Afam4eva: I'm telling you what i heard from an edo man and you're saying it's in my head. And btw, this man is not one of those edo people with Yoruba names. He's a typical bini man.
imagination is free and it leads to freedom of speech. use it as u wish.
and u are also free to imagine if biafra had won the war, a bini man will tell u all edo people are igbos.
but at the end of the day, it is all in ur head.
CultureRe: Anioma Is An Ethnic Group - Emeka Esogbue by ezotik: 6:59pm On Jan 24, 2013
Afam4eva: Dude, i'm not lying. The guy was my lesson teacher when i got out of secondary school. I've also met few edo people like him. When the guy said it, i just felt ashamed on his behalf. I can understand someone having an affinity with an ethnic group but how can an edo person tell me that edo people are Yorubas. Yet people who speak Igbo and bear Igbo names are saying they're not Igbo. It all boils down to the civil war.
dude, it is all in ur head.
edo people who speak a yoruboid language do not claim to be yoruba not to talk of a bini man.
CultureRe: Anioma Is An Ethnic Group - Emeka Esogbue by ezotik: 6:51pm On Jan 24, 2013
Afam4eva: I agree with you. I once heard a benin man say that benin and edo people are Yorubas and i was like WTF. These people don't even speak a language similar to Yoruba in anyway but he was embracing being Yoruba. But on the other hand, even people who speak Igbo and have Igbo will deny their heritage. I bet you, an Igbo presidency will change a lot of things.
stop lying.

CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by ezotik: 11:28pm On Jan 23, 2013
pazienza: Ojiofor. Do not talk ill of Owa,Owa is an Nri area, the obi of Owa made that clear. Owa was founded by a man named Odogwu( obviously an igbo man, though agbotaen have tried to edonise him by writing his name as Edogun, hahaha!). Odogwu was the son of ijue, the obi of ute -okpu, ijue himself was the son of Okpu, Okpu together with his brother Ona are of Nri descent. Ona,Okpu and Ogbeje(a bini migrant) once inhabitated ute-ogbeje. Odogwu met some bini migrant when he founed Owa, the leader of these bini people was Ofien,it wasn't long when Odogwu and Ofien started dragging for the leadership of Owa,that they went to Oba of bini to settle the case, the Oba ruled in favour of Odogwu, in appreciation to the Oba,Odogwu and his descendants who became Obi started taking the names of previous bini kings, but they never forgot who they are.
in the same vein, u should have also admonished him not to talk ill of bini. after all from ur little piece, it was the oba he wrote reckessly about that gave odogwu/edogun the authority to rule over the land. that alone deserves respect.

adexsimply: Until June 25, 2013, your spiritual world, compassion, private life, and tolerance continue to expand and grow. Matters from the past are magnified in your life now. You continue to sort through which attitudes serve you well, and which behaviors need to go in order for you to grow and improve - a cycle that began in June 2012. This is generally a warm, protective cycle, although with Jupiter in the background in your chart, there may be some sense that you are not truly living or experiencing your life to the fullest. Your close personal relationships tend to be private and possibly involve some sacrifices.
the story of my life, huh grin

royal canadian mounted police (RCMP) was made up of all black officers back then coz canada was intially a colony of the benin empire until 1897 when benin fell to britian. and the whitening of the royal canadian mounted police started with this quote by a white officer... “Gosline, you stick out. You make our troop look bad and you better be White by 6 a.m.”

CultureRe: Black Jew? ??? by ezotik: 9:03am On Dec 30, 2012
it started out as a term used by confra boys in nigerian universities to describe those who do not belong to any form of confraternity. such a person is known as a 'jew'. but the term later spread out from universities to describe anybody who is ignorant or does not know what is going on around him/her.

lol becos u chose to remain ignorant does not mean others are coz i remember bokohalal posting a bini folk song specifically to u about ika. the knowledge is out there, go and embrace it.

CultureRe: Eating Rice With Bare Hand Instead Of A Spoon? by ezotik: 8:46am On Dec 16, 2012
rice is not what nigerians generally eat with hand in their homes and it has nothing to do with silver spoon. and even if u go across mama puts/restaurants from villages to cities, i doubt u will find anyone eating rice with hand.
CultureRe: Eating Rice With Bare Hand Instead Of A Spoon? by ezotik:
i dont eat rice with bare hands and i don't know anybody who does, and it is not a matter of forming. the nature of rice makes it difficult to eat with bare hands since they are grains but i might eat the meat with my hand since the way we tend to slice our meat is big and with bones. it will be foolish trying to tackle cow leg with any form of cutlery. so the best bet is to dig in with ur hands. however, i find it absurd when people eat swallows like eba, pounded yam, akpu, amala, etc with fork.
