There are three types of coil you can find in a generator.

1. Copper Coil
THE COIL
As we all know, generators comes with a coil, whether small or big generator. For original generator, its coil are made of copper. To know if the coil is fake or original, you will need to rob your hands on the body of the coil, if your hands are stain, then its a fake coil.

Also check if the coil are well rolled inside the engine, if the coil is not rolled well, then the engine has been tempered with. But if you notice that while after robbing your hand on the coil and there was no stain, together with the coil been rolled well into the engine, then the product is original.

2. Aluminium Coil
The wire coil for the aluminium comes in a silver shiny color.

3. THE BRASS
The brass comes in gold color and are weaker. Avoid buying generators with weaker brass coil.

THE ENGRAVED NAME ON THE BODY OF THE GENERATOR
The brand name for an original generator will be written on all parts of the generator and engraved as on the fuel tank, engine block, cylinder cover, carburetor etc.
