They already sold the darn thing while I was still asking questions. I'm currently looking at a Mazda minivan 2015. I think I can weather the stigma of driving a minivan considering the great condition this one is in. I'm still debating between the Mazda and a 2012 Murano. Poor indecisive me. The Murano is cheaper by roughly $800. Also, with the Vue, I think GM already discontinued the nameplate, so the parts might be scarce even stateside.

The parts is readily available in Lagos, but pricey though..... Sometimes i order from ebay, the parts is interchangable with Chevrolet Captiva or Opel Antara, And also uses ford parts too....

Its a sweet ride with no issues, and set me apart from other users... the Fuel economy with its ecotec engine is top notch

Get it but remember their parts are so expensive and sometimes requires to be ordered.... One of my cars is a GM brand (Saturn Vue 2009) the parts are really expensive

My dream car is range rover, i have never made enough money to buy one but i intend to buy one Nigeria used before the end of the year, budget 2m.
I don't really care that people have moved on to other brands because I don't have crowd mentality.

Our private hospitals are cheap and also if you key into health insurance, you will benefit a lot

it is common sense! FG should hands off Tertiary Education, let the school determine its pay and also pay its lecturers. ASUU should be funded by students fees that will eradicate strikes in the sector! It is not being an hypocrite it is the right thing Government should do. They are different types of vessels

2. Container ship
3. Bulk carrier
4. Crude carrier
5. Gas Ship (LNG)
6. Oil tankers

You can Google each of them to get an insight on what they do

I work onboard offshore vessels, that's why I'm gonna narrow my explanation on this type of vessels

We have vessels which provides vital services to offshore installations which include

1. AHTS - Anchor Handling and Towing vessel
2. ASD Tugs - Azimuth Stern Drive tugs
3. DSV - Diving support Vessel
4. PSV - Platform Supply Vessel
5. Seismic Vessels
6.Pipe Laying vessels

The above mentioned vessels are all available in Nigeria carrying out services for IOCs

Though I've only worked on AHTS, ASD Tugs even though other vessels are of the same configuration but they perform different tasks

The duty of AHTS and ASD tug is for static towing

Onboard a ship, we have ratings and officers and it has two departments

The Captain is the overall, that's why he's also called the master but the certification of the captain and Chief Engineer is the same

UAE are paying seafarers (Second engineers in Nigeria with DP earns 1.3million per month while in UAE you are paid about 2.3million per month) more than Indigenous maritime companies in Nigeria and lot of my mates are leaving for a more better salary and benefits, so what are you gonna say about this too? I was about buying used AC but I've decided on holding on to raise money and buy brand new energy saving but efficient unit.

Inverter - This type of AC uses single rotor compressor which requires high speed rotation thereby more vibration and noise during operation at full capacity, though its energy efficient (It takes time to cool the room)

Dual Inverter AC - This type uses two rotor compressor and moves at 180 degree phase angle (This means it provides faster cooling, reduced noise levels, high energy savings, and shorter wait time with greater stability than normal inverter AC)

it is more expensive than the Inverter AC

In a nutshell: Its just like a car with a single cell radiator and a double cell radiator... Which car go get more cooling effect pass?

Genpal: It just a trademark name used by these brands to tell you that it is generator friendly even with the smallest generator

Thanks to the professionals in the house. I just came across this thread.

I bought a brand new nexus 1hp non inverter split AC which served me very well for 2 years.

Recently it would cool for 10 minutes and the compressor will shut off but the fan will keep blowing warm air and after let’s say 20 minutes it would display EC on the board and stop working completely . At times the Stabilizer would trip off on its own.

I called a technician who changed the capacitor and everything went back to normal . It worked for 4 months.

Now the problem is back. The compressor shuts down after cooling for 10 minutes and the EC error comes up again.

Please what could be the problem as I am fed up ?

Your AC has a leakage of refrigerant, get a good technician that has leak detector tools to check for leakage and braze affected point.... Most of these AC doesnt come with 100% copper coil tubings and hence the material fails and you start having issues with leakages

if there's no leakages, then either your indoor or outdoor PCB is bad

Panasonic, Carrier and Friedrich remains the best in Air conditioning

LG might be considered.... but anything with Nexus, Hisense their tubing are alloy (Aluminum with copper)

I have been following your thread keenly and i love technicians who works with modern tools peculiar to their job scope, Well i have a Saturn vue 2009 SUV and during the course of scanning my car, I got the P0532 code which points to the refrigerant pressure sensor, The issue here is that the car AC is not really effective during the day (Like extremely hot weather) but its ice cold in the evening, So i just took delivery of the Pressure sensor from ebay

Note: I've taken the car to AC technicians and all of 'em are talking about leakage and one I.diot even suggested to change compressor lol

That is why i had to check on Youtube for a possible solution and lot of videos on the P0532 suggested a pressure sensor replacement and how to change it

Now, the issue now i don't want to lose refrigerant while trying to change this sensor neither do i have vacuum pump to pump down the gas before changing, i want to know if this model of cars (GM brand) have Schrader valve before the sensor (probably you have worked on such cars before)

Hello Auto experts in the house. My Honda 2009 has difficulty in starting especially when the engine is very cold. I was told it was a failing fuel pump.

I changed the fuel pump yesterday n the problem still persist. Its that bad that when u park for just 5 mins, u will have to start it between 3 to 5 times before it will start.

My local kazeem told me it might be the ECT sensor.

I need advice before it will spoil my kick starter.
