I've been able to find these schools to fit for my course MSc Chemistry.
1. Please do we have any current student or aspirant of the following schools? Indicate

2. Anyone with information about the Schools and the cities; cost of studies, possibility of jobs, cost of living and any other info that could be useful, please share.
Though I read about them on daad.de, but still wish to hear from people's experiences and ideas about them.

3. Does anyone know of Schools in Frankfurt and Cologne that offer the course? I couldn't get any on Daad.de

*FAU Erlangen-Nümberg
*Freie Universität Berlin
*University of Siegen
*Ruhr Universität Bochum.
Aspirant of Freie.
We can connect.

What was their decision on? And how many days/weeks running since you submitted your appeal?
It's been 2 roughly two weeks since they sent Acknowledgement mail.
3 weeks in total since I submitted the appeal.

this is AE
This is surely an AM. Perhaps the omission about Travel insurance and passport was an oversight.
I advise you attach the two to the requested envelope.

Worst case scenario, they returned them, but God forbid it's their intention.

Congratulations!
My story will look like yours.

Well, as someone in the textile business, I sew most of my clothes to body fit, but I agree, I could look much better with a little bigger body.

I hope you find a solution though.

There are two questions you probably didn't answer well.
Why chemistry and why Germany?
Can u please tell us what your answers were and what School you're going tohuh
I don't think so.
I have ready a thousand transcript here and beyond to not know how to answer those questions.

Infact, she was the one that suggested the PhD after I told her that I am doing the same Chemistry in masters so as to perfect my trade and qualify to work as lecturer in that course.

Now, I am beginning to think that I got rejected because they probably think I wouldn't meet up with the enrollment deadline which is this October end.
I told the VO that I have started the enrollment and was only waiting for the enrollment certificate to be sent to me... perhaps she didn't hear or take note of that.

I am going to Free University, Berlin.

Krizjay:
Do you mind telling us the actual reason that was stated in your Rejection letter. meanwhile since your MSc Chemistry is in line with your BSc Chemistry, i think u have a good chance at appealing, but please during your next interview do not in any way make the VO suspect that you have another intention/motive aside your Msc Chemistry Study in Germany, be it study related or otherwise. No Ma i am not interested in pursuing a PhD Course at this time as my intention is to return to Nigeria after my MSc to establish a Laboratory/work /teach/ research and garner more experience in my Field
"Due to your information provided on application, there are doubts in your case about the stated purpose of travel. In doing so, you were unable to plausibly demonstrate your intentions to study. The discretion could not be exercised in your favor. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements were not final"

She suggested PhD along with scholarship for that and I only agreed.
Thanks for your care.
it's well.

Haaa! Glory be to God That's very relaxing and assuring. U will win the appeal. Please do send ur appeal by Post and email together And please always give them reminder, like every one week or two. It will surely end in good news, watch out!
Amen bro. It's well.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Fabricio07(m): 7:19am On Sep 27, 2019
Chriswazo:
No, there's nothing about the PhD that dampwns his study purpose.
If that interview transcripts is actually what played out, all these rejection are all oversight issues and should be appealed vehemently, but do get an enrollment cert if is possible by proxy or far enrollment extension. It will surely take time but I see them winning it. My only fear is enrollment deadlines can make your the expected win.
Thanks Chris.
I am expecting my enrollment cert soon.
the school has received my payment and documents.

Guys please help me before I fall into depression. My visa application was rejected within one week of interview. The DHL Man delivered my original documents today. In the letter of rejection which is in German, this is what I was able to translate;

"Due to your information provided on application, there are doubts in your case about the stated purpose of travel. In doing so, you were unable to plausibly demonstrate Thre's intentions to study. The discretion could not be exercised in your favor. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements were not final"

I don't really know how to proceed. Guys please help me. I have spent over 5 million on this process blocked account inclusive. Most times when I came to Lagos for the processes like Ielts, other exams and Interview, I was lodging in hotels coz I have nobody in Lagos. The transportation was crippling too. Please guys I really needed this. Am depressed. This course would have given my life and career the needed career trajectory.
My brother.
we are in the same boat.
I received the same sad news today.
I will pm you right now.

Can you remember the questions asked?
1. what is the difference between Na+ and Na. 2. Under what conditions do real gases behave as ideal gases? 3. Why do we use K,L,M,N instead of A,B,C,D?

They're quite okay. if you're lucky, you will get easier questions. it's just that local man has been out of class for few years.

No..I think that guy came for normal Schengen visa.

Philfit:
Congratulations.
That’s quite odd, cause I was there today(Blue native), first person to be interviewed, and the woman on dreads wasn’t on seat. Met a guy who says he’s new to SL but he’s been following , welcome to the thread ‘Udochi’ , and I’m pretty sure when is as done someone was being interviewed by a man who spoke with a Yoruba intonation.
Anyways wish you the best. wink
yea I noticed that few people have been interviewed before me.
But I didn't meet you guys at the reception area.
you were the person being interviewed when I entered the waiting room.

It's the same VO ..I just define her hairstyle as dread because it's locks.

A.M fall on us bro.

Had my interview today
TRANSCRIPT
I arrived at the embassy with my umbrella and was checked it immediately at 6:45.
I was the only person for students visa at that moment.
A fairly old and tall man with a very calm demeanor was doing the work of the famous Mr Paulinus so I was thinking; Mr Paulinus is too nice and gentle o judging from the way he was arranging the documents of the other Schengen visa applicants.
Soon, two other people joined me and he came over to us.
Called out the checklist, i was easily following him because I already followed the arrangement advice here.
The other guys weren't as fast, then he asked me to go get another copy of the admission letter. (I followed the advice that says you don't need the original if you didn't receive it by post.. I was wrong)
It was while I was on it that they told me Paulinus traveled and that man is deputising for him.
When I returned, I helped others to arrange Theirs and he checked us in.
I was interviewed by the friendly, smiling lady on dreads. Infact she was the only VO on duty today and the students are not much.
It was more like an informal discussion.

V.O: hand me your documents please (with a great smile and positive energy).
VO: Completes the preliminary session, gives me the payment receipt for visa fee of N29,500.
Fund your Fintiba and send me the confirmation to this email.

VO: Masters or Bsc? why Chemistry? Why Germany? Why not Nigeria? Why not USA or UK? Where is your school located? BSc thesis? Since you want to be a lecturer, you should hopefully do your PHD at once. Hopefully you get scholarship for that.
I was just saying yes Ma, I pray so too while I smile and nod my head like agama lizard.
VO: what do you know about Germany geographically, economically, politically? What position was the president occupying before he became the president? What is his political party? what is the longest River in Germany? What is the capital of Germany?
All these I answered correctly, then she asked, what is the size of the river? I said I don't know.
She told me..800 and something
.
VO: do you have any family in Germany?
Me: yes, a family friend and a school mate who is also schooling in this same school I am headed to. ( Freie University Berlin, by the way)

Then she gave me a Chemistry test...3 questions which I am very sure I answered 2 correctly.
VO: any questions for me?
Me: No ma!
VO: Ok, that will be all, we will communicate to you through the email.
Me: Thank you very Ma. Have a nice day.

I pray that God will meet all of us in our points of need in this German waka.

Thanks to all the contributors on this wonderful Nairaland family.

This SL get comma sef “nachgewiesen” isn't Ticked. That could lead to a straight rejection of the SL

Hmmm embassy? Definitely not cuz it will require another booking. I'd go with notary. Thanks a lot for the help.
It's like you have more than enough money because Notary clubs are generally more expensive.
Use High court joor and make sure you certify each page of every document.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Fabricio07(m): 11:15pm On Sep 11, 2019
malcom2x:
Thanks a lot sir. Any high Court abi?
First check the requirement of the school you're applying to.
Some of them specifically request for Embassy certification, some specifically request for Notary club while others don't specify and therefore accept all.
However, I notice that uniassist accepts that of High court easily too.

Dankeschön
Remember, you don't certify the original. what you certify is the photocopies. You only go with the original for sighting. sometimes, they don't even look at it.
Peace!

Good morning guys. I've been offline a lot this week. I just want to tell you all that I got my visum on Monday afternoon. I'm really grateful to God and everyone here. Y'all are the best.

For those still hoping for one thing or the other, just keep pushing. It's becoming harder but we can't STOP.

The rejections here are quite scary, but let's not be discouraged. In anything we do let's just keep praying. Believe me my interview wasn't fantastic. I doubted sometimes but nvr stayed far from God and He saw me through it all.

Remain blessed y'all.
congratulations bro. God will meet us all in our points of need in this waka.
