A parent recently moved to the UK, studying Sept 23 session while the dependant child still in Nigeria. Come Jan 24 and after, can the child still be granted visa or it has to be before January?
Or the changes affect only those whose academic session starts Jan 24

7750 + 9207 (if your school is outside London).
Add 1000 pounds to give room for fluctuations. Use oanda to convert to Naira.

57,800, no additional payment, just take your proof of payment with you along with your international passport. You’ll get your results that same day if you finish your test early enough, say by 11.

Yes many people here have tried manual booking and it worked. You won’t be tested that day, just given a date.
Make payment after getting a date. Transfer to the account, print payment receipt and take along with you on your test date.

Yes you can. I spoke to their customer care,Their transaction limit is $10k so as long as your payment is not up to that, then you’re good. You also need to verify if your school accepts payment by MasterCard, they use the same platform ie. if your school doesn’t accept payment by MasterCard, the virtual card by barter will not work. Also their rates are not CBN rates o, so check if you can afford it. Payment is instant, unlike Form A.

It’s been a long and bumpy journey but God has been good to me.
Applied for a visiting visa and got denied in October 2021 for lack of evidence of sources of funds and travel history.
Started the student visa process immediately with hopes of japa-ing in January.
I’m a third class holder and didn’t want premasters because of the funds involved so I started applying to different schools, Coventry was the first to give me admission but the fees was just too high. Oxford Brooke’s followed with Birmingham city uni and I chose Oxford Brooke’s because it was direct masters for management in health and social care with 13,900 tuition fees. Paid the tuition deposit and then they refused me cas because I declared my previous visa refusal to their Isat, they said they were afraid I will get another refusal. I was so devastated cos at the them they did this, I had already missed Coventry’s deadline(Dec 18th). I already had my tb test result and had to start all over applying to schools and looking for Jan start. I eventually got University of west London and sunderland the same time. Sunderland also refused me cas because of my previous visa refusal. I had to go UWL even with the 10k deposit required. Did their precas interview and passed but they too denied me cas because of my previous visa refusal! At this point I didn’t know what to do again, time was going, pof was ready and only cas remained. I now sent them a very lengthy mail explaining myself and situation that moved them and they offered me a deferment instead to June as I wasn’t going to be able to make January start when they responded. They gave me a new offer and issued my cas on the 9th of April.
Biometrics was on the 11th of April
1st paid mail 11th of may, no decision made
Got slammed with NSF mail requesting nothing on the 13th of May
Second paid mail 17th of May no decision
Third paid mail 24th of may, decision made
Application transferred to VAC on the 26th of May
Collection mail same 26th
Picked up today
Tls-VI
Documents submitted: cas, pof, waec certificate, passport data page and bsc certificate(self service).
5years study gap.

Follow up with calls and emails, most of these schools are dealing with large volume of applications, so just follow up on them.

Please Guys Urgent One !! If for instance on the UKVI visa application you were asked for your course Fees, let’s say for instance ur course fees is 15,100pounds and you were offered a scholarship of 3000 pounds, what should you put in the box asking for your school fees? should one put 15,100 or 12100( removing the scholarship fee from it) Although my CAS was issued before the scholarship, it has now been adjusted but I am still confuse of what to indicate on the UKVI visa application

Is there any evidence of the scholarship? Like a letter or mail or something? Send a mail to your school, your CAS should capture this.

It depends on the school and course, but from observation, mid may is quite late because most schools have been choked with applications this year. Aside from getting admission, there are other procedures like POF, visa application etc which requires time. You might not meet up in time for resumption. You can target January, others can advise

Good afternoon house! I finally received a conditional offer at university of Stirling ! Meanwhile among the conditions is about IELTS Academic 6.5 with 5.5 minimum in each skill or equivalent. Plz I want to know what maybe an alternative for this IELTS stuffs. Secondly about the
receipt of your first (undergraduate) degree certificate which matches the transcript already uploaded and confirms that you have met our entrance requirements. A confirmation of completion or eligibility for graduation may suffice. I think they want my major first degree certificate becuz I submitted my application with notifications of result! Plz I need more light on this two conditions as the main things to meet up. Thank you for your contribution.

For the English Proficiency, you can send them a mail stating that your first degree was taught in English, if you have a letter of English Proficiency from your school/department, send as well. Or send your WAEC result if you had at least C6 in English.
For the second one, it’s obvious, send your degree certificate. If you’re yet to receive it, let them know and state the reason why, like ASUU strike or you just recently graduated and your school is yet to issue your certificate.

Yes, it matters. The TB test lasts 6 months, so if he’s not traveling with you and it expires before he applies for visa, then it’s a waste of time and money.

Confirm if applications are still open. I have friends in Salford and the school is choked with applications and have closed application for September entry for most of their courses. So send a mail to the Admissions Team to confirm.

Has anyone been able to have a successful online booking for lagos medical since this last week.
I have even made 4 unsuccesssful attempts around 3 am in the dead of the night night but still getting this error and the option of physically booking date ( July 12) is just too far me

If you went to their office and July 12 is the closest date they gave you, it might be difficult to get a closer date online. Your options are to either take the date like that or go back to their office and plead for a closer date.
Another option is to traveling to Abuja, the crowds are lesser there.
