AndroBlaze: So we are arguing for arguing sake now?
Where did anyone indicate that solar power without a source to store the power would provide 24/7 electricity?
But I guess in order to belittle everything the government does you chose to skip the part where they mentioned that 72 batteries were involved in the electrification project.
Only those who know very little about solar would need everything spelt out for them. I use solar panels in my house for the past 6 years, even at night the batteries won't withstand regular consumption on a full charge and that's without turning on the fridge and other heavy appliances. I don't know why you're so aggressive when I'm just giving my own opinion based on my experience with solar energy. If you don't like my suggestion to have a more comprehensive power cover fine, I'm sure the government knows what they are doing since they have handled the electricity situation so well. |

MrStylish: Abobi Why is Nigeria leaders like this?? Why will villagers give information to bokoharam to come kill fellow villagers at the tone of 110 people You believe them? No doubt Boko Haram is getting some local help but this is purely a deflection tactic. They knew villagers were aiding terrorists yet they didn't arrest or deploy counter insurgency measures. |

Arrewa: see them!!
Make una enjoy!!
Over 40 farmers were killed in Borno village.
You ipobs have been celebrating this tragedy opening thread up and down on how the north is gone.
Farmers were killed in Borno village. But I have been seeing comments from the Easterners telling us how the whole of the north is gone and Wil never know peace.
The unity in the north is second to none!!
The killings happened not to Hausa or Fulanis.
The killings happened to kanuris of Borno.
But we share their pains!!
Killing of 43 innocent villagers in Borno is like a killing in kano to me.
For those mocking the whole north of Over the killings in Borno. Keep it up and enjoy!!
Dear people zabarmari We have failed you. To all those killed, May Allah grant them Aljannatu Firdaus. It's a shame that the people in Zamfara, kastina, Kaduna villages and Zabarmari couldn't get the protection they deserve. This is a failure of security, manifesting before our very eyes.
Heavy Protest loading.... The people beheaded were workers from Sokoto. Anyways when people were being killed down south by the army some people were denying or celebrating the slaughter of "IPOB terrorists". This is simply the result of exalting mediocrity because of ethnic sentiment. |

SmartyPants: Sir, I used that source because the rest are blogs.
https://www.africanmilitaryblog.com/2017/12/the-top-10-best-air-force-in-africa
Even here Nigeria is still ahead of Ethiopia.
But let me not stray too far from my original point which was that Nigeria does not need advanced fighter aircraft.
Even the most sophisticated fighter jet has a limited flying range so you only buy fighter jets if :
1. You have nearby powerful and hostile neighbors; or,
2. You have aircraft carriers or a network of bases across the region.
The point is, Nigeria is the air power in our region and those with superior Air Forces on the continent do not have the capacity to deploy them against us effectively. So we buy what we need, which is simply enough power to decimate boko haram. Seriously, this blog said Nigeria fought an air battle with Chad. This blog puts Ethiopia ahead of Nigeria. https://militarywifi.com/2021-ranking-of-the-top-10-strongest-air-force-in-africa/Anyways I have already acknowledged that Nigeria's main priority is fighting ground targets but that doesn't make it "better" especially if you want to compare a head to head fight between two different countries and not stateless insurgents. Anyhow sha, they must sha defeat this Boko Haram, I'm tired of seeing their faces. |

SmartyPants: Not according to reputable rankings.
https://www.globalfirepower.com/countries-listing-africa.asp You sure took your time to find this highly misleading list, let's break it down; - First this list is for total military strength, the topic at hand is about Air strength. - Even at that the way it is measured is highly misleading, population, road coverage, oil production all factor into the ranking and Ethiopia has no oil, a smaller population and is a mountainous area. - It makes no mention of tactics at all. Now let's get to the main point. - It measures number of aircraft as superior but makes no mention of the types of aircraft available. - Nigeria has more helicopters and trainer aircraft with trainers making 1/3 of the "military strength". - The 13 dedicated attack aircraft are the Super Tucano planes that we have bought but are yet to use. - Ethiopia has less aircraft overall but more fighters which are designed specifically to destroy other aircraft. If we were to have an air superiority battle with Ethiopia Nigeria would lose because most of the air power is focused on fighting ground targets. - If we are even to take this list seriously Angola would destroy Nigeria in the air. |

SmartyPants: There is no sub-saharan African country with an Air Force on a par with Nigeria other than South Africa.
I challenge you to name one.
You don't buy expensive aircraft merely to say you have bought expensive aircraft. You buy the ones that fit your needs. Nigeria is battling Boko Haram who do not have air capabilities and this these jets are suitable. Ethiopia |

The Democrats have a dark past but they seem to have learnt from it. They now are more inclusive and accommodating of other races than any other party in the US.
The white supremacist and nationalist undertone by the Republican party and Trump was their biggest downfall. There's no space in the world for tribalists, both in the local or global scale(so called nationalists).
We are one in humanity. The earth belongs to everybody. No one brought a skin colour or land from heaven. Undertone? Trump appointed an open racist and white supremacist into the Whitehouse. They didn't even try to hide it. |

This warning came when you guys have farmers working in the farm, now 50+ of them have been slaughtered by patriotic bokoharam so expect the famine earlier than predicted.
Every sane government should be worried about this because when there's nothing else left to eat, both your police and army will be eaten.

AndroBlaze: It seems you know very little about solar and its capabilities. Solar power won't work at night or during cloud cover in the rainy season and fog of Harmattan so it's not even going to deliver 24/7 electricity. A combination of wind and solar with inverters is the way to go. |
Politics › Re: Nigerians To Own N5m Solar Systems At N4000 Monthly by Farki: 9:11am On Nov 30, 2020 |
OneTemplate: They are not "billing"for solar power. Read again. The 4k per month appears to be instalment payment towards households permanently owning a #5million solar power system.
It is a good and commendable plan if corruption does not compromise it because a 5 million solar system should be quite powerful enough to deal with all the electricity needs of a household minus AC. It is clean and fuel-free energy also That 5 million at 4000 a month is very suspect, it would take 83 years to pay everything. I also use solar power but anyone with a solar powered home knows that is is useless and will constantly go off without an inverter and batteries. Even at that a brand new solar powered system will struggle to run even a refrigerator or microwave. |
