oscarsam: lecturers that has already enrolled in the IPPIS have not been paid.
Now the conditions for considering UTA's are yet to be publicly known.
it's not like am supporting this ASUU strike but what I still don't understand is the reason(s) why this present government tends to neglect the needs of education by not in any way coming to a favourable terms with ASUU.
all this while that IPPIS was introduced and ASUU has been kicking against it, the federal government has only made their intentions known which is "it's either ASUU enrols to IPPIS or forget about being paid". don't know why am having feelings this could be a long strike Why wouldn't they when all their wards schooled overseas. Nigerians are foolish... We entertain lots of foolery |

HacheNoire: Bitter truth.
It's glaring Democracy can *NEVER" achieve what the military achieved.
What runs our economy today where the buildings, foundation and ideas of past military regime. Virtually nothing new is coming to the table outside massive looting in all sectors which is inspired by democracy.
Yes, their was looting during the military but it was within caucuses loyal to the Head of State. In Democracy, every arm of it is a self made looting machine. Did you consider the fact that during the military era, Nigeria was less populous and was the richest in Africa? |
Crime › Re: Fulani Herdsmen Attack Kwande, Benue. Kill 5, Injure Others (Graphic Photos) by Fash20: 11:13pm On Mar 04, 2020 |
tsephanyah: Thought and prayers. RIP
RUGA is the solution
Since the return to democracy in 1999, Nigeria has been grappling with diverse security challenges, chief among them are insurgency, election violence, kidnapping and most recently, the herder-farmer conflicts among others. The north central states of Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa and other states have experienced conflicts that led to thousands of deaths and displacements as a result of clashes between pastoralists (herders) and local farmers in several communities. In January 2018 alone, Amnesty International reports indicate that 168 people were killed as a result of herdsmen-farmer clashes.1
Struggle over grazing land and scarce resources have over the years resulted in perennial and growing violent conflicts in terms of frequency, intensity and geographic scope. Underpinning the escalation in frequency of conflicts in Nigeria is a confluence of environmental and demographic forces, especially desertification caused by climate change and population explosion. Expectedly, with the depletion of arable land for subsistence farming largely as a result of increasing urbanisation and the adverse effect of climate change, especially along the Lake Chad basin, there is increased struggle between herdsmen and farmers – leading to violent confrontations and conflicts, deaths and forced displacement, as well as the destruction of agriculture and livestock. When will you have sense? |

Firstnebo: The Bible is not physical enough for you? Or the increase in diseases and earthquakes in this our time as prophesied by the Bible is not physical enough for you? And the proliferation of dubious religious organisations as prophesied by the Bible for our time nko?
The fact that a former community that used to sacrifice their twins decided to change that tradition because of learning additional things about God from the Bible, is it physical enough for you?
Or are you still doubting because God exists in a form that cannot be directly seen by men? Have you seen the air before? Why do you believe it exists? Increase in diseases... If you know how many disease humanity has already conquered you wouldn't be say that. |
