blessedtwins:Which area is it Igboefon, Ajah, sangotedo, awoyaya, eeputu, lakowe etc |
Kingsasian:When I got married it was a real battle between my hubby nd my daddy...My dad called everyday, sometimes more than once a day. My hubby was uncomfortable with it and i sometimes felt like crying after my dad called despite the fact that we courted for years before marriage and he was very caring. He started picking up my dad's call to tell him I'm fine..After some time, my dad felt I was happy and has limited his calls to weekends... Imagine my Hubby asked me lots of times who I loved more between Him and my Dad. I kept on reasurring him that I love my Dad but love him more. My hubby so relates with my Dad that my Dad has forgotten about me and I've forgotten about him. You have to use all your love skills this time around and make her dad know Shes comfortable so He can calm down and She will adjust after some time. |

Is it a dry land? |
Amplitron:Exactly. It should be about giving them the best in Totality. I remember how a friend that just graduated gave testimony in our Students fellowship of how his dad just made him a Manager in one of his Coys of over 50 staff..Imagine how many girls went to hug him after the testimony. They were everywhere around him. But this guy was 1 of the very humble guys i knew in Sch n He made a 2.1...He ate frm d bukka and lived like an average student cos his dad was very strict and He was well brought up. But on the other hand, he didn't have to job hunt like us and trust me he is ahead of most of us cos he had all resources to get a good masters, certifications and work experience that could give him access to resident permit in Canada nd make his Children Citizens of U.S by birthing them there...Whereas, we had to job hunt for about a year or over, started as trainee and started growing slowly. The gap he has given us is not small at all trust me... Hmm I believe in the all encompassing Legacy. And that's what I pray 4.. Raise your Children properly and leave good Assets for them. |
Lexusgs430:I have seen people who are very great today because of the assets their parents acquired. My friends dad bought a land in his days for a few hundreds of thousands...She is a young graduate with masters and she job hunted for a good job to no avail ..After her dad's death 3 of them sold d land 15mil..and she got over 4mil which is what she started using for importation, her guy had an average job but with her assistance they got married nd both are doing exceptionally fine with their kids. I have a relative who after graduation took over his dad's assets and you can't believe that the guy has used that to turn the family's fortune around through biz. Even my Pastor that has properties worth hundreds of millions began with what his wife got from her dad. If you stay in Lagos esp Island you will understand how people Destiny have been transformed due to the assets their parents acquired. |
Lexusgs430:A wise man leaveth inheritance for his Children's Children. Your parents didnt leave assets for you doesn't mean you should do same. Giving my Children exactly what my parents gave me makes me a Big FaiLure in my Opinion. We will do our best daily to ensure we teach our Children the way of the Lord, give them the best education, care, security, comfort and shelter. while we pray and strive to leave assets in terms of Coys, Estates e.t.c for them. God grant us our desires in Jesus Name, Amen |
Mothers are Super Humans... @op you could edit the live long thing. Both are meant to leave long cos they have unique roles to play in the family. |
How won't they?? When some of their mothers gave birth to them out of wedlock and feel proud about it in the name of self esteem. When they see baby mamas and daddies celebrated... When the people you call stars go nude and mommy and daddy look excited about it.. When Indecency is the hit of their birthday parties in terms of Music, Clothing and Jokes... When Daddy keeps a girl of her age as girlfriend.. When Trusted teachers, friends and family make advance to them... When sex is used to sell pads, toothpaste, and what have you.. Parents have become so modernised that they spare not only the rod but also rebuke in the name of jet age. |
Voted!!! |
goodgate:No, they are not. |
Wonderful!!! But I don't pray for this. |
goodgate:No, They're not |
tonychristopher:I answered the question perfectly well... Yorubas getting married from different political zones is not inter-tribal neither are ijaws nor ibos.. Inter-Tribal from different geopolitical zones is the farthest relationship in inter-Tribal marriage..e.g Hausa (North East) and Igbo (South East) So you are confused and never the kids from inter-Tribal marriage...You need to free your head and mind...There's no problem with inter-tribal marriage...The problem is you . |
IkpuMmadu:Grandparents -Different geopolitical zones. Parents -Different geopolitical zones... Myself -Very far from hubby..Different state, Culture and Language. |
tonychristopher:Sorry, how did you arrive at your statistics? A little of my background below; Grandparents....Inter-Tribal and Lasted till my GrandPa died... Parents....Inter-Tribal and Lasted over 30years without terrible itches till I lost my mom... Myself...Inter-Tribal, 4yrs of fun, Peace and joy and its going to last gloriously till I'm 90.... Pls its never about tribe but personality... I've got my facts |
Eddygourdo:Maybe because She didn't have kids for their brother. |
Eddygourdo:The heart of a Man is desperately wicked... In fact I think overfamiliarity caused some things... They took advantage of the fact that they knew her mum to be a poor widow, hence everything in her possession belonged to their brother... If She was the daughter of a very influential Chief, they wouldn't dare that. Such is Life |
Just lost a Close friend whose wife is from same village as the deceased.... I was talking with her some hours ago, and she started explaining her ordeal. Do you know that All atms of her Husband's accounts, documents ,car and home property was forcefully taken from her a day after her Husband's departure by his family?? Right now they are down on getting Compensation from his coy and RSA without considering Her Fate... So tribal or Inter-Tribal Marriage has nothing to do with the Success of a Union or Future Circumstances One will Face... |
Im rocking it big time... I love My Hubby so so Much... One thing I like is I don't understand their Language very well..So I don't get to hear much of what any relative says and assume they say nothing wrong about me If I nor hear good wey you talk na d bad one i wan hear? My mum used to say 'If Ear nor hear Mouth nor go Talk'. So I relate with everyone with a clear conscience and I'm at more Peace with everyone than those that understand the Language... I have peace of mind too. |
adipemcanis1:The more the number of Universities, The more the number of Admission and less number of Iliterates and Idle youths we will have thereby reducing Crime rate.. Whatever empowers our youths must be a welcome idea and a priority to every good government. I can vow that you didn't sponsor yourself through the Uni...How many parents in Nigeria earn up to 600k-1.2mil per annum?? Do you realize a lot of students in federal schools sponsor themselves? I remember how I struggled to earn my 1st degree... If you say they should increase fees because Times are hard, you are simply saying youths should device means of providing these funds through armed robbery or prostitution... Why don't u consider options like cutting down on unnecessary allowances and expenditure of politicians since they understand the economy better instead of an option that will increase crime rate and illiteracy.... |
Human beings always want to bite the finger that Fed them.. I remember how my mum took some relatives from the Villa who could not even say a word in English to School while helping with domestic needs...They were loyal and grateful until after about 2years when they knew their route and had gathered enough resource..immediately , thet started acting like they were doing us a favor, rented a room apartment and started feeling like they've arrived... My mum just ignored them and before we cud say Jack, dey started dropping out of Sch. Their younger ones keep calling me like they wanna stay with me I just keep them for cooler. I prefer using outsiders and pay them monthly to ppl I know.. Those you know most times end up biting u. |
I remember when #1=$1....Buhari #APC Campaign Strategy# I thought this was what Change was about ![]() What a Shame ![]() |
Hmmm. A traditional ruler is supposed to think through before talking...We need Unity and a Peaceful Co-existence Not Strive... He should have kept his thoughts and knowledge to himself and his Palace Chiefs... I'm not a Bini nor a Yoruba but I've always known the Bini Kingdom to be a Stronger and more Influential than any yoruba kingdom. No one should seek relevance by trying to create divisions... Is he trying to say the other Obas in Yoruba land are irrelevant? Or other Yorubas are counterfeit? We really don't need such statements in Nigeria right Now...He has to be called to order. |
Really Swt. So cute... Mine will land soon. |
thelish:Please you are Comedian... I laughed and laughed after reading your post... How you go call am brother... Some MILs nor get joy ooo. |
pretydiva:Who Said ![]() It all depends on whether he had a Legal (court) marriage with his wife or not... That only works if only customary(Traditional) wedding was done... |
blesoh:Mine too.... My MIL seems exceptional. Maybe because of her foreign exposure. But she never interferes in our affairs. I remember when hubby and I were still courting...When I visit the family house, hubby serves me food and when I'm tru eating my hubby will take the dishes to the kitchen while I sit like a queen and she never frowned even for once.. Whenever I try to clear up dishes or clean up, hubby will insist that I don't.. When Hubby told her he wanted to get married to me, she said it's kol that she won't stay with him and so won't decide who he should marry... If I visit her, she gets my breakfast and hot bath water ready before I get out from bed... She baths my daughter and washes clothes...Yet she is very comfortable financially.. Cos of the love She shows, I naturally do everything to make her happy... If her daughters jokingly complains, I tell them to go and meet their MILs and stop disturbing mine. They'll all start laughing cos she takes sides with me. |
igraman:And a Muslim like you created this topic with a staged picture. No matter what you guys try to do, The Church will Keep Matching On... Haters can hate... Jesus Christ Still Reigns!!! |
I went...Had a wonderful experience. |
naniawini:Just ignore her... If you get mad at her, she will give you a bad name in the family...They will start saying you disrespected her... Just keep her quiet and move on. Some Inlaws are just that way.. |
