Yeah this is what I'm using.... It powers my inverter washing machine, TV, 3 Ceiling fans and other socket outlets for laptops and charging of phones.....

Though I put off my chest freezer while using the washing machine

My Valve was leaking hence needed grinding to seal it off - Spent N300
Mobil Oil - 1800
Workmanship - 3000

Cos the repairer came home to work on the generator

I would advise you to get Motor ticket since you've done the sea time.... At least with UK motor ticket you are sure of a good job offer onboard offshore vessels here in Nigeria

Offshore vessel jobs is flexible and gives you more time with your family also

This generator has been SMOKing recently so i have to use the other generator. It works fine but the smoking is really terrible.
I called an engineer and he said i need 25 000 naira to re ring it but another engineer i called said re ringing is 5 000 naira
Which one of them is saying the truth because i dont want to waste money

If it's bringing out too much smoke.... Then your scraper ring is gone..... You need to change your piston assy entirely and getting an Original Piston Firman could cost you about 5-6k

What DPVM,CoC?

DPVM - Dynamic Positioning Vessel Maintenance - It's a course for ETO, Marine Engineers and Technical personnel onboard ship or FPSO

It cost about N1.1million @ Charkin PH for 5 days

While CoC - Is a license given to Engineers or Deck Officers (Just like ICAN for accountant)

It's of different stages (Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3) You must have completed 24 -36 months experience on each rank to write the exams with Oral Interview to be given the license

(sadly Nigerian CoC is not really recognised outside, even Some companies in Nigeria prefer Ghanaian or foreign CoC to be considered for a job offer)

Right now the dollar to Pound rate is mad and you gonna need an Estimate of 10-12 million naira for ETO course in the UK

Or your best bet is Ghana , at least with 4-5 million can get you the CoC
