Oga Kog, 2005 u-20 final against same Argentina, the referee and Messi cheated us (2 fluke penalties).
That is the reason I dislike Messi till today. Dived to win two fortuitous penalties against us while Obasi/Ogbuke scored one of the most incredible goals in footy.
Most of those players played for both sides in that Olympic final, so Argentina was not that superior to us.
Even Messi was anonymous in that game, the pass to Di maria was his major highlight! Had it been Sia1 was not sentimental, we could have won.
Also, as a SE coach, he kept inviting that useless Okoronkwo not until the media started raising eyebrows.

Also, he made us lose the 2008 Olympic final by starting his boy Isaac Promise ahead of Anichebe against Argentina. The former went on to miss an open goal!
However, I might agree that we give Amunike a chance but my fear is that he might not have the balls to drop his boys if they underperform as Rohr did to Kelechi. I don't see any special stuff Rohr is doing to warrant $30k per month!

You know some of the reasons why the team struggled in some of the matches, I am not in the position to tell you what you know/glaring to the eyes.
The most important is that the team was able to overcome those challenges and are still topping the group.
As I said, I don't see any African team posing a threat to our world cup qualifications.
My sight is not on minnows like Liberia and Cape Verde!

Oga, against the smaller teams you mentioned, how did Aribo performed? How many chances did he created? How many goals? Remember that it was Iwobi that scored the only goal that confirmed our 2018 WC ticket, he scored against Cameroon during AFCON, what about his goal against Argentina during that friendly? Ghana did not come with most of their players especially the foreign contingent and the Captain too didn't come. I think there are issues between the first team players and the federation. Nevertheless, they gave South Africa a good game. S.A goals came from kick to Kgastlena and Isha Allah.
