Priority for now is fighting that considering the treats. This top enemies currently use weapons, which the state only needs to motivate and ensure support for security operatives should the need arise in form of air,logistics and boots on-group quickly. Running a normal jet will drain alot much more. The plane in question is design to survive such small combat operations at minimal cost. We are not fighting an advanced modernised armed country at the moment.
Our treat now needs intelligence and fast paced deployment to respond at a moment notice. Not buying big jets like say we are going to fight war with a stronger nation.

Nigerian airforce is very poor. Lives of soldiers have wasted due to inadequacy of the air force. Plus the fact you cannot order for fighter jets anywhere in the World and get them the next day. It's not possible, it takes four, five, 10 years.

That's why serious countries that are not in state of war place order for as large as 100 fighter jets in peace time because it will not be easy in war time. E.g Egypt place order for 24 rafale jets, Turkey place order for 100 f35 jets. These are newest fighter jets.
More reasons why we will continue to blame past leaders. The alpher jets Nigeria is using is no longer available, no country is using it consequently no availability of spare parts for maintenance.

That aircraft called propeller is what Nigeria can get and unfortunately, it should be the most modern in Nigerian air force fleets.

If our government can invest in the citizens, I bet you in less than 30 years we will be building ours. Iran that's been under sanctions for ages are building jet power crafts
