Wale112: Typical Nigerian mentalityTypical ghanian mentality, why can't u ejoy your little breakthroughout while it last, must u drag naija into it?u buzzy laughing like a he-goat? |

uzoexcel: and GDP is the only way to measure a nation's development?if south africa had d oil naija had, who would see 'her' back? why not compare naija with saudi, qatar venezuela etcAnd does nigerian have the gold that south Africa has?wtare u talkin about? They are the second largest gold producer in the world, while we are seventh largest "OPEC" producer member(that means outside OPEC,IT IS LESS)so wu shu do a better job coupled with their white man expertise? |
We r more catholic than pope, more Islamic than Mohammed...we shud spend our energy on science and technology that will build our country,Oyibo that brought religion to us ,don't they know how to recite? |
Apatheist: Numbers do not win wars. And Russia did not not support Egypt and the Arab nations? |
Soknown: Language could be defined as a means of communication between a group of people but it goes more than that, it is an integral part of a culture, In fact take away original language from a set of people and they forget who they are. BBC may have their facts through research (unfortunately we don't research into such issues in this side of the globe) but I doubt if it can come true, pidgin may become more popular possibly refined but I bet it can't be regularized across borders. I once read a novel by Sierra-Leonean or Liberian(can't really remember), written in pidgin English and it was nice.Ur points do not deffend ur argument enof. Do u kn the millions of people dt communicate in pidgin English? So y can't it be regularise? Do know how many languages that have evolved in few decades that never existed bofor?language comes an goes an there's nothing one can do about it except to adapt. |
Soknown: Pidgin English uuhn. Back then we use to call it broken English because it is actually broken( English punctuated by jargons and local languages). It is gaining popularity because our society is becoming more urbanized and Lazy ( bearing in mind that there is a basic human instinct to take the shorter route.) it is a failed acculturation and enculturation. Example two cultures meet suddenly and instead on assimilating the other, the two found a cheap albeit unstructured means of communication. Who is the loser , the society. That is why we fail to grab the full essence/usage of the English language and essence and richness of our local languages, hence some are going extinct.Society becoming more urbanised yes, lazy? Not so,language is just a means of communication, the easier the better, pidgin English is not necessarily inferior to the English language.there are countries wu have pidgin English as official language. Infact there was a research carried out by the BBC,which said that in 10/15 years period, pidgin English wud become an official language in most west afrcan countries. |
I sure can speak my language fairly well, but only regret is my inability to speak my dialect fluently;my grandmother is so fond of me,and to communicate with her,it has to be in my dialect which is not an easy tin for me. My uncle also made me know the importance of knowin ur. Root and culture;imagine if I want go for an electioneering campaign in my village, will I start speakin grammar to them?na u go carry last |
Ebonyi people! THE MOST HONEST AND HUMBLE PEOPLE I EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! I had an ebonyi friend,my only regret is That I never propose to her wen I shud have,I tot she was friend-zoning,wen I finally I did,it was a hot slap and cries from her;"I HAVE BEEN WAITIN FOR U ALL THIS YEARs TO BE A MAN AN PROPOSE,BUT U WERE CHICKEN-HEARTED,U CUD NOT,SOM1 ELSE WHO IS MAN ENOF HAS DONE THAT"-she said.those were like a piercing arrow to my heart!she is still my best friend, that is my consolation ![]() The lessons:if u lve somebody, walk up to her/him an tel am u love am-afrcan China. ![]() |
Omexonomy: Thanks my people for making us proud whether in good deeds or bad deeds thank you Yoruba people making us ashame since 1959Wt has his tribal lineage got to do with character?why are we fund of tribal sentiment?was it not martin Luther(a Blackman)who said that peopl shud be judge based on the content of their character not on the Color of their skin"?so y do we keep spewing tribal trash?the police authority that detained him did not do so based on his ethnic or tribal reason, but purely on his personal conduct. |
peleson: Rubbish! What did she achieve as former minister of education? One single university u did not establish for 8yrs while Atiku was busy building d most expensive private university in adamawa n obj bells university in ogun.. all the money budgeted stolen to private pockets n u r here shouting... jobless woman. Can we ever leave sentiment aside? 1.Oby was on the verge of solving the lingering ASUU problems permanently before she left office;it was base on the agreement she signed with ASUU,which Jonathan's administration failed to implement that led to the last ASUU strike. 2.She was the arrow-head of due process, which has saved Nigeria Billions of dollars in contract scam. 3 If she didn't do anythin wud she had gone for the post of world bank vice-president for Africa?u check her record befor u call her names |
Oduduwaboy: GEJs Ph.d is fake unlike Oby's own which is genuine. The difference shows in their abilities to logically hold discussions.Seriously,ZUMA? THAT GUY WJILL FALL FOR ANYTHING IN SKIRT? |
okparaugo: On this forum, I see a new breed of sensless children who at every point look out for who to quote and what comes of their mouths is, "Fool". It takes a fool to know one.My brother it amazes me how youths of our days find it hard to express their views without resulting to insults and vulgarity, the likes of Socrates and Aristotle were able to build verile democratic tenets for the Greek society through healthy and constructive debates and argument.the reason I was totally disappointed wen I heard, the national assembly is against compulsory presidential debates;just imagine wt wud have become of OBAMA withouth an "American presidential debate"? |
okparaugo: APC playing politics of stu.pid.ity since 1914.Wt has Apc got to do wuth dis? Is oby a member of APC?even if she is;must we turn every issue to partisan-politics? |
Sincere9gerian: The security agencies are at the Airports to do their job. On a daily basis and even at moment, they'r screening people at the Airports, making sure documents are correct and that there is no breach of security. But it would appear that some Nigerians, simply because they'r either in APC or are part of the bring back our girls campaigners, are above the law. They are untouchables, who should neither be screened nor asked questions. If you do any of those, screaming headlines will appear in the media- Oby Ezekwesili arrested and detained at the Airport. If indeed the govt planned to arrest her for any reason, how come she was released few seconds after the news of her alleged arrest broke? So in other words, she was arrested, detained and released within seconds? How does it BENEFIT the govt to arrest, detain and release her, all within a few minutes? Nonsense! Why don't the security agents use the same power and strategy gto arrest the likes of Abubakar shekau? And the suicide bombers before they strike instead of just been reactive after the damage has Already been done Or is their power only effective when it comes to abusing the right of ordinary nigerians? |
"he who expects nothing can not be disappointed"I never expected anything from Jona, never voted for him,was so sure he got nothing to offer, with joy am not "disappointed"! |
kobonaire: i encourage you to visit any of those countries to see their level of infrastructure development and human development. That was the reason I said, with regular and stable power supply,Nigeria economywill fly. |

greggng: A woman secrets a fluid from her vagina .when this fluid comes in contact with the mans pennis the man starts adding weight . Please understand that you can only add weight if you married that woman legitmately. That's why must pepple fornicating don't add weight . That fluid recognises their ilicit act and punishes them with all types of diseases. Another reason men add weight when married is that the wife prepares home made food not junk food he is use to. For all the young boys and girls pls stop fornicating so that u can add weight.Good point.actually a medical doctor-friend told me about the" fluid" an I tot he was kidding. |
koastar: The husband is an accountant working in a one man owned business, the oil company is where his friend works. My friend wants to change his job and talked to his friend in the oil company about it but he was told that there is no vacancy for an accountant but they are in need of a chemical engineer who has 1-2yrs experience and trainable. This man has assured my friend that if he has anyone he can be rest assured that the person will be employed. He promised my friend this and asked him to take him for his word because he is part of the recruiting team and part of the management as well. The interesting thing is that my friend is not qualified for the job because he's not a Chemical Engineer but both his wife and brothers are qualified with 2yrs experience volunteering in a chemical industry before.Your friend must be an Ibo man,no disrespect,to my ibo folks, but majority of them value their blood relations over their wives.for God sake your wive shud come first, bible says "and two shall become one"so why shud he consider hisbrother over his covenanted wife? |
kobonaire: I agree with you. There is so much waste in individually generating our power/water supply. We need to be able to achieve this though sadly with some form of government support given the infrastructure cost and size. I feel we should have the aim for becoming a member of the BRICS nations because many of these countries were probably worse of than Nigeria about 20-30 years ago.Wt is special about the BRICS nations?Nigeria is already in their level or about to...south Africa is a member an nigerian has overtaking south Africa,as per GDP;wt puzzles me though-if we can achieve that wit epileptic power supply, then then our countries economy will definitely fly wit a regular and stable power-supply. |

Quelme: Military spending aside, Mother Rossiya (Russia) deserves to be the top gun in that list, in terms of hardware and technology they are ahead of others by a mile...Are u just talkin out of sentiment?go and school ur self.wt is the size of Russia's economy compare to the US?wud u spend wt u don't have? |

Hermanie: There is no amount of evidence or DNA's that will make me accept that this guy is part of this our human race. Never in my life have i seen someone so slow, so un-committed, so unserious, so complacent. This doesn't surprise me a bit, but what keeps me wandering is how this guy is been hyped.I disagree wit u on that.he did very well at the nation's cup.if he is doing bad now does not mean he hasn't don well in the past, watch the matches he played in CAN,especially Nigeria ivory coast and nigerian/Mali,aslo watch the matches he played for chelsea the year they won the champions leaque.its in order to criticise him for a lethargic performance in world cup,but that's not to rubbish wateva he had don in the past. |
Sijioke: This topic might have educate you one way or the other. You might now seem to be more elightened about the military and defence of other countries.Russia has more nuclear arsenal than the US,don't know where u got ur facts? |
omonuan: I cited sources for my facts. Where are the sources for the position you took? I see that you have sort of backed-off from your position that the population of Nigeria is not inflated. I guess my sources gave you a pause at least if you are still not convinced. You said Aba has 2 million houses, where is your source for that? I know Aba, it does not even have 100 thousand houses in my opinion. Not very many Nigerian cities have too million houses and Aba is certainly not one of them.I still maintain that Nigeria's population is not inflated;inflated is an extreme word as relate to the topic, can u prove beyond reasonable doubt to such?anybody will publish wt suits him(regarding ur facts) Are u saying every state government had inflated their population figures?then wt of the ones that had gone to the census tribunal for redress after been allocated an obviously lower figure, are u sayin they have no case, because some of them have actually gotten wt they are praying for.so the same way u belive the population is inflated, another believes the population is more than 170million;is there any state that's less than 3million,in ur own view? that's y Its wrong to categorically say they were inflated, some may have done that ,and some may have been under-enumarated.so the right word shud be "inaccurate" U.N has a better record of birth-rate,date -rate ,infants-mortality rate and wt have u,better than most developing countries,so its normal for them to have a better population data. The houses they have in Aba is not upto 100 thousand ?how many number of housing units do have in an estate ?and Aba does not have upto 100 thousand housing units since Nigeria's independence?are u kidding me ![]() |
omonuan: Your assertion that Nigeria's population is not inflated is contradicted by many sources. It is well known worldwide that Nigerians grossly inflate their census in order to receive more revenue allocation. This has been the official policy of the northern part of Nigeria until the south joined the game in recent times. http://www.pop.org/content/popcorn-nigerian-alarmist-figures-refutedUN does not need to conduct a physical census to arrive at a n "estimated"figure.they have got parameters for that, there is UNDP,solely responsible for that, and they have more accurate data than wt u have in most developing countries, they do not by any means rely on our figures. If u keep saying that 70% of Brazilians are blacks, that implies that JAPANESE,ITALIANS,CHINESE,PORTUGUES,SPANISH,GERMANS,BRITISH AND OF COURSE THE INDIGENOUS Brazilians only make up remaining 30% ![]() |
NwaNimo1: Israel is America; America is Israel.North Korea is a roque nation, even if they have u they won't tell u.everytin is done in secrecy |
