived in Lagos, and I've also lived in Istanbul. Its much much much easier to survive in Lagos. |
You cant survive in Lagos if you are not smart!Bcoz in other states people still see the point of life. Not everyone is John Suicide like you guys in Lagos. How many die a day bcoz of that "smartness" of jumping into/from moving vehicles? Smartass indeed. |
Not to denigrate anyone but I've come to find out that Nigerian (nay Black) Christians are the most Ignorant when it comes to their religion. They do not know its history nor do they know its origin. Compare how a Muslim, Buddhist, Jew or Hindu knows his/her religion in and out and you'll realize that majority of Christians do no have the slightest idea about their religion. Many still dont know Jesus was a Jew. Nor do they know that he wasnt a white man. A lot (as evidenced by the responses on this thread) dont even know what language their "Savior" spoke. A good 99% probably dont even know that Jesus was not Christian!Dude, what are you Talking about? King David is called a christian by Nigerians. Even though he lived gazillion years before christ. No wonder Nigerian christians are very much scared of the truth. |
This kind of thread is an evidence that western education is a sin. Only africans who are westernly "educated" would compete who is the best at oyinbo's table manner. |
Has ojoukwu died again? ![]() |
Well, may I explain in the simplest language that may be understood by "almost" anyone in Naira Land. Lighting strike is a natural phenomenon and Africa, North and South America tend to have a good share of lighting strikes. What happens is, a huge amont of electron accumulates at the bottom "surface" of the clouds above us, and thus that surface is negatively charged. Those electrons seek to flow towards the Earth which is at a ground potential, "0 volts"; but the atmosphere between the clouds and the Earth prevents that flow of electrons. However, if that air resistance somehow breaksdown, all those electrons will flow in a very short period of time as a massive current of electricity as a lighting strike, producing light, sound and heat. That is why the resistance tends to breakdown at the shortest distance between the earth and those clouds. For instance, at high mountains, or somewhere with very tall trees. Holding an umbrella, or wearing kind of clothes with some electrical conducting materials in them may render one susceptible to lighting strike in those stormy conditions. I hope this simple explanation helps against the "black art" or black anything. |
When will Abidjan issue the casket visa for their adopted son? |
The desperado one should call more. Normally this should be the guy. If this happens to be the girl, then the only reason he is with you is because at this moment in his life you are the best he can do. I know this sounds terrible but its an unfortunate truth. And it is natural to us men that once you've let us into your knickers, your value depreciates tremendously. |
Oju-iku ran to ivory coast, his children are running to cameroun.why ?do you want them in Lagos? ![]() |
No doubt, males will always try to their mothers but let your mum know that extra marital affairs will be inevitable in your life should you marry who you do not love. I rest my caseAre you suggesting that infidelity in non existant to modern marriages where parents have not been involved in picking one's suitor? |
This thread is not much different from that one of those who bleach their skin because their delusions of grandeur tell them that they get closer to their master, oyinbo, by becoming "white". Im not a big fan having a partner selected by parents, but that is what we are all a product of. That has been a social norm in all cultures in Africa and it seems to have worked so well. I know that there is no evidence that having your wife selected by your parents guarantee a happy marriage; neither is there any evidence that choosing your own partner guarantee such success. In fact, arranged marriage are more likely to produce stable families than self choosing partners can ever aspire to. When my dad was ordered to get married, he was 22 and his aunt was given the task of finding a wife for him. The result is our mother, and they are together, happily married since 1967. My 2 brothers and I chose our own wives, and non of us had any success the first time around. The "shit"uation that has forced each of us to ha ve kids from different mothers. And guess what? We always blame our father for letting us nevigating our own ways and learn the brutality of dysfunctional marriage in a hard way. Some choose their own wives and end up with great success, and some far from it. So each to their own, but their is no need of denigrating our traditional ways just to impress someone that you are "educated" and now you became oyinbo. In fact, even oyinbo, those oyinbo from aristocratic background do not choose their own wives, even today. You are a product of arranged marriage, if not your father, then you grandfather. Respect our ways a little bit. |
what went wrong?ibos invaded and they're the best in creating chaos out of order. May be thats why the northeners want to send them packing ![]() |
How can funeral be "lavish" funeral? |
Its amazing how fast africans are transforming themselves into oyinbos. If you are a married man, your mother is also your wife's mother in law. So think about how long is your own mother allowed to stay in your house. That will give you the answer of how long should your mother inlaw stay in your house. |
let the fools keep giving to the pastor. Pastor Chris even ask women to receive his own seeds in the name of jesus and some of them do |
On the dodgy evidence presented so far, no verse in the bible where God has forbidden multiple wives. However, religious extremist want to make their own interpretation of as what God meant it to be. Unless God was shy to forbid multiple wives then he had to use "implied" statements like "they shall become one flesh". Becoming one flesh is not and strictly forbidding taking a second wife is not the same thing. As you may interpret one flesh in that way, I may interpret one flesh as one family. Because literary, two people cannot become one flesh. Metaphorically, it can have numerous meanings. Since God has never explicitly firbidden multiple wives anywhere in the bible, together with the facts that the prophets like Abraham, David, Solomon, etc had multiple wives; It is not too late for some brothers to accept the fact that they have been duped beautifully. GOD HAS NEVER FORBIDDEN MULTIPLE WIVES. PERIOD. |
Quote from: Ezeufi on Today at 04:33:00 PMI've seen all those lines in the bible. Now tell ,e which of those says a man is not allowed more than one wife? |
That phrase marry only one does not exist in the bible. I have read it from genesis to revelation and nowhere in the bible, (torah, psalms, gospel, you name it); there is no a single phrase where God has explicitly said marrying more than wife is forbidden. That phrase can only be found in Qur'an. |
1. The bible is strongly against it (matthew 5:31-32). Since, d bible is against why shld i try it.This is what Mathew 5:31-32 says. "Moreover it was said, Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. However, I say to you that everyone divorcing his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her a subject for adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman committs adultery". Now tell me, where did the bible forbid marrying more than wives on that line? 2. I guess this thread is for non-igbos as polygamy is not a part of our culture.According to the Achebe’s fiction book “things fall apart”, Okonkwo was a respectable ibo elder. And the paragraph below accounts for Okonkwo's wives. "his first wife, mother of Obiageli and Nwoye. Ekwefi - His second wife, who abandoned her husband for Okonkwo; mother of Ezinma. Ojiugo - His third and youngest wife, mother of Nkechi. " Now, where was Okonkwo admonished by ibo Gods for having multiple wives? Yet the ibos in nailaland tells us that polygamy is not part of igbo's culture. Let me tell you this, the ibo of today feel inferior over other cultures and that is why they are trying to transform their culture and assume oyinbo culture, while deceiving themselves that oyinbo culture is ibo culture. Well, believing your own lies doesn’t turn the lies into truth. There is not, and there has never been a single african culture that forbids multiple wives. And out of all the Abrahamic religions, Judaism, christianity and Islam; Islam is the only religion with a phrase saying marry only one woman in their book. Qur’an in surat An-Nisa says this. “marry women of your choice, two or three, or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly, then marry only one”. |
What do you expect from this kind of people?
