585m fraud: Tinubu’ll take final decision after investigations, say APC Govs
As APC professionals back president for sending strong signals to officials
Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have weighed in on the recent suspension of handlers of the nation’s social investment programmes, including the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, urging Nigerians to be patient as President Bola Tinubu would only take further actions based on the outcome of ongoing investigations.
This was as the APC Professionals Forum hailed the swiftness with which the president responded to the allegations of malfeasance against the suspended minister, saying the development has sent a strong signal to all federal appointees that the President means business with his Renewed Hope Agenda.
The governors, who on Wednesday night converged on Abuja to chart the way forward for the party in 2024, also expressed strong support for the Tinubu administration.
While the agenda of the meeting was not immediately made available to journalists, Vanguard reports that as of 11:25 p.m., the meeting was still ongoing at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge in the Asokoro district of the nation’s capital.
Some of those who attended the meeting were the host, Senator Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), and Uba Sani (Kaduna).
Others were Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), and AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, among others.
In a brief chat after the meeting, Uzodinma said the essence of the meeting was to review happenings in the country.
He said, “This is the first meeting since the beginning of this year, and the meeting allowed us to review the goings on in the country and also agreed on how best to continue to support our government and our party to maximise the benefits of the current policies of the administration.
“The Progressives Governors are united in supporting the APC-led administration of our president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We will continue to support him. We will take his policies to the grassroots and subnational leaders of our great party and ensure that our people come on the same page with the thinking of the government.”
He said the important objective of the administration is to secure the country and provide adequate welfare to Nigerians.
On the suspension of Dr Edu, the governors said, “The functions of a government include encouraging good things and good appointees and discouraging bad things and bad appointees. But as it has to do with what you just said, it’s just an allegation, and in the wisdom of the president, it is being investigated. After the investigation is completed and the report is made available, the government will make a final decision. So don’t be in a hurry, and don’t allow any sickness like ‘anxietyserosis.’
Ahead of the February bye-elections and rerun, the APC governors also expressed readiness.
“Our party is prepared to go into any election at any time,” said Uzodinma.
In a related development, the APC Professionals Forum has commended President Tinubu for his swift action in suspending his appointees whose actions in office have been found questionable in the course of discharging their duties.
“His decision has renewed the hope of the majority of Nigerians in the fight against corruption and malpractice in public offices,” said a former Governor of Bauchi State and the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Forum, Dr Isa Yuguda.
He said it is the considered opinion of the forum that the move further re-emphasised the importance President Tinubu has placed on integrity in the coming few months after he introduced Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for his appointees to ensure optimal performance.
“With this, we are quite optimistic that a strong signal has been sent to public officials to focus on democratic deliverables as promised in the Renewed Hope agenda and not to be distracted by frivolities that could embarrass the President Tinubu-led administration and our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“We are also glad that the President has acceded to our position on the cost of governance by slashing expenditure on all foreign and domestic trips by all officials of his administration, including himself.
“This is not only commendable but also a good way of leading by example. We look forward to more.
“We, however, urge the government to continuously recruit progressive-minded, loyal party members as well as thorough-bred professionals with high standards of ethics into other positions yet to be filled by the administration.”
Girls are brave... Even a strong man cannot enter a stranger's private car at night (sometimes without seeing his face because it is dark or red light), girls can do it over and over again.
hustler2828: As crude as it seems, if I should tow the path of suicide, I will go down with at least a prominent politician and most of his/her gullible followers. I can't die in vain. And as for you Op, this is the information age, don't take the easy way out SUICIDE. There are enormous opportunities on the Internet our problem most times is just impatient, not being focused on a money making goal, and getting easily discouraged.
I remember way back when even #1k was'nt in my account. I did what I called entitled begging online. This is how I did it
1)Search for any American within the age bracket of 20 - 35 on any social media platform. Reddit, FB, IG, etc
2) Do some Osint and background finding on such a person, to find either his phone number, email, address or any personal info
3)Politely beg the person and ask him to assist you with anything. Explain how petty and horrible your condition is. On a rare occasion If he/she gives you anything, thank him and move on, then rinse and repeat with another client.
If he doesn't give you anything or even replies you go to step 5
4)Start pestering he/she. By either using his phone number/email to create Google accounts, FB, IG, etc or request verification/reset codes using his number. I had a bot that keeps requesting verification codes from over 250 websites.
5)Doing all this you will keep begging him and let him know that you are responsible for all the never ending emails and spam messages, that you are very sorry, you had no choice.
Many of them will out of frustration give you $20, $50, or even $10. Then thank him, apologies for the stress you caused him, and never harass he/she again.
Then rinse and repeat with another client. When hungry they make me dream bad dream way back, na this thing make me no excrete my intestine out.
I don't know what is with Americans and that figure $20. An averagely famous American, if you email them, they would send it and feel good they are helping an African. There was a time I lost 300k at work and would have been fired, I raised it without working but just begging YouTubers with 20 to 50k subscriber in their email (not comment section), some of them has been on Joe Rogan Podcast and somewhat famous.
We ware all big sinners in our previous lives so God send us back here to pay for our sins as Nigerians. Nigeria is not hell, it is purgatory. Anyway, don't worry, after a few days/weeks/months/years, you would find out you are equal to the task.
Fatbam005: One will be amazed if the true calculation is revealed at the end of the year. It's a strange world. The more reason it is very difficult to save for not too buoyant income earners.other emergencies not yet factored in. Omo you will be dazed
They must always be unplanned problem that need money.
About 10k to 12k on data, shared between 3 phones and 5 SIM cards (some are 300 naira a month for 1GB sub for emergency when one network fails, while one SIM is strictly for Night Plan of 100 naira for 1GB).
Electricity is about 20k to 30k a month since 2023 (100% no AC)... Before 2023, it was 10k to 15k a month with AC useage.
My food is 60k, my neighbor feed his gaint dog with 30k.
2elliot: Be very afraid of God. Likely this year, Israel will build their third temple because the materials are already set(including the red heifers), meaning the Antichrist is already here. God's word will surely come to pass.
No one is building any temple this year. There is already a Mosque on the site of the temple (they would have to demolish the Mosque without retaliation) and a Muslim burial site blocking the gate that the Messiah was prophecied to pass though.

It is cap. You tried to portray it as widespread, but neither you nor the commander can provide evidence of even one such person. Just one.
westlius: U very correct Companies look for workers with experience. So to get an experience u need get a job with a little pay. Before other companies can review ur cv
No one wants to train stuff. A trained staff is like a Nigerian Politician, they change party/organization as it benefits them.
I don't even give my boss application letters of anyone that has sit at home for 6 months and above. Not just experience but also prove of work-ethic.
