PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Falls Out With Obiano by fairheven: 7:24am On Jul 29, 2014
FreeGlobe: Obiano has good intentions for the state unlike obi so it's not unexpected that light and darkness cannot mix. All the peter obi attack dogs... get set... go.... cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
For ur mind! cheesy Obi has already refused to join PDP,that was why he was not made the minister of aviation.and I think JONATHAN IS PLAYIN POLITICS OF DESPERATION;imagine Peter obi supported and mobilsed APGA members to vote for JONA in the presidential election, withou him convertin TO PDP,so why is the president forcing him to dump APGA?thank god obi has conscience so he won't descend so low.

noblezone: We don't have a weak leader!
Rather we a falsehood for nationhood!
"falsehood for nationhood" meanin we are not suppose to be a nation, then why can't we devide?if JONA can not call the millitary to order,do u call that a strong leader?if billions budgeted for deffence is not acvountd for,is that strong leadership?why shud he seek for loan wen previous allocation has not been judiciously utilised, strong leader?why do we have an army is reacting to bomb attacks instead os been proactive?strong leader?
PoliticsRe: Bakare Wants FG To Apologise To Boko Haram Over Killing Of Leader by fairheven: 4:32pm On Jul 28, 2014
EMANY01: You asked a question, well I will answerer in the typical Nigerian manner,I'll ask and or two questions right back:

Who has been responsible for decades of killings of those core northerners describe as "nyamiri" or in other name "arrne", who and what do they claim they do it for?

Who do BokoHaram claim they represent? who are their primary targets statistically ?

I honestly don't expect you to answer but that's ok you are who you are I am who I am lets just agree to disagree,if you insist on having the last word ,that's ok as well.
Nigeria's security troubles of the religious sort did not start today it won't end tomorrow.

"As dangerous as Osama bin laden was,do know that the US army tried to take him alive without killing him, that wud have giving them more evidence on al quida"

At no time did the US military try to take bin laden alive as you say.You don't fire scores of cruise missiles against a target or drop two thousand pound precision bombs at a targets location because you want him alive but if that's the way you feel that ok also.
precision bomb? Operation that was carried out without the knowledge of Pakistani millitary base that was located a few metres from the scene,so how come they did not hear the bomb?they only got to know after the US special forces had left.
PoliticsRe: The Last Christians In Iraq! A Warning To Nigerian by fairheven: 4:14pm On Jul 28, 2014
noblezone: Bros, come back home to Nigeria!

What do we do to stop the onslaught of these merchants of death?
Unfortunately,we have a weak leader in JONATHAN.I don't like obasanjo or Abacha either, but wt is happening now can never happen in their tenure.ee have amilltary that is lacking motivation, billion are budgeted for defence every year, more than anyother sector of the economy, yet our solgdiers keep crying of poor welfare,an yet the Jona wants to get 1billion dollars lone.hi is afraid of coup,so he lacks the will to ask how the money is been spent.
PoliticsRe: What Happened To The Nigerian Army . by fairheven: 3:42pm On Jul 28, 2014
igbo2011: Where was the Nigerian army during the Conflicti n the COngo or Ivory Coast?

Even Mali or Central African Republic?
Do u know the meaning political interest?
Those countries u mentioned are French colonies, therefore Nigeria will only go there to enforce peace an not likely to lead a combat force like in Liberian an Sierra loen.France has a huge interest in those nations,so whu ever that gets involved, does so on complementary basis not on leadership basis.
PoliticsRe: Bakare Wants FG To Apologise To Boko Haram Over Killing Of Leader by fairheven:
EMANY01: "Innocent Nigerians" were dying all over the north long long before then.....ohh silly me I just got your meaning:
Innocent Nigerians: Nigerians who are not Christian,do not come from the south, and lastly (BUT MOST IMPORTANT) can trace their ancestry to one of the "Banza Bakwai".
I forgot my place for a while there sire it won't happen again I promise.
No need to talk about why the "accused" person(s) were sought after and arrested in the first place....i wouldn't dare to aggravate you sire.
Check again, was boko haram responsible for those that were dying before then?am not in anyway condoning wt they are doing but let solve the matter from ghe root.their leader was striped naked and shut by a police man without been tried, how do u gather evidence in that manner?
As dangerous as Osama bin laden was,do know that the US army tried to take him alive without killing him,was only killed wen he became violent ,that wud have giving them more evidence on al quida.
PoliticsRe: The Last Christians In Iraq! A Warning To Nigerian by fairheven: 2:47pm On Jul 28, 2014
I blame the Americans for all this, first they overthrow Saddam Hussain,in the name of fighting terror, thereby making Iran more powerful;because wen Saddam was in power ,Iran was far subdued(Saddam was like a bull-dog) against Iran.
Secondly, under Saddam,Iraqi christians were far better of,now they the are been hounded down an slaughtered.
The same scenario is playing out in countries that US had overthrown Or tryin to romove their leader like Iraq,Libya and currently Syria, even afghanistan,am not saying that this leaders are good but somehow, they are "neccessarily evil"
PoliticsRe: Bakare Wants FG To Apologise To Boko Haram Over Killing Of Leader by fairheven: 2:18pm On Jul 28, 2014
jking001: confused and divisive pastor,I remember he was the one that started insulting of the president and others followed calling his president a drunk fisherman and the wife been possed of jezebel spirit .
Wt are u talkin about?the killing of their leader by an irresponsible policeman marked the beginning of terror attacks on innocent nigerians.our problem is that we don't always look at the root of a problem.we have a culture of police brutality and impunity;why kill an "accused"person in cold-blooded murder wen he has not been proofing guilty?

tandj: Gospel musicians don't make it like those in secular music especially in this part of d world.

I don't know why honestly considering that we have churches everywhere.
Its so saddening.
The answer Is quite simple, how many times do hear gospel songs been played on the radio, apart from on Sundays-even at that ,is only on sunday morning, after that,is back to secular music.we have DJs wu called themselves Christians, but will never play gospel music.

WAS BUHARI USING BULLET PROOF CARS BEFORE.

If no, can we conclude that we will start witnessing the assasination by bombs of Northerners loyal to GEJ.

Politicians can do desperate things.

ojeffo: ALL THE EXAMPLES U MENTIONED ARE WAR SITUATION...THIS IS A CASE OF TERRORISTS THAT OPERATE A KIND OF GUERILLA WARFARE...IF U ENGAGE THEM LIKE U SAID, THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE WILL BE ENOUGH TO SEND OUR PRESIDENT TO THE HAGUE.
THAT SAID, I WONT FAIL TO MENTION CORRUPTION TOO. COS THE WEAPON THEY USED IN FIGHTING THE LIBERIAN CIVIL WAR SINCE GOD KNOWS WHEN IS WHAT THEY ARE STILL USING. NO SINGLE UPGRADE IN MILITARY HARDWARE... THEIR ARMOURY IS SOO OBSOLETE AND CRYING FOR UPGRADE. THEY ARE KIND OF USING MARTIAL ARTS TO COMBAT AN ENEMY WHO USING A 21ST CENTURY MILITARY GRADE AMMUNITIONS..THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR MILITARY ..THANK U ..IM OUTTA HERE
Both the army and the president had repeatedly said that we are not just fighting terrorists but we are fighting war,so yr argument is not tenable.either way u are fighting an enemy,if u don't destroy him ,he will destroy u.

PoliticsRe: 8 African Presidents Who Wants To Die On Their Seats! by fairheven:
Hade4larin: The continent of Africa is consistently known for its negativity, the leadership situation of the continent is no difference from the torrent of challenges militating against it. In the West, leaders are elected for a term of office and after the expiration, he simply pack his bags and go.
But there are Leaders in Africa that disagrees with such mantra.
Why would a leader rather want to die in office than leave honorably even in midst of clamor for them to call it a day. I thought Mandela exited after just one term?
Let’s take a peep in the category of leaders that see Mandela as alien. They are in descending order.

8. IDRISS DEBY OF CHAD
The Chadian leader who assumed office in 1990 after he took power through a rebellion against Hussene Habre and has since survived several rebellions of his own. With the people of Chad crying fowls, it seems the President have other ideas. After winning elections, in 2003 he abolished term limit to perpetuate himself in office.

7. ABDULAZEEZ BOUTELFLIKA OF
ALGERIA
How can a president whom had experienced several heart attacks still want to remain in office? He even campaigned and won the 2014 Presidential election and was sworn in on wheel chair. Before the election, he was not seen in public for 3years. This 77years leader with the antecedents regarding his health would definitely die in office. He reportedly had stroke just few weeks ago. In 2012, he surpassed Houari Bounmedienne as Algerian longest serving president.

6. JOSE EDUARDO DOS SANTOS OF ANGOLA
This 71-year-old came into the Angolan
Presidency in 1979 and since, he has been basking in the euphoria of office. With 35 years in power, the question is, what else does this man want in the presidency? It is rumored that he is grooming his son to succeed him in as President. Since 1979, he has worked with 8 Prime Ministers including one of his Sons. Elections in Angola are always at the beck and call of President Dos Santos.

5. BLAISE COMPAORE OF BURKINA FASO
This Burkinabe politician who upstaged his best friend and former head of state, Thomas Sankara through the barrel of the gun in 1987. Since then he has manipulated his way to remain office. After having been in office for 27 years, one begin to wonder what else does he have up his sleeve to give to the teeming Burkinabes clamoring for development. With Burkina Faso constantl y being ranked as one of the poorest Nations in the world, one would s uggest for the exit of Mr Compaore.

4. PAUL BIYA OF CAMEROUN
Many would not be surprised that President Biya is still in office after assuming seat of power in 1982. He is known to be undemocratic. Biya has presided over 7 Prime Ministers during his reign as President. Paul Biya introduced political reforms within the context of a single-party system in the 1980s and he since consolidated power. He has won more than 6 terms as President. Can you beat that?

3. OMAR AL BASHIR OF SUDAN
This 70-year-old Sudanese politician came on board in 1989, and he had since remained in office amid general outcry for in him to stand down. In 2008, he was issued an arrest warrant by the International criminal court for crime against humanity, genocide and war crimes. Bashir, alongside his counterpart in South Sudan were engulfed in bitter struggle until the emergence of South Sudan in 2011. Though the West awaits his extradition for trial, this erstwhile Soldier surely has other plans up his sleeves.

2. YOWERI MUSEVENI OF UGANDA
This Ugandan former war-lord has been in office for as 28 years having taking the seat of power in 1986. He has worked with 4 vice presidents and 5 Prime ministers. The 64-year- old leader said he does not care about democracy. He is one of those leaders known to manipulating the constitution in other to remain in office. The opposition in Uganda is constantly hounded for spe aking against the regime of
Museveni. How long will he stay in office?

1. ROBERT MUGABE OF ZIMBABWE
Yes, this is the master of all the sit tight leaders
in Africa. The 90-year-old leader is the only
President the people of Zimbabwe have known
because he came in after Zimbabwe’s
independence in 1980. With Zimbabwe’s
economy in turmoil and the currency valueless,
th e people of Zimbabwe deserved a better
leader. Even with the Western world abolishing
aids and grants to persuade Mugabe to leave
office, the old man is maintaining the status quo.
He perceives the West as Imperialists. The
people of Zimbabwe must wake up or else doom
days are here. Nonagenarian as president?
Did I hear "God forbid"?
More than 80% of African leaders wud gladly die in power.so this ur list na small tin.som1 rightly commented a few years back. that "in Africa u don't have leaders and followers, but wt u have are RULERS AND SUBJECTS" the guy in Eritria is actually the worst depot.
