NYSC / Re: Is It Compulsory To Do NYSC? by fam24(f): 12:58pm On May 01, 2017 |
The issue is she's still within the age bracket for NYSC presently, but she's not ready to come back to Nigeria to do it now. Even if she will consider coming back, it will be like in the next seven to ten years, and she would have exceeded the age for NYSC. Hope she won't be affected in a negative way then, if she considered seeking for employment then |

Damoxy: Is there anything not doing it may cause? Will she be able to work in Nigeria later in future if she decide to settle down in Nigeria? |

I have a sister who studied aboard, and she's not ready to come back to Nigeria. She feels NYSC is a waste of time. Is there any implication of not doing NYSC? PLS I NEED ANSWERS ASAP Cc Lailablog Seun Fynestboi |

I don't support irresponsibility. Both Maureen and Jake have their excesses. Maybe we should ask the guys how it feels when you intend having a one night stand with a stranger, and you later discovered the person knew you and has their own plan set for you. And the person come up with one pregnancy and decide to report you to your family, thinking they can force you to be a family man. When Jake left during the second pregnancy, he was kidnapped by his mum and did not want to endanger Maureen. The next time he showed up, Maureen was in labour, and she thought that was the best time to get married. Their relationship was built on lies, deceit, threat etc. They were never patient with each other. #Team Victoria #Team Evans #Team Ethan 4 Likes |

marianneada: Heartless? In the sense that she's ready to accept the kids as her own? Or because she stood by a man who she assumed had nothing and when he was emotionally unstable, and decided to stand by him with his kids?? I think I need the meaning of Heartless 2 Likes |

heemah: Sorry? Which far? Do you mean having a finance? Pls what do you expect from him? He should have come back and keep begging Joel to collect the bride price from him or to beg Maureen to give him a chance in her life? I hope we have not forgotten how Maureen and Jake's relationship started, and how it got to this stage 1 Like |

The only thing I ask of Jake is for him to be a responsible father. He should try and make his kids see reasons why he and their mum can't be together any more. I'm not expecting him to be with a woman who won't give him a chance to explain himself before making her judgement/conclusion. If they had gone to court as Joel/Maureen wanted then, what would have happened? Maureen should stick with her loving brother who knows it all and never see anything good in Jake, (as if we didn't know how he married his wife) and they should come to a settlement about the kids 2 Likes |

I expect more from Jake. I expect Jake to stay around and monitor his kids esp Victoria even if it's from afar. Like visiting her in school once in a while. But I'm not disappointed. It's typical of men to think a child will ask of his/her father when they grow up. Not minding the psychological effect not having a father around would have had on the child while growing up. 2 Likes |

TiffanyJ, thumbs up. though there are some mistakes in the update, like writing Mureen instead of Mich etc. How are you? How is your health? Thanks for the update. I hope our dear uncle Joel is happy now that his sister is a single mother and lives with him. He should kuku marry her. And our uncle Henry, I hope he is also happy that his brother and his kids are no longer competing with his kids for the grandfather's love and attention. Nobody considered Victoria while making their decision, this is like the third or forth time she would get separated from her father. Those selfish adults should give one reason why Victoria should obey them. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Health / World Water Day 2017 by fam24(f): 12:54am On Mar 22, 2017 |
WORLD WATER DAY 2017 WATER TREATMENT IN NIGERIA: A CAUSE FOR CONCERN The most common source of water for domestic uses especially in the urban areas is the well water connected to pipelines popularly called bore holes. The water process involves the use of pumping machine been inserted into the well, which is connected to a storage system, from where it is connected to the different pipelines connecting the house. The process of treating this water involves pouring alum and chlorine into the well and left for few hours/days for these chemicals to react with the water. After this process, it is believed that the water is then safe for drinking. The alum is to allow the coagulation and sedimentation of solid particles in the water, while the chlorine is to disinfect the water. Chlorine, a very effective antimicrobial agent, is a first choice disinfectant in water treatment. It is not to be introduced into unclean water because of its ability to form chlorinated hydrocarbons with organic compounds, which are suspected carcinogens. Before chlorine should be added to water, the water should have undergo a certain level of purification to remove all organic and inorganic matters in the water such as coagulation, filtration and water softening, as the chlorine is to kill any microorganisms present in the water sample. There is need to remove the coagulated sediments from the water before the addition of chlorine. The chlorine does not remove the effects of macro particles in the water such as water colouring. The negative effects of adding chlorine to water containing organic matter (cancer) which is a long term effect outweighs its benefit (prevention of infection) which is a short term benefit. When the risk outweighs the benefit, then it is not worth it. Chlorination should be the last stage of water processing. #NO TO CARCINOGENIC WATER #YES TO PORTABLE WATER #YES TO LIFE #WATER IS LIFE #MARCH 22 |

Chinny own don too much. She has told Shiv initially, so she should leave her. If Shiv like, make she become slave, na her nature, she is people's pleaser, she should keep pleasing everyone. People like her who only turn Chinny to her enemy. They like to satisfy everybody. Chinny, leave her alone. A word is enough for the wise |

Nnnena: Yes, let create more awareness about domestic violence and its consequence. We should not just talk about it and overlook it. The offenders should not go unpunished. Sorry doesn't take away the pain. It should not be a case of 'the perpetrator has changed, go and sin no more.' The abnormalities in our societies should be corrected through fiction. #My opinion |

Dike is just like Nathan. Chumzypinky, Put a life in your characters. Must one be in love before you can do the right thing. Must one be so aggressive just cos your life is not in the way you want it to be or cos you are frustrated? All your stories, must it evolved around domestic violence? just because it happens in real life, does not mean we should encourage it. 1 Like 1 Share |

Chumzypinky: I don't blame Mia one bit. She is only been human. I still prefer her a million times to Shiv who has no mind of her own. Thank God I don't have a manipulative parent. Even if I do, I can not be manipulated. As much as I love my family esp my mum, I do my things my way. Explain to each other and we see reasons with each other. Even the bible says, 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. If considering myself means selfishness, I will rather be selfish. 2 Likes |

Sleek05: I don't know if it's too late to answer this, but I hope it help someone else, if not you, in making their decision. My dad is actually CC, and I can say he is the strongest person in our house. He has no trait of sickle cell. His major sickness is boils, a sign of infection. No pain, no crisis. But medically, it is believed that he is just lucky that people with genotype CC, apart from been sickle cell carrier, are also sickle cell patient. His case may just be 1 in 100. I advise you see a hematologist for medical advice, not just any doctor. My take is that if you are not AA, then you must marry AA. Wish you all the best in any decision you made. |

The decisions I made immediately I finished reading this tori: 1. I no go comment, maybe madam Chumzypinky just dey pull our legs 2. If she is serious, I no go read her tori again until she finished it and I saw that it's not tragedy through people's comment But thank God for people like azequeen and warfibabe who no allow the thought of the enemis to prevail in the life of our beloved sister Kainene and her fiancée. Praise the Lord oooo Mama Chumzy, why you hate my Kainene so much you wanted her to kill her fiancée, how will she cope with the guilt. kuku kill her. Let her kuku 'kill herself than commit suicide'. You could not say the bullet met Chuks and he became bedridden that nobody attended to him and he had to beg Kaka's sister and that one showed him pepper, cos death is not a punishment for such people like him. He should be alive and be wishing for death. Na our Nathan you now wan kill, and not any kill o, kill by Kainene's bullet. Madam u no nice at all. As for others, I leave them to nature to take care of them according to the work of their hand. Well done ma. To the viewers like me, well done sir, well done ma. See you on the next train. It don start o. Don't miss am. 1 Like 1 Share |

Chumzypinky: I so much love this episode. I've been expecting Kainene to send her packing since. It's her house, she has all the right to have some peace and quietness in her own house. Nathan really surprise me o. I was not expecting him to fired her like that and so quickly. I felt a little pity for Myra anyway. She lost her home and her job the same day. I'm expecting her fight back sha. |
