Popular nigerian pastor, Pastor David Ibiyeomie during his sermon on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Salvation Ministries Home has recounted what led to the sudden death of former head of state, Abacha at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja on June 8, 1998. The Man of God, David Ibiyeomie stated thus “It is impossible to be proud and be grateful, proud people believe they made it by themselves and not God. A man called Ahithophel. 2nd Samuel 17:23. He committed suicide because he was so proud, his counsel was rejected and he killed himself, he was the wise man in David’s counsel team and his counsel was rejected and he committed suicide. He was so proud, there is no future for the proud. A man called Herod, Acts 12:21-23, the oration that was made on his birthday was that “this is the voice of a god”. You know men can sing you praise and kill you. God said he will deal with him, because he didn’t give God the glory. He was not born again, whether you’re a sinner or not it’s irrelevant and he was eaten up by worms and he gave up the ghost. God can’t share his glory. Do you know what killed Abacha? This was what killed Abacha. Abacha was a onetime Military ruler of Nigeria. I told my wife and some people that Abacha will die, I said this before he died. I told them that he will die. I saw that he died, Sani Abacha. I saw that a palm tree fell on him when they were holding a meeting. I said that this man will soon die. Most of you are young, you don’t know Abacha. This man, before they read network news, then they do read network news at 7am, they would sing for him. Everybody testify you’re good, you’re good Abacha, you’re good, Everybody testify you’re good, you’re good Abacha, you’re good. They will sing this song before they read the News. I said this man is a dead man. God can never share his glory. I also sang Abacha, when they carry you from Aso Rock, you go know say you no good. Truly, they carried him with his casket. Please, avoid pride, pride makes you to be high minded.” Source: https://tigblog.com.ng/2022/02/08/why-god-let-abacha-die-in-1998-pastor-david-ibiyeomie/

Don’t Let Anybody Pressurize You To Do What, You Don't Want To Do - Actress, Yetunde Bakare Yetunde Bakare, the Nollywood actress, has advised fans to avoid being pressured by anyone as she lectured men on how to treat their overdemanding lovers. The actress made this call on her Instagram story on Tuesday night. She wrote, “As a young guy, if your girlfriend is always demanding for things you cannot afford, chase her away.” Touching on parents who heap responsibilities on their unemployed children, the actress noted that such parents should be questioned about the source of wealth expected to be used by the child to meet the need. Bakare wrote, “As a child, if your parents are giving you responsibilities knowing fully well that you’re not working, ask them how and where they expect you to get the money. Don’t let anybody pressurise you.” This comes at a time when celebrities were speaking up against the spate of ritual killings and money rituals bedevilling the country. Ace music video director, Unlimited LA, in his reaction, stated that young boys should understand that honest work pays. The cinematographer, whose real name is Olalekan Oluwasegun, took to his official Twitter handle recently to state that young men need to be taught that there were people who make money legitimately. “I think it’s time we let these young boys understand that honest or legit workers are also making money too. We just too busy to show off. Before dem use everybody do rituals finish,” he tweeted. Let me share this testimony, a cult called Olumba Olumba, their headquarters is in Cross Rivers State. Listen, in 2001, I had no idea for 10 years they were going to the cemetery every day on my behalf. The confession is on tape. They said I am disturbing Olumba Olumba. Because in Port Harcourt they invaded everywhere. Every street in GRA, they had a shrine. So, I didn’t know. I just heard that in the Spirit realm they said I was troubling them. So they said whatever they have to do, they will do it against this man. So, they were making incantations in a particular grave every day. They said every day they go there. They pay them millions to do it. They did it for 10 years and all of them died except one. Why God kept him was because he needed to tell us the story. He said when everyone died, he was on his own and God said go and confess to David Ibiyeomie what you have been doing otherwise you will be dead. He woke up and saw nobody. He came on his own, he came to confess he said he is a prophet of Olumba Olumba. He mentioned his hierarchy; he was among the first five. He said this what has happened, for 20 years we have been after you. I said it is nonsense I won’t see him. I told some young men to attend to him. They recorded him as I am talking to you. The man is in Church. He is born again now. But that is not where I am going, they did not stop there. When they could not fight me spiritually they said, “frame him up, that the miracles he does is a magic from India.” How many of you were in Church when I said it? They went and showed the egg. They said the miracle I do that I have buried an egg inside the altar. That is why I could not open branches. They said the reason I am yet to spread yet is because if I spread the miracles won’t work and without knowing, that month we opened branches. They now asked, “the man you said he can’t open branches, the thing he buried is it not there again?” He came to confess everything. If I was not a vengeance type they wouldn’t have died, if I was praying, “oh God show mercy oh show mercy.” Source: https://tigblog.com.ng/2022/01/31/how-olumba-olumba-tried-to-bring-me-down-pastor-david-ibiyeomie/

Budding Nollywod actress, Omalicha Elom has revealed she prefers older men to younger ones because of how they take charge and control of the relationship. According to the actress who noted that she cannot marry a younger lover even though she desires marriage in 2022, she cannot be submissive to a younger lover. Speaking in a live chat with The Sun, the outspoken Nollywood diva said: “I wish to get married this year. But I can never marry a young lover. I like older guys; three to five years older than me. I like my man being in charge and in control. I can’t be submissive to a younger lover; I’m too strong-headed. So, I like a man that will sometimes say ‘no’ to my bad habits and excess spending. “Dating a younger lover would make it seem like a small child caressing my breasts. On the other hand, I can’t also date a much older man. I can’t stand the thoughts of an old man even hugging me, no matter how rich he is. My man must be wealthy, respectful and must be good in bed”. American business magnate and Microsoft founder, Bill Gates has warned that future pandemics could be worse than the ravaging coronavirus. Gates spoke of his worries as the Bill & Melania Gates Foundation donated $150 million (£110m) to the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovation (CEPI) on Wednesday, January 19. CEPI are set to use the donations in the fight against coronavirus as well as in preparation for potential pandemics in the future, it was announced on Tuesday. Speaking about the work done by CEPI, Gates said in a statement; “As the world responds to the challenge of a rapidly evolving virus, the need to deliver new, lifesaving tools has never been more urgent.” “Next time the world suffers pandemic it could be worse than coronavirus” CEO of CEPI, Dr Richard Hatchet, said: “These generous pledges will dramatically advance CEPI’s plan to reduce epidemic and pandemic risk in the future by developing vaccines against emerging infectious diseases while ensuring equitable access for all.” Gates added: “Our work over the past 20 years has taught us that early investment in research and development can save lives and prevent worst-case scenarios.” The Bill & Melania Gates Foundation has pledged the $150 million to “Help CEPI accelerate the development of safe and effective vaccines against emerging variants of the coronavirus and to prepare for, and possibly even prevent, the next pandemic”. Gates took the chance to urge governments to contribute in order to “prevent the spread of future pandemics, some of which could have the potential for a higher fatality rate than the coronavirus pandemic” In a blog post on Wednesday, Gates explained a few things had gone wrong when it came to Covid, writing; “Creating new vaccines isn’t enough. We also have to make sure that everyone who can benefit from vaccines has access to them, and that’s where the world has collectively failed in its response to COVID. “While at least 9 billion doses were distributed in the past year, less than 1% went to people in low-income countries. “We need to do better the next time the world faces a pathogen that has the potential to spark a pandemic”. Nigerians are about to pay more for gasoline, thanks to the National Economic Council’s (NEC) proposal that the pump price is set at N302 per litre. However, the former Head of State warned against such a step during the 19th Daily Trust Dialogue in Abuja. NEC, chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, made the recommendation in November 2021. Doris Obenewaa a First Degree holder in mathematics and a Masters holder in Actuarial Science has resorted to selling food due to unemployment. Narrating her story in an interview, Doris indicates that she holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics after which she went ahead to study for an MSc in Actuarial Science, both at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She added that during her first year in Akwamuman SHS in Akosombo where she studied General Science, the brilliant young lady lost her mother and in the first year after SHS, her father suffered a terrible stroke. She resorted to studying Mathematics and barely had any support from anyone as she had to virtually do everything for herself and rely on the kindness of some strangers throughout her four-year school period. After national service, Doris was offered a 3-month contract and then moved to a contracting company (ESCO company limited) within Goldfields with a role as a Data Analyst. In less than a year, she was able to gather enough money and enrolled for her Masters in Actuarial Science in KNUST as a distance learning student. But after a month of starting school, my contract was terminated for the reason that my schooling was taking most of my attention,” Doris recalls. All of Doris’ savings were exhausted and she never got any other job, for which reason she had to resort to the sales of hair products and then moved on to start cooking, which was always her hobby. “I loved to cook, garnish & post on my social media page. So I had people admiring my work and encouraging me to start my own food business. In January 2020, she heeded to the advice & invested the little savings I made from my hair product business to start OB’s Kitchen,” Doris narrates. Speaking of her future aspiration, Doris intends to grow OB’s kitchen into a big restaurant with branches all over Ghana. However, she still seeks a corporate job as she desires to put her studies into use and also pursue a PhD. source: https://tigblog.com.ng/2022/01/14/meet-lady-with-bsc-in-maths-and-masters-in-actuarial-science-who-sells-food/

You will agree that your salary is never enough to get you through the month. You plan your budget well and then something unplanned comes up and you have to spend out of your planned budget and this shrinks your salary even further. We see how the cost of goods and services are taking a hike every day. This is a time to consider running a business. We all know that the Nigerian business climate can be challenging but there are a handful of businesses that can get you what you earn in a month on a daily basis. Although your returns will largely depend on the capital you are willing to invest, I will share some great business ideas that you can start with immediately and have stable returns of 10k daily. Hairdressing – This business involves a lot of capital, but you don’t have to start out this way! You can begin with home service for working women. I know a lot of women that will not want to go through the stress of going to a salon, this can be your target market. You majorly need to learn to make the hair and you can learn this on YouTube and a hair mannequin. Making a person’s hair should cost about N5,000 per person, you can make revenue of N10,000 to N20, 000 per day if you make hair for four persons in a day. Graphic designing – With a laptop and your graphic design software, you can make a lot more income! It costs about N5,000 to make a flier, four of that in a day is already N20, 000. Look at the potential income you could make. Great stuff is that you can use easy design software like Canva! Fashion designing – Although this skill takes about six months – a year to perfect, the rewards and profits from this business are endless! The charge to learn ranges from N20,000 to N50,000 depending on your location. You can also learn on YouTube. To make a dress could cost from N5,000 -N10,000, so when you make two dresses, you already have N20, 000 in a day! Food business – Everybody will eat at some point, so this business will definitely bring in the big bucks! Make a little staple food and begin for starters and then grow from here. The possibilities are endless! You will need about N20,000 to start a roadside food business. A plate of food can cost from N500 – N1,000, if you sell food to 20 people at N500 naira per plate, that’s already N10,000! Just make sure your business is positioned in very good places like markets and office areas. Soap and diffuser making – There are a lot of free recipes to learn on YouTube. Find one of them and get on with production. You can begin this business with N10,000 – N15,000, bulk produce and sell to target companies and individuals. You can sell at N5,000 – N10,000 for one, depending on the market you are selling to. Uber/Bolt driver – This business sure brings in major income! Good thing is you don’t have to own your own car to start this business, you will need to know how to drive and have a driver’s licence. Drivers can earn from very high-profit margins. A ride can fetch up to N1,500, and with 10 rides in a day, you already have N10,000. Businesses in Nigeria will surely take a lot of effort so they can grow to scale as you desire, but it is worth the effort! And it’s better than staying broke *winks*. You WONT miss heaven. No devourer will be unleashed on you. You WONT get sick because of non tithe payment. Your children WONT be wayward. Enough of these lies. Enough, please! Your prosperity is NOT tied to tithes. Let’s separate prosperity from salvation. They are two completely different and unrelated things. Christ is the Route to salvation. Work is the route to prosperity. Five of the world’s largest tech firms have Indian CEOs including, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Twitter and Adobe. Why? It is not because of prayer or tithe (none of them are Christian). It is because of the Indian work ethic, which is built on hard and smart work. We all can learn a thing or two from them.
