If yes ... Don't we have competent Captains , some with Class 1 UK unlimited License who have manned Bigger vessels... We have more than 200 Nigerians with such capacity

What of Chief engineers? We have more than 500 Nigerians with great experience and competency

Our own indigenous maritime companies like Homeland, Tamrose, Starzs, Temile, Arawatise all their vessels are 100% manned by Nigerians

But your own FG boats and jobs are been manned by foreigners especially pilotage services.. Does it makes sense?

Especially a fully Nigerian-flagged vessel... Gosh

Because Nigerian accepts lower pay than their counterparts...hence companies/Organisation tends to employ them to cut cost

But here in Nigeria is different.... Foreigners are paid higher salary when even the locals are even ready to accept twice lower than their salary....

We have lot of competent captains and Engineers looking for jobs

And this is a tug boats for pilotage and handled by NPA

Are we supposed to employ foreigners for a government job?

Competent Nigerians are Manning DSVs, PSVs, AHTS as Captain and Chief Engineer and these boats are 10x bigger in capacity than these tug boats been manned by foreigners
