favourmic: Which way ogbeni I'm telling you for the last time please wake up Nigeria is sinking WAKE-UP
Nigeria is going through terrible economic hardship That am aware of..what I don't agree with is this copy and paste report by vanguard from a Ghanaian blog saying Ghana now export gas to Nigeria
Fake news, fake reports everywhere.. How can Ghana supply gas to Nigeria?? The same Ghana using our gas to power their power plants..the report should be Ghana plans to supply Nigeria and other west African nations gas in the future!! And some people are already blaming buhari and their ancestors Smh how many oyel Ghana get before they one supply person..the oil in takoradi dun do to supply the whole of Ghana ??
Govt should not negotiate with boko haram not on their terms There is more to these that meets the eye! Isis makes all barnawi leader of iswap Shekau refuses to acknowledge all barnawi as the new leader of the sect which results to conflicts between the two factions shekau's faction and al barnawi faction And then all of a sudden boko haram wants to release the girls Remember that the Nig govt, two consecutively times requested for the release of these girls and boko haram turned down their request. Boko haram has been weakened the are having serious internal conflict.(leadership tussle) The are using the chibok girls as tools to delay the Nigerian army in their onslaught against them..why will boko harm need his jailed fighters, all these years the have been in jail the govt propose a swap but the refuse Why do the suddenly need them??
Surfboard: They want to silence him because he's reporting against the official government narrative that Boko Haram has been defeated. However, he's doing his job as a journalist, reporting stuff about Boko Haram.
Number one rule in journalism is to protect your sources no matter what. If anything at all, he's someone the nigerian army could covertly work with to get information, but they've now blown their cover.
I pray Sadilka and his family survive this and he goes back to investigative journalism.
I was angry when I heard salkida was declared wanted..he has been tweeting about boko haram for about 4 years and any wise and professional intelligence agency should have been on his tail a very long time. Sadly the Nigerian army is just realizing how important salkida is And making a public announcement of his arrest just blew there cover.. I don't think BH militants will be willing to share information with him anymore considering the way the Nig military is going with it. A well planed and structured covert operation would have done the magic He seems eager and ready to help The FG rescue this girls and end the BH menace The army just turned things upside down with this declaration
Have seen lots of related posts like this on NL but none as touched me as the case of this young man..I don't know this guy personally but I soo feel for his parents.. His dead now Oh lord have mercy.. A handsome young man with dreams and aspirations just cut short by death! I took d time to go through his page on fb he was so full of life living it to fullest enjoying the good things of life but now his gone..gone for eternity smh The Bible says..what shall it profit a man if HE GAINS the world BUT LOSES HIS SOUL!! May the lord have mercy on your soul Brien ibekwe
joborskill: See how kitted the Kenyan police is while Nigerian police wear dirty uniforms with rusty AK-47's despite our oil wealth. Shame
Kai people sef, people just read and believe everything this days even with the nation's flag clearly shown Oga na Uganda police be that not kenyan And BTW those are anti riot police.that's how the webbing is world wide..I bet the regular police don't look this cool
searay: Let them post the video. Have you not seen the Amnesty International video?
what Amnesty international video?? You talking of the allegations of 2014..the investigations has since been carried out and yes the people in the purported video were suspected islamists (extremist) unless you're talking about a new video
searay: Nigerian Soldiers killing poor and innocent Nigerians at will. This are poor traders if you ask me. Those killed are not Boko Haram.
How can you shoot and killed them and their legs just got broken?
How can you shoot and killed them and the motocycle the used in crossing the Sambisa forest is still standing?
How can you shoot them and all of a sudden their guns moved to their belly?
I believed the Nigerians Soldiers have killed more than Boko Haram in this fight.
My name is SEARAY and I just want to post the uncommon truth.
please be careful with what you post here, don't mislead people I bet you have no idea what bullets can do to the human body The report even states that two soldiers are injured and you still saying the are traders..I guess the traders injured the two soldiers #Be Guided
Reference: I think every part of Nigeria has its security challenges but it all depends an individuals threshold for violence and negativity because they take all shapes and intensity. If you are a hausa muslim living in the city of Kano you will regard the place as absolutely safe ut not if you are a christian missionary or evangelist. Similarly if you were a fulani herdsman, crossing the middlebelt is fraught with grave danger and when you eventually get south you have to be picky on where you can and cannot go.
If you are kind of person that forgets instantaneous pain and danger like a woman who gives birth then certainly places like Jos might appeal to you because they are generally tranquil for long periods but have these occasional explosions of violence and insecurity. Some with short memory can live with that. On the other hand places like Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Abia, etc may not have the danger of communal or religious or sectarian violence but have the elevated danger of crime which suits some but other cannot live with.
It has to do with ones personality. Some fear short sharp pain while others abhor a throbbing, numbing headache. I for one cannot live in a place of constant insecurity no matter how mild that is, even if it is pickpocketing that has to keep me awake or at watch 24-7, that is why I find it difficult to stay in Lagos for instance but being a sort of risk taker I will rather live by a volcano knowing it won't erupt everyday and I might just have traveĺed out the day it actually does. I will chose Jos over most cities anyday, but like I said the lack of a virile economy on the eastern flank of Nigeria is a big let down....but hey if the economy becomes like that of Lagos, surely the hassle will be too.
you've said it all..it annoys me though when I see people painting other regions bad..eery region has its own problem Just as you said it all boils down to ones personality BTW are you a psychologist ?
When ever jos or Kaduna is talked about here on Nl,i begin to see comments like 'I hope the violence there has ended' seriously people?? This comments I see here are the emanating from Nigerians?? Same Nigerians who live in Lagos pH and onitsha Is there a place in Nigeria that does not experience violence of some sort..all the kidnappings, cult rivalry, armed robbery attacks.NDA and IPOB all these doesn't contribute to violence abi?? As a Nigerian you have no right to call another region more violent than yours cause we all live in this sh:thole of a nation whether Ibadan or Benin every place has its downside..some are just relatively peaceful.. Communal violence nko?? Abeg make I just rest here! I Rep j-city tho
To those of you who wait day and night for news like this to come on Nl to make mockery of the dead with your no sense analysis I pray you receive sense Especially those of you who come to ask "which boko haram" may you, your family and close relatives never fall victim of boko haram attack so you don't come here to ask which boko haram....Amen
Going through comments and I begin to wonder if the problem of these country is our leaders or our so called leaders of tomorrow who have no sense!,no wonder the old keep ruling us,some youths of this generation need a brain transplant For those calling this a video game or android display You should try staying under a F-7Ni jet when it hovers over your roof Bunch of nitwits
see him frowning his face as if he's not guilty his part of those who have made the fight against Bh impossible to win..stealing money meant to buy arms
Themandator: I don't think you mentioned me asking for Vietnam figure or anything... You got me mixed up with someone else.
As for gorilla war, no nation has been able to engage with a ragtag army and come out with their original objective, achieved.
Gorillatactics doesn't involve large army or battalion on the side of the opponent. For instance, what is happening in the delta... While Nigeria has deployed heavy and light weapons, the nda simply carries dynamite to locations far from the concentration point of the army and rupture pipelines whereas for every single at, the government incurs all manners of cost like allowances, fuelling etc
At the end they round up some hooligans in frustration and declare them the enemy.
that's war for you shit happens When the Germans invaded Belgium in ww1 thier original palm was to be home in 2weeks time,we all know how that ended up. So what am I saying.. Not just guerilla warfare, but war in general ur general objective is hardly achieved That's why soldiers are trained not just to fight but to know how to maneuver such mistakes in warfare. In war guerilla or conventional if ur enemy is deploying 5 five you deploy 20 if his using dynamites you use artillery fire..who knows guerilla warfare more than Hamas of Gaza..tell me so far if they've been able to defeat isreal with all their way and tactics They take more time planing and preparing for a perfect time to strike but at the end who emerges victorious after every battle??
Ogbeche77: I don't see any improvement bro.. Even ill trained Iraqi army are better equipped.. Watch "Battle of Fallujah" on YouTube
battle of Fallujah u.s forces were combating alqaeda not I'll trained Iraqi soldiers.. You can't compare Nigeria to u s in terms of equipment and gears Do you know how much Americans budget for their defence annually ??
dimieprincess: Who is Bakasi Freedom Fighters? abeg pack well, where were they when Bakasi was ceded to Cameroon? Those guys are toy being sponsored by APC
where were the avengers when bakasi was ceded to Cameroon? Is their fight all about resource control
MasterofNL: This is more than pipeline contracts bro.
True federalism/regionalism is the way to go.
Resource control is the way to go.
that is what you want or think but not what the want, even if Nigeria practiced true federalism the will still not be satisfied what the want is full pipeline contracts and enough money that's all the want
