Pascal9:I tire oh. They all want cheap and easy way out but will line up in elections n vote based on ethic n religion lines |
MajorOvakporaye:Nigeria is not a sinking ship rather a blessed country with valuable minerals. Only we have leaders that steal resources so we should unit and demand for better leaders to occupy position. Look at Abia state for an example. Running away to foreign land is not guaranteed unless you are offered a COS by a reputable organisation other than that it's not easy out there |
yarimo:You are an enemy to the people. Enemy of prosperity.. |
iLoveYouToo:Pump 50m dollars or max 200m. That won't cure the problem. Pump as much as possible or just Clear all request done through banks. When you pick up a mastercard and wants to buy items online it should go. When you want to pay for services online... It should go. Buy goods from China... It should go or we deal on currency swap with them The bottom line is tinubu and Buhari mismanaged our economy.. Before in 2006,2003 etc dollar was not a problem. Why now Was that how it used to be before. |
Segzy19:When government stopped selling dollars to banks for almost 2 years did BDC not flowrish?
|
HarunaWest:BDC gets their dollars through remittance and other sources. It you doubt me let government stopped selling dollars to the bank as Buhari did in 2021/2022 and see if BDC won't still flowrish. Soon you will blame market woman and call them greedy because things are expensive. Tinubu n Buhari dabaru our economy... Fact
|
iLoveYouToo:First you should know that we are in a democracy and in all sane countries I see exchangers exchanging different currency. Previously government do supply BDC which was the usual practice before they stopped it during Buhari period. Then even stop selling to banks, BDC all together. Banks were asked to source for dollars themselves. But even at then.. BDC still got their dollars through various means and even where the ones supplying banks at that time. Right now, do you know that there is no pounds in any bank? Even in black market no pounds as at today. Expect pounds to hit 2300 soon. Then blame BDC. The problem is APC, they mismanaged the economy.
|
mod9:So because tinubu failed in simple governance they should arrest and jail anyone found with dollar. Then what should be done to tinubu that brought Buhari together they jointly destroy the beauty economy we have
|
BABAawoo47:When government stopped selling dollars to bank for almost 2 years... Was there any time aboki stop selling dollars? Okay why not pay for goods and services abroad instead of giving physical cash |
The government should service all valid dollar request through the bsnk and no one will go to aboki again. But not clearing genuine requests of dollars and still wondering why it's increasing in black market is what I don't know. Traders, importers etc all get their dollar from aboki that's fact |
cmaduesi:With the current black market rate? 35m but official ukvi 33.5m Which school is that? St John at York? |
tollyboy5:If you have pounds.. Bring it out and sell 500 or below. The same way u reasonning why does government allow market womem to allow garri n foodstuffs to be going higher |
Backpedal:Show me the link to ukvi website that suggests or says Nigerians make use of funds that's not theirs |
May or have started Tinubu the city boy built Lagos but e reach time to take build Nigeria cement come cost |
justwise:On june 30th/ August tinubu "Unified" exchange rate... A term he used to relived subsidy from the naira. At the end of June 58,680 in year ending June 2023 where granted VISA . And the rate they used was cbn rate of 565/570. Meaning if your school fees was 14000 pounds with just 8 million you will pay 100% everything. After June everything went up to over 100% and September/October it went up to 1300 per pounds. And gradually it hits 1800 pounds meaning that you will need about 25m as against 8m for just school fees and you will need 18m for living expenses. So while those (58 thousand Nigerians) who were granted visa and landed in UK before the unification of Naira (devaluation) and started seeing the news that naira has been devalued. Still put their hope on form A, left money in the bank and all that. What would you advised them to do? Return back to Nigeria? Finally do you have any statistical record from the UKVI that suggest that Nigerians use funds not belonging to them? Or you just summarise that from your head.
|
Backpedal:How. Could anyone have foretold that naira will be exchange at 2000+ to pounds No one could have predicted that the naira will depreciated this bad.. If anyone had told me that cement will be sold at 10500 naira today I wouldn't have believed It. Before I left Nigeria self it was 4600 I got it. I am hearing garri is 2000 per paint. So same way all this magic is happening over there in Nigeria same way students are feeling the heat here... We should show sympathy not the other way round |
Backpedal:If everyone around you lies then that's up to you. How can you pay your school fees in full with 2023 directive from CBN? Are u in Nigeria at all or u landed from the moon? A lot of people got their admission 2022 November down to early 2023 paid their first deposit using form A. Got their visa instantly waited till August/September before landing UK cos u can't leave except a month to your school resumption. Most people couldn't pay all their fees cos early last year, banks only processed halve of what students wanted to pay as deposits then later it was reduced even further in some banks. And you have to wait for another 6 months before initiating another form A once the first has been processed I got my admission in February 2023. People left funds in banks hoping to get it converted to pounds through form A but gradually the pounds went high within just 3 months. People just had to wait if things will return back to normal. But you can see where it has gone to. Pounds is now 2000+. Will you now just return back to Nigeria after spending huge amount of money or to find a way to resolve it |
Backpedal:Do you know that a lot of people got their visa granted when pounds was 565? That's they were expected to have at least 13m in account but by the time they got to ul the exchange rate had gone to 1300 and now it's now 2000 meaning 22k at 13m is now 22k at 41m. Where do you expect they get the reminder from to make up |
Thewritingnerd: are you in the UK? Let me askAnd if yes are you a student? Because I am in the UK and I am a student. Like I said who wears the shoe knows where it's hurt. Lots of school are sending students away due to economic hardship. From Scotland to England most had given February as last date else they withdraw your CAS. Even before now lost are doing more than 20...still de collect pst As in many. Can you even pay your bills with 20? Nigas weh de sell 2k monthly for school forums na 20 give them? SO LIKE someone said this is public forum.. No be everything I go vomit or argue with u so rest. |
BRAINNY:I asked again.... Between school sending you home without a certificate and you having your MSc Certificate home which one do you prefer. Since naira deviation... Pounds is now 1800.. Then it's best you work our way out or you get sent back by your school. Please reasom both ways... Until you are in his shoes you won't see any sense in what I said. |
Thewritingnerd:Abi you will give him the rest fees especially now that pounds is going up everyday? Or you want to see him thrown out school? Am here I know watin de happen. Not easy as you think. |
Phenmeson:Which bank statement... Do you know how many people where issued visa before June at 570 exchange rate? Then after june/July exchange rate went to 1400 per pounds and today it is 1800 |
Why benchmark with dollar.. |
williams20:That's what you should say.... 20 hours weh never do for house rent, gas and electricity... |
heykims:You know where it hurts you when you out on the shoe abi? By the time school starts sending you exclusive mail no be person go tell you to do what others are doing. ? Common sense is not too common. But the main koko be say it's even hard to get the job now.. The person you quoted is an agent for bpp uni... Ask him how the peps that came to him to bpp where able to pay their bills without dependant |
williams20: see them coming with loads of attack. But my messages has sank into the head of the person I am referring to. |
justwise:Our educational expert has arrived ![]() If he gets stranded now.. You will be the one to lay courses his both the living and dead in his family. |
abuhusna1:Well I don't know much about stocks and it's laws in the UK. But I will tell him boldly to work menial jobs like cleaning, care assistant , security, etc more than 20 hours if he sees.. |

Born2conquer:Good. Even 20m no reach bro. You need to check care homes. If money de find one certification course do. If care give u 20 hours, certification job gives u 20hrs. Counterbalance, sia etc. All I wrote is not easy. It's take miracle to land a job in major cities now Walahi. After seeing a Nigerian born here giving testimony for after getting a job in church then I know say... |
justwise:Am showing you one of your beneficiaries. If anything goes wrong then we are going to hold you accountable Here is another here https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/international-bcu-student-with-just-28462197 |
