Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How I Got A Job In An Oil Firm Through Nairaland! by Fabuloski(m): 4:17am On Jan 11, 2019 |
itsmeurLady: Before i begin the Gist, lemme start by saying "Happy New Year to All NLanders! Wishing You All a Fruitfull and Productive 2019!"
I have joined Nl for quite a while now but i started taking it seriously when i got out of the Uni. Nl encouraged me through some posts to be serious and active with my LinkedIn account. From here, i got a special somebori @intelligentdude (not boyfriend ooo) that helped me profesionally create a CV for my jobhunting experience. Yes, Your Cv and cover letter goes a long way too. I never for once got rejected anywhere i submitted my CV + Cover letter but that's by the way. I Was active on the job/vacancies section here on NL and applied for jobs (excluding bank jobs tho). I also got past questions from here as well, some i bought, some i didn't buy . So i applied to a Graduate Trainee Job in an Oil firm as a Customer Relations Officer and after so much waiting, coupled with the Grace and Favour from God, i finally Got the job and i came here to say Thank You to NL and all the amazing people who continually post jobs on these platform, i am really greatful and also to the owner of NairaLand of course. May the Almighty God continually bless and increase all of you for impacting people's lives daily. Thank You Very Much! I also met a wonderful friend here on Nl, he has been a blessing to me as well. In other words, Nairaland is not totally useless like many think, it is what u make of it at the end of the day, Stay Focused and Positive!
You might be wondering why i am writing this and talking plenty but that's because you don't know how it feels to be jobless and you dont know what it means to be favoured out of many. Just like the story of the 10 lepers, i have come to say Thank You to this FORUM! For those who are still hoping to get employed someday, just hold on, you will share your testimony too. Continue applying and make sure you are doing it right, God's Grace will see you through some day. Dont Give Up, God is not done yet! it wasn't easy for me, there were days where i cried, some days i gave up, some days i felt depressed but i never lost faith and confidence in God. Against All Odds, i believed in myself and i believed in God.
Don't be idle if you don't have a job yet, get or learn a skill like tailoring, shoemaking etc and still be applying for jobs because one thing is to learn a skill and the other thing is to fund your business but just get a skill on standby and God will see you through.
Thank You Nairaland and Nairalanders!!!!!!!!! How are you able to see vacancies, because I am having hard time seeing legit vacancy. Any advice will be appreciated |

mylove4God: Congrats OP. This is indeed a good news. I can relate to what you went through while looking for job because I have been the same.
There are good people here who are willing to help. I got a job now was because a nairalander who I never knew encouraged me to be active on LinkedIn, through which I got my present job. God will keep blessing him and those of his kind.
I pray those seeking for job or looking for funds to start their businesses will have their breakthrough this year. Amen please, how do you guys get to see the vacancy? I am a final year student and I am finding it hard to see this vacancy |

Family › Re: What Should I Do Now??? by Fabuloski(m): 10:34pm On Dec 08, 2018 |
ImaIma1: Dude should have waited for his brother to come back rather than retaliating. At that point, the wife would have had a lot to answer to and apologize. In fact they could call family meeting on her head.
But he took matters in his hands and a made things complicated. First, there are other ways to drive home your point as a man rather than hitting a woman even if she struck first. Hitting your older brother's wife, is extreme You are uprightly advocating for female to abuse male and frown on male retaliating? The lady should have been wise enough to keep her hands to herself. I have a nephew, I am about 13years older, and no matter what he does I will never hit him because I respect him. After all respect is reciprocal. Like I said any lady that hits a guy is a thug and you are entitled to defend yourself. The husband should make them apologise to each other and share the chores between them. The age difference is even 5years and she slapping him as if she gave birth to him. |
Family › Re: What Should I Do Now??? by Fabuloski(m): 9:58pm On Dec 08, 2018 |
ImaIma1: The Op should know that his brother cannot live in that house again. After all it is supposed to be for the husband and wife.
That is why counselors advise that family should not live with a couple especially in their early years of marriage. It is to avoid insults and complications like this.
Op do the needful. You know what to do but you are stalling. The wife slapped the brother, why are you guys missing that?. She disrespected him by slapping him for refusing to fetch water. A lady that hits a man or anybody is not a lady but a thug. They should both apologise to each other and the brother should oversee chores sharing between them since the brother is also working. It will be understandable if the dude is tired and don't want to fetch water. |

OfficialAPCNig: Sorry, we are not just hiring skills.
In fact, skills make up just 60% of what we are looking for.
We look at character and one way to approximate the type of person you are (serious or unserious, professional or unprofessional) without meeting you is by looking at your email.
Don't forget we ain't begging you. There are others that would gladly take your place.
If you think you have skills, there are much more people better than you.
We don't just need your skills, we need a total human being. Sir, I am an undergraduate and I really love your lecture here. I will appreciate it if you can be my mentor sir. |

Romance › Cream For Dark Skin... Please Your Suggestion Is Needed by Fabuloski(op): 8:15pm On Jun 25, 2018 |
I am dark in complexion, not very dark it is more like what people call chocolate complexion. I have been trying over this years to get a perfect cream that will make the skin to be smooth and more radiant but it is either the cream makes me lighter or darker ( this one is the worst, because I will end up looking terrible). I have tried cocoa butter, jergen, carowhite among others. I don't know what to use again, guys abeg suggest any cream you feel will be better. Lest I forget, please don't suggest Shea butter... that thing just hates me personally. |
