I think the coach prefers 3-5-2/4-4-2 cos our strength lies in our wing backs and attack. Iwobi can dictate from deep with Aribo/Onyeka beside him

Ekong saved us on two occasions in the Ecuador match.
Particularly that cross they left to fly in from the right flank. He kicked it out for a corner

I’m aware there’s some positives in not going to the World Cup.
Looking at the groups the embarrassment some African countries would receive though

Ghana would have to beat Korea by a large margin and try to squeeze a draw from CR7 & Jota’s Portugal to stand a chance. They’d definitely lose to Uruguay
Uruguay just gave Mexico 3 nil
Only Senegal stands a chance.
Which Senegal? Senegal that scored just one goal in the AFCON group stage. Be deceiving yourself!

Watching Simon also gives me fears over Chukwueze

They both are easy to figure out
With a good LB like Bassey he doesn't need to hug the ball to the line just give a simple pass to Bassey and move to the box to add more body to our attack. Simple!

I really enjoyed this game especially the second half. Just visualizing how it would look like with kėlė, chucks, oshimen, ndidi, etc
I like the way we move the ball and Iwobi playing the anchor man makes the passing smooth. A good DM would have helped tonight. We missed some very good chances!

Agreed except Awaziem!
labas370:
Last time I said that all the npfl players are below average but some didn't agree.

At that striking department, moffi is minus 1, that player 3 is minus 1. Awaziem...

Never seen Awaziem play this terribly.

What an embarrassing goal to concede.

Could have had a penalty and the strikers could have converted any of those chances.

Was I the only one having problem with the Facebook streaming link? Thing just stopped.
He is doing 3 man's job. Covering the DM position on the right and Covering for that number 3 guy! We are playing with 10 men cos that number 3 guy is nonexistent!

This test is good for our players mentality! We had a very good last 10 minutes. The slow start is understandable. I like that Iwobi role, we just need Ndidi or Onyeka to support him!
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 2:32am On Jun 03, 2022
Iwobi Baller! The officiating is shameful! Moffi and Sanni out. Mboama/Aina and Dennis in!

Bluelf can be annoying but which one is that they will buy his generation

Not everyone is poor ,just take note
Let him calculate the amount of money his generation has made over the years and I can assure you it's not up to a week salaries of those boys he calls carpenter. That's the truth whether you like it or not!

The number 17 guy with more game time will be a menace! Good job coach Pesaro! Great job Super Eagles! Having traveled such hours and still give us this performance is a great thing to see! This team is meant for greatness! The only way is up from here. Desser cemented his place as the 2nd number 9!

forgiveness:
Despite all these, dem no invite Awoniyi to replace them, rather they went for Terem Mofi who scored only 8 goals in all seasons ahead of him.

I don't know the si unit used to invite players to the national team.
Maybe Awo is not available too. I know Westham and Newcastle are also looking at the possibility of signing him!

Okoye is injured, and Uzoho needs a break. Oshimen and Dennis discussing a transfer to Arsenal and West ham respectively. Sadiq has a very important game on Sunday. They all deserve to be excuse from the game!

Aside osimhen and maybe ndidi ...everyoda person on super eagles list is not indispensable...d next coach coming if he is wise ,would make d team very unpredictable and competitive... Dt Ghana game shld be a lesson
That game should not be a criteria to judge the team. It wasn't that Ghana defeated us we drew both leg. The fact still remains Onyeka and Bonke are Integra part of the team. As long as they are fit, they will make the list! Simple!

That was my afterthought. If we just want to see what these guys can do, that's okay. Not the best, but alright.

Nevertheless, I still believe these NPFL guys need to prove a point on the continent first. No animosity, I don't do all those home based, foreign based apartheid BS but the question on their collective quality remains as we can't see any CAF brilliance. Looks like it gets worse season by season.
You are right. None of them will get into the squad to play the qualifiers anyways It's just a way to grant them exposure!
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 1:16am On May 11, 2022
This is just a friendly game. Not all the players will be available. I don't understand the bitterness.

All those home based, Azubukwe, Shehu even Musa will be dropped later.

Oshimen, Kelechi, Ndidi, Onyeka and Bonke are Integra member of the team.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 4:25am On May 10, 2022
Oshimen is United top priority! 94 million Euros!

I think the game against Leicester City where he scored those 2 fantastic goals is making United consider him a better option than Nunez!

You are absolutely correct, my brother! I thought M7even post was towards me. However, I read the post again, and as JohnBullMySon had argued, I was wrong to say he is on drugs. There was nothing absurd in M7even post to warrant such clap back. I am sorry! Peace!

Bro...you didn't ask any question to start with. Fabyom's response was more like misinterpretation. Your response was a diss to lelion but fabyom probably thought you were referring to him. This shouldn't cause a quarrel please...you both probably misunderstood yourself. Let's relate with respect and regard please.

@lelion keeps defending their age, can you objectively say that they look rightly under 20. I saw the picture of the goalkeeper he posted too and I had some reservations in my mind. Do you think these guys are not one of those looking for a way to Cyprus, Malta , Belarus etc.
Which theory informs you that you can judge peeps through their age? Where in my post did I defend their age. You must be on drugs!
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom:
Those under 20 guys were well drilled! Pace and ball control is 98%. Marking 100% (Played their lungs out for their career and nation). Passing and decision making in the final third is around 90%. If Ladan can get that together, they will be highly formidable. I was surprised at how well they played!

SS3 student cheesy cheesy where's that guy that love defending age cheats
Under 20 not under 17. Many under 20 are in the University. Some 19 year olds are even in 200/300 levels. Stop with all these age cheat crap. As someone who was involved in sports at secondary school levels in Nigeria. I have seen several secondary schools students who look older than me. Struggles and training can make someone look old.

If you know Oshimen personally tell him to sit up and learn.
He should stop all these silly memes and concentrate on his football.
He still has a long way to go.
Trying to be a guy man by disrespecting former players will not help his career.

If Pinnick leaves I would want this man to assume that position! This is how to speak as a leader not like the touts Pinnick and Paul Bassey.
