Stop having delusions of grandeur. If we meet Mali with our full team right now, I doubt if we can come out with a draw. We don’t even have up to five players in UCL, teams like Morocco, Senegal and co. with actual world class players are not even making mouth like this.

The good thing we have is decent squad depth, and hat is mostly in attack. Midfield is lean, defense has plenty names but mostly poor players really. The only promising players in defense are Zaidu, Awaziem, and possibly Zainab/Bassey. The rest have reached their ceilings.

Sarr is good. Diatta too. Senegal have young strikers too, Habib Diallo was dragging highest goalscorer with Osimhen in Ligue 1 and he's young too. Boulaye Dia is doing it with Villarreal this season. Niang and Diagne are also decent back ups.

Where Senegal really edges us though is in defense. You have K2 who is a world class CB, along with Abdou Diallo competing in a star studded PSG side. Bouna Sarr is at Bayern, Kouyate is at Crystal Palace. Ballo-Toure who is one of the best young fullbacks in Serie A currently at RB. You then have the best goalkeeper in the world currently in goal. Complete backline.

My only problem with Senegal is their coach. The guy is disciplined, passionate etc, but he isn't tactically sound. It has been exposed multiple times, today for example. He is basically a younger version of Rohr tactically. If Senegal can get themselves a coach on the level of Belmadi tactically, they will enter top 10 globally in no time because the talents are there.

They edge us at CB and Gking. Not at RB, LB, Midfield or attack! Simple!

The Senegalese attack without Mane is toothless. They rely heavily on him! Morocco and Algeria are the only teams that scare me.

France sees those colonized territories as part of itself (Assimilation), that's why they have a large pool of foreign-born to call on.
Also, the french league relies mostly on homegrown talent thus you have these players from Mali, Senegal, Ivory coast springing up every now and then in clubs like Metz, Reims, Brest, etc.
These players are able to develop and move to better leagues like England, Italy, and Spain

Unlike the English who sees their colonized territory as an independent nation.
The English league is one of the highest paying in the world, therefore most teams are able to buy professional players rather than allow homegrown talent to develop. The English, unlike France, lack a large pool of players to select from for the National team.

From my perspective, I do think we have done very well in getting our foreign-born to play for us if you look at the entire pool of those playing at the highest level.
If Southgate did not invite both Tomori and Abraham when he did, they would have played for us.
Also, Eze was willing to play for us but he was too young to get an invite then. He attended the SE invitational tournament in England before the 2014 world cup, I think. He changed his mind cos the former Crystal Palace coach assured him of an England call-up, and Southgate did invite him for the Euros if not for his injury.
If France gives those Senegalese guys an invite today do you think they will reject it? I think we have done well.

Most of those guys were born in France. It's like having Tomori, Abraham, Eze, and Oliseh play for us! Nevertheless, nothing spectacular about those players.
Mata Sarr is not even as good as Ejuke or Kalu! I have watched his games for Senegal, he is average.
No matter what you say about Simon none of those guys can lace his shoes in France.
We have our own young strikers too; Sadiq, Odey, Ugbo, Desser, Lookman, Henty etc.
We have our own young midfielders too; Olawale, Yusuf, Onyedika, Ejaria etc.
