I have been pondering on what really is the meaning and the significance of Today's Holiday. Can someone tell me? In my environment today, though the holiday has religious expression, the most people that were present first in their one-man businesses were moslems. Their businesses were carried out with so much fervour as if there was nothing being celebrated. I never saw one moslem man, woman or youngster today wearing a special dress for the supposed celebration. I, and I repeat, I did not see ANY special services today conducted today in the mosques around me. I want to emphasise, even as at yesterday, some moslems were at a loss of the public holiday was all about. I am not stating how this supposed Birthday of their prophet should be celebrated, MY CONCERN IS THAT WE DON'T NEED TO SHUT THE COUNTRY DOWN FOR NOTHING! Enough of politically motivated holidays, we need truly religious holiday that worth it |

GOOD NEWS! Winners’ Pastor Abducted by Boko Haram Released After 7 Months. News reaching Church Gist has confirmed that the abducted pastor of the Living Faith Church aka Winners’ Chapel, Pastor Moses Oyeleke who was abducted by Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad popular known as Boko Haram on 10th April, 2019 and another woman, one Ndagilaya Ibrahim Umar of Government Science Secondary School, Askira Uba in Borno State have finally regained their freedom from the armed insurgents. According to news gathered, the long road to the pastor’s freedom was initiated by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum through the help of two highly influential NGOs with sufficient knowledge and contacts with the dreaded insurgents. The names of the NGOs that bravely facilitated the historic release of the pastor and the teacher with the active support, logistics and intelligence from the Army and the DSS are the INITIATIVE FOR PEACE BUILDING MOVEMENT AND THE KALTHUM FOUNDATION FOR PEACE. The INITIATIVE this paper reliably gathered is under one Hammajam Babangida Adamu and Inuwa Shettima Yikala while the KALTHUM FOUNDATION is led by a woman, Ummukalthum Umar. Mr. Babangida and Ummukalthum both enjoy the confidence of the Abubakar Shekau’s led Boko Haram. Insider sources confirm that the mission that led to the freedom of Pastor Oyeleke started penultimate week with briefings and discussions with Governor Zulum before the military was eventually informed. The actual journey started on Saturday, 9th November, 2019 when President Muhammadu Buhari gave his approval. A special team from the Nigeria Army, the DSS and three persons representing the two NGO groups that are said to be coordinating and negotiating with the insurgents subsequently began the risky journey. The captives were eventually released on the evening of Sunday 10th November, 2019. The picture attached captures the moment Pastor Oyeleke and Mrs Ndagilaya were brought by the insurgents. Our source commended the Army and the DSS for the professional manner they conducted themselves and for the support they are giving to Governor Zulum and his peace and de-escalation initiatives. He said the governor has left no one in doubt about his sincerity not only to rescue all those in captivity but to ensure that the violent activities of the insurgents has come to an end in a very peaceful manner. The source revealed that while the Borno State Government through the influential NGOs have sponsored the trip and coordination of the rescue mission, no ransom was given to the Boko Haram insurgents. The whole process according to him was done based on the atmosphere of understanding between the facilitators, Governor Zulum and the security agencies that are interested in serving lives without compromising the oneness of the Nigerian state. It was also gathered that due to the latest understanding and the peaceful nature of the pastor’s release, many of those that were abducted may soon regain their freedom under the innitiative of Governor Zulum. Satanist leader abandons Luciferian church he founded to get baptized after becoming a born again Christian Stephanie Velez Tue 1 Aug 2017 18:30 BST Ex-Satanist Jacob McKelvy's baptism Pastor Robert Hogan of the Spring First Church in Houston, Texas baptises Jacob McKelvy, founder of the Greater Church of Lucifer.(Screenshot/YouTube/Jacob McKelvy) Jacob McKelvy was so wrapped up in Satanism that he helped to start a Luciferian church in Texas. But that all ended when he found Jesus and declared all satanic ties broken by the blood of Jesus during his baptism this year. While Satanists are becoming emboldened across America to push their beliefs into schools and public areas, Jesus is also doing His work in the hearts of people captured by darkness and bringing them one by one into His light. McKelvy is one of these people and now he has severed all links with dark spiritual forces, along with his wife who also got saved. They were baptized together at a service at Spring First Church in Houston, Texas, on February 5. It's an incredible transformation for a man who was once involved in setting up a Luciferian church in Houston that attracted a lot of protests and criticism from Christians at the time. Actually, his road into darkness was not anticipated as he grew up in a Mormon family. But things took a dark turn for McKelvy when his sister died after being bitten by a snake. Sharing his story with CBN News, he described how the power of Luciferianism attracted him. 'I was born and raised Mormon and so I understood what Jesus Christ was and what God was and if they took my sister away I was going to go to the dark side. There was a lot of hopelessness and feeling of powerlessness that drew me to this. When Luciferianism says that you are your own God, that's pretty powerful,' he said. In the ultimate act of deliverance, though, Jesus swooped in and won him back to the light and during the baptism service, McKelvy made a remarkable declaration of faith to break off all ties with Satanic power. '(W)e were once covered in darkness and bound to each other in Luciferian covenant,' Jacob McKelvy said. 'We were mired in the shadows of the adversarial influence and knew no love outside of each other. Today I rebuke, denounce and break the satanic covenant by the blood of Jesus.' https://www.christiantoday.com/article/satanist-leader-abandons-luciferian-church-he-founded-to-get-baptized-after-becoming-a-born-again-christian/111370.htm

IamR:Now" the Democracy is not in danger" again But throughout last week, our democracy was in danger because it's APC that won! |
Good evening Lagos. Your Excellency is a nice title that has been used to signify authority, position in government, authoritarian disposition, executive arrogance, and a demi-god mystique. Today, I wish to drop the title and to embrace a more representative one; Mr. Governor. In the last five months that I have been privileged to exercise the mandate freely given to me by the great and hardworking people of Lagos State, it has come to my consciousness to review certain features of citizen-government relations. These features impede the genuine expression of the democratic spirit of our society and the meaningful exercise of the sovereignty of our people. The office of the Governor has been celebrated as the paragon of excellence, a temple of perfection and a throne of purity. This demi-god mystique spreads over the entire machinery of the executive arm of the government, symbolising an authoritarian disposition on the governed. It has deformed the orientation of the elected and appointed persons who are paid from the taxes of the people. Elected and appointed persons now see themselves as oppressors who can do no wrong and must be served, rather than serve the people. Whatever might have been the reason for this myth, let us be honest, the office is occupied by a mortal who has been called upon to serve. Not just to serve, but with humility and sincerity. The office of the Governor is a public trust that calls for sacrifice, modesty and willingness to add value to the lives of the people. Fellow Lagosians, as I embrace the name Mr. Governor, I have come to the conclusion that for us to change the narrative of governance, we have to strip down this seeming symbol of executive arrogance that commands popular obeisance. Executive arrogance that undermines the democratic role of citizens as the masters of those they have elected and appointed to serve. It is a conviction that I believe will send the right signals to all politicians and civil servants that service to the people has brought us here. It is the duty we are obliged to do. It is the responsibility that we bear wherever we find ourselves; whenever we are called to serve. Only God, the Almighty, the Creator, the Protector is the Most Excellent. No man can share His eternal qualities. Thenceforth, I wish to be addressed simply as Mr. Governor, a title that will constantly remind me that I have been chosen out of so many fellow compatriots to lead a collective salvage of our political economy. A salutation that sanitises the paraphernalia of office and reminds us all of our imperfections and mortality. To give official effect to this announcement, I shall issue tomorrow an executive order that will formally ensure full compliance with this new policy.
