NIGERIA AND LEICESTER CITY STRIKER AHMED MUSA NOT GOING TO TURKEY

Nigeria and Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa not going to Turkey

Nigeria and Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa’s agent has rubbished claims that the Super Eagles international is heading to Turkey.

According to Tony Harris, Musa is not interested in a move to Turkey, saying the player will remain in the English Premier League and take his chances with the Foxes.

This comes after reports that Turkish Super Ligue side Bursaspor and City are in negotiations for a loan deal for Musa who is yet to start a game for the former EPL champions this season.

"Ahmed Musa is a very influential player who will be able to add value and class to us," said Bursaspor's Hasan Parlakay.

"If we are realistic, we cannot buy him. But he wants to play with Nigeria in the World Cup. For this you have to keep playing and keep form in the league. We have players in our team from the same national team, [Mikel] Agu and [William] Troost-Ekong.

"Wearing the Bursaspor shirt on loan until the end of the year is an attractive offer. We hope to give good news in the coming days."

Despite confirming the interest from Turkish sides, Harris said the winger will not consider a move away from King Power Stadium.

"We have indeed been approached by the top three clubs in Turkey but Musa is not keen to go to Turkey just yet,” said Harris.

"There's a big chance that Musa will remain in England. I'm however, surprised about the link to Bursaspor.

"I don't know where the rumour came from. It's a complete joke and a figment of someone's imagination. Rest assured Musa is not going to Bursaspor."

Nigeria ranked 10th in EPL goals scored

EPL

Nigeria have made an indelible mark on the history of the English Premier League in many ways. One reference point is the quality of players the country have supplied to the league and the number of goals they have scored.

When the nations of the world were ranked according to the goals their nationals have scored in the EPL, Nigeria ranked 10th with 471 goals as at the end of 2017.

Apart from the country’s leading all other African countries on the list, Nigeria also made the list ahead of top footballing countries like Brazil, Argentina, Italy and Germany.

The list, which was compiled by the EnglishPremiereLeague.com was topped, not surprisingly, by England with 10,826 goals. France are in second place with 1,477 goals while the Republic of Ireland came in the third position with 945 goals.

Coming in 14th globally and second among African countries were Ivory Coast with 321, followed closely at number 15 by Senegal with 314.

this is really bad for him and his World Cup chances

When a player is out for so long, especially a young one as Onyekuru, it may not end well. Hopefully, Onyekuru bounces back next year. I feel really bad for the kid, so unfortunate cry
I really feel sad for the young lad particularly at this stage of his blazing football career. I pray he recovers fully in good time .

Horror news for Everton striker Henry Onyekuru

Back in the summer Henry Onyekuru joined Everton from Belgian side KAS Eupen.

The striker was on blistering form last season as he scored 22 goals in Belgium’s top flight.

Everton paid £6.8 million for the striker, while Onyekuru has been loaned to Anderlecht for the season.

Earlier in the season, as Everton were struggling in the wrong end of the table, some wondered whether Onyekuru should be recalled to Goodison Park.

But after this weekend’s action in Belgium, Onyekuru is unlikely to be playing football in the next few months.

Anderlecht 1 – Eupen 0

In a meeting between Henry Onyekuru’s former and current employers on Friday, Anderlecht beat Eupen 1-0.

Anderlecht full-back Francis Amuzu was the surprise match winner for RSCA.

But towards the end of the match the hosts suffered a major blow as Onyekuru was forced out the game on a stretcher.

Onyekuru’s bad news

On Saturday night the bad news had been confirmed.

Everton striker Onyekuru will need surgery on his knee injury for a torn medial ligament.

That could well rule the striker out for the rest of the season.

Onyekuru has scored nine goals for Anderlecht on loan from the Toffees.

It is just a factor. Not the only factor.

Moses not playing in this year' s AFCON is a major negative for him.

You cannot be an African footballer of the year when you didn't take part in the AFCON while the other strong tenders did.
But none of the players from Cameroon made the cut of the top 3.

I still find the inclusion of Aubameyeng questionable ..

Ndidi Is Africa's Most Valuable U21 Player; Iwobi, Abraham & Iheanacho Listed In Top 100
Seven players eligible to represent the Nigerian national team have been named among the 100 most valuable U21 players in the world, in a survey conducted by the CIES Football Observatory.

According to the report published on Monday, December 4, Leicester City's Young Player of the Year Wilfred Ndidi is the eleventh most valuable U21 footballer in the world, with his transfer value increasing from 48.7 million euros to 64.8 million euros, a 33 percent increase.

The Nigeria international midfielder is the highest ranked African on the list and is ahead of Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham (25th), Arsenal's Alex Iwobi (34th), Dominic Solanke (55th), Kelechi Iheanacho (56th), Ademola Lookman (71st) and Jordon Ibe (86th).

Iwobi's transfer value has reduced from €36.2 million to €31.5 million, while Iheanacho's value has reduced to €19.4m after spending less minutes on the pitch following his transfer to Leicester City.

PSG striker Kylian Mbappe (€182.8 million) is currently the most expensive U21 player in world football, followed by Tottenham's Dele Alli (€180.2 million) and Manchester City's Leroy Sane (€124.5 million).

Seven of the eleven players with the highest transfer values for U21 players represent English Premier League clubs, including Wilfred Ndidi.

Croatia can be hurt with speed... their defenders are criminally slow. We need to perfect our speedy counters before the WC.

They also love to control possession, their midfield can keep the ball. Perisic has some decent speed on the left but i think Ebuehi or Shehu can handle it.
I agree with you. With right formation, good preparation and some luck, we can even top our group.

I'm almost done watching the first half

For a debutant, Tammy had a pretty good game. Good positional awareness. Was never overwhelmed by the occasion. Good link ups. Did not play like a debutant. Great attempt at goal. So far i'd give him a 7/10.
