if 2020 has taught us anything is that you need to negoitate everything you former you and get the best
FoodHow To Help Your Restaurant, Eatery Or If You Sell Food Item Make More Profit by farmsupport(op):
There is a geographic distribution with foodstuff price, if you are not in the three categories above or not in food selling, catering as a business this might not really concern you.

The fact that a raw material you use to make the food is locally source (in closer market) will not get you more profit, simply because you are doing exactly what others are doing. So what you need to simply do is find a location they sell them cheaper and ship them in.

I know this might look like another much work, but like I said earlier. I am talking to the category of people in business because you already buy in bulk or better still you can predict your use of this products. Not to talk of foodstuff seller you need this to be in business, so how to be more profitable even this year is to acquire this products cheaper.

If you think source from cheaper sources is difficult, simply start by checking your rice price, beans price, garri, oil, etc from another geography add delivery and compare. I bet you it might still be cheaper because some retailer you buy from too gets it from that source and region.

If you are looking for where to start from, check www.daydone.com.ng/products for your agric/food produce we are in Ibadan and with a good quantity of the order we deliver to any region all across the nation.

Questions About Poultry Association Of Nigeria Lamenting And The Cost Of Chicken

AgricultureQuestions About Poultry Association Of Nigeria Lamenting And The Cost Of Chicken by farmsupport(op): 2:39am On Nov 27, 2020
"
The Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) has warned that if some urgent steps are not taken by the federal government, the cost of chicken during the yuletide might be as high as N10,000 per unit

The association, in a press release made available to Blueprint stated that with the increase in feed prices especially soya beans and soya bean meal, the prices of eggs and chickens might go out of reach of many Nigerians.

The Chairperson of PAN, Ogun state Chapter, Blessing Alawode further requested the federal government to save Nigerian poultry industry from imminent collapse which the industry now faces as a result of unabated rising in the prices of bird feeds and concentrates used to feed chickens.

She explained that the feed inputs such as soya beans are going out of reach of an average poultry farmer with the price of the commodity now increased from N115,000 that was sold per ton in August to N215,000 in November, 2020, representing an increase of 86.95% within a four-month period.
"
First question coming to my mind is; Does the PAN have control on the price or they are just giving a rough calculation of what their member maybe experience. All member are not equal neither do they all have same capacity, so therefore the cost of their production will not be same.

Second question is; What is the goal of this press release to inform the public, or to get government attention. I think this is not just informative as the public are likely informed about the inflation rate of the nation

Third question is; Is this there alternative to this need? Yes even has many like and will prefer to go for chicken doing the festive season but this economics is certainly balanced by other things like local birds reared with no concentrate and many other form of meet

Food produces order to many have been a thing of short term important.

Even though the lockdown as show to us that it have to be better treated than that.
Why do many treat it this way?
Their can be many reasons for this;
- To some it is the money to acquire products,
- while to others it might be an already existing mindset,

Let us talk abit on the mindset reason. We think why buy much when I can be buying little by little. This mindset can be right for perishable, but for non perishable it is a total flaw.

Instead of buying rice, beans or tubers, in congos/small but in bags,
When we talk about bag doesn't necessarily me bags or a bag it can be quarter or half bag there is alot of difference doing this. As such purchase take you away from just been a final consumer to a retail consumer. This is where saving is done

What then can be the solution?
The leisure of getting Agric/Food items in good quantities and reduce cost per unit can be enjoy by everyone, you can simply buy together with others. Some cooperative and organizations also help to bring people together for this purpose.

And if you are looking for how or where to start with or reselling of produce or buying for your store either plant or animal produces, food or cash crops, simply email us info@daydone.com.ng or check www.daydone.com.ng

AgricultureWhy It Is More Profitable And Better To Start Raising Broilers By 6-8wks by farmsupport(op): 8:23pm On Oct 03, 2020
Poultry farming as been a profitable form of farming in Nigeria, even though it comes with so more risk especially for beginner who don’t know have experience raising birds especially broilers.
There is so many things that goes into raising chicks, that increase the risk of raising broilers that can be avoided especially for newbies,
1. It gives a good estimate of space needed for the raising: It is so easy to think that you need little space especially of first timers after receiving the chicks. But Note broilers take a lot of space and it is much more easy to determine this space and behavior when you get them around 2 kg
2. Draft usage: Bird in 6-8 wks does not require the use of draft, as they are not so susceptible to the weather and can be more easy to take care of, unlike chick which is advisable you keep in brooding temperature
3. Poultry house bedding: Has you seen birds in cartoon and on newspaper, that is because intensive care are still been administered to them, if you are not a professional you might not get all this right. Infact some 4wks broilers do feed on litter thinking it is food. But at an age like 8wks the chicken is more adaptable to its surrounding.
4. 6-8wks are trained already: Just like any animal birds to get trained as they mature, no constant need for light or high temperature at this stage and they wouldn’t unnecessarily mount on each other like chick could if there is no light
5. No ration calculation: At this stage of 2kg or above birds are not forced to a shift ration order, as for chicks for few days they have to talk a lot of water and less food all, this will not be a concern and worries if you get them in a later age. At 6-8wks you can just give them finisher and see the result of nature coming out of them

If you want to enjoy a stress free very overweight Christmas chicken, and you are not a professional farmer, who wants to be disturbed with space and constant birds checking up. While reducing the risk of mortality, I advise you go for 6-8wks broilers and if you are looking for a place to get that, no other place than www.daydone.com.ng as we are at your fingertip and we get all your needed Agric produces to your doorstep.
Thanks

FoodRe: Most Consumed Tuber In Nigeria by farmsupport(op): 3:51pm On Sep 22, 2020
Is yam getting abundant in your area?
FoodMost Consumed Tuber In Nigeria by farmsupport(op):
There are about 600 species of yams found around the world, most of them in the tropics. Some species of yam are cultivated for their edible tubers, for medicinal use, and for other uses. Yams remain an important food crop, especially in Africa, and some varieties can be stored for months without refrigeration.
In addition to addressing the physical needs of people—offering such nutrition as carbohydrates, protein, phosphorus, and potassium—yams also touch upon the human inner nature, bringing pleasure through their enjoyable taste and texture, and being central to various ceremonies related to their importance in traditional society of Africa
Today, West Africa produces over 90 percent of the world's yam crop, with Nigeria the largest grower. (CGAIR 2006)

Yams are widespread in the humid tropics throughout the world and in a wide variety of species. Of White Guinea yam: The white yam originates in West Africa, however, without a wild variety being known of it is the most important variety of yam cultivated for human nutrition not only in this region, but throughout the world.
Water yam: Most widespread, but not of the greatest economic status, is the water yam. The water yam, with the white yam, is the most important variety of yam cultivated in West Africa today.
Yellow yam: The yellow yam is native to West Africa where wild varieties also exist. The appearance of the yellow yam is very similar to that of the white yam, although, the yellow yam has a longer period of vegetation and shorter dormancy than the white yam. Most people also believe that yellow yam is the sweetest amongst all.

Yam Recipes
Yams can be fried, boiled, roasted, pounded or mashed to make a variety of recipes native to all parts of Nigeria. The following are recipes derived from Yam:
Amala: A fufu meal derived from yam powder. This meal is served with various Nigerian soups.
Pounded Yam: This is prepared by boiling diced yam and pounding it in a mortar with pestle. Recently, there are electronic yam pounders available. Pounded Yam can be eaten with any of the Nigerian Soups.
Yam & Vegetable: This is a special delicacy of yam cut into small cubes and boiled then mixed with lots of green vegetables. It is a very nutritious and healthy meal.
Yam porridge or Asaro:If you want a delicious yam meal without the added vegetables, then this is the yam recipe to go for.
Dun Dun (Fried Yam): This is basically yam cut in various chip shapes and deep fried. It can be eaten with omelette, fried eggs, pepper sauce or tomato stew.
Roasted Yam: This is barbecued yam eaten with pepper sauce. Always yummy.
Ji Mmanu (Palm Oil Yam): This is simply boiled white yam served with palm oil

You might want to buy white yam or yellow yam, they are the tastiest of them all. Carry all visual inspection before buying any kind of yam. Gently press all parts of the tuber making sure it is all firm and strong. Any soft part at all is any indication that the yam is getting spoil. To purchase any kind of yam of premium quality and quantity and have them delivered to your door step at an affordable price. Visit www.daydone.com.ng and place your order!!!

My thought are
- Is this a bubble or inflation is actually picking up?
- Is this astronomical height of Rice especially something to expect to come down?
- Or is the minimum wage changed the goal post for the height the produce have to reach?
- Is this coming down soon after reaching a peak?
- What should we expect this coming festive season?

My Final thoughts; as we know that agricultural products are essential necessity for the bubble to burst they might need to be an intervention, either by the consumer or government and by the consumer which other alternative to they have. Another product on the agric ecommerce platform which amazes me is the cost of the banned imported rice which is almost same with our own one local produced Nigeria Rice.

As the CBN has granted 4 company to import maize and soybean will this act continue even as the “grow what you eat policy” getting out of hand
