On a serious note though I don't have anything against Iwobi. He's even one player I have strong bias for. But looking at their form at least at club levels, I'd take Aribo over Iwobi as a starter.
Rohr was just a confused man who got all the players tangled up in his chaotic tactics. So let's see how the players will requit themselves if Eguavoen gets it right tactically because you have just like many others properly set out the right tactical approach we should adopt.

Iwobi's best game for Nigeria has been him playing the number 10 role: The goal that took us to the world cup against Zambia.
Scored away to Lesotho. Against sierra leone, Iwobi scored two magnificent goals, but things fell apart when Rohr moved him to the left!

Iwobi categorically said he prefers the number 10 role in a 4-3-3, but Rohr continues to use Iheanacho in that role.
When Rohr changed to 3-5-2, all the players were confused! Iwobi and Aribo don't know what to do.

The mistake Rohr made was trying to accommodate Nacho, Iwobi, and Aribo.
Playing Iwobi on the left side in a 4-3-3 unbalanced the team because he doesn't stay there; he always moves to the 10 or 8 roles leaving Collins to run the whole length of the wings for 90 minutes.

Iwobi has never been atrocious as a ten, so please let the boy breath.

Aribo scored against Ukraine and Brazil because we had Chukweze and Kalu/Simon ran at them from the wings, thereby opening up the midfield. Pep even prefers wingers (dribblers) to strikers.

That is like Khaldoon Al Mubarak, chairman of Manchester City picking a coach for the club. We have Txiki Begiristain, who is the technical director of Manchester City. His job is to work on the road map of the club. The philosophy behind the club's playing style and recruitment. Al Mubarak appointing a coach can clash with the philosophy of the Technical director.

So Pinnick cannot start traveling and asking Arsene Wenger or Mourinho for who to appoint. It is just like Ajax chairperson selecting a coach over Overmars.

The NFF has a technical committee and they are the ones to recommend the coach to the NFF chairman under the endorsement of the Technical Director.

Not Pinnick picking coach. That is a very wrong working step.

Why do you always compare country to clubs? Who selected Ghana's coach? The technical director is the current coach and Pinnick seeking advice from reputable coaches is never a bad idea!!

There is a need for physical recovery, then mental and then he has to get match fit.

He would have been told to take it easy on those aggressive and sometimes reckless do or die challenges.

Equavoen appointment is reasonable. As a technical director, a former player and coach, he is qualified for the job. No Nigerian is more qualified going by CV.
