Thebadpolitican:

lol, are you aware that during the colonial Era when indirect rule system was still in use the Oba of benin ment up with the ooni of ife for a political alliance with the Edo people and the then ooni of ife agreed to the political alliance with the edos and the Oba of benin would be regarded as one of the sons of oduduwa, the Oba of benin wasn't bothered about the cultural status he was in the new political alliance as a son of oduduwa and a false conjugated history was form for a cultural alliance the oromiyan history you're making reference to now was formed, hell broke loose when the edos were later becoming maltreated and oppressed in the western region, the yoruba leaders accusing the Oba of benin as not a true son of oduduwa and the position he occupied in the western leadership wasn't deserved, and there was a need for the Edo people to pull away from the western region..... Please are you aware there is no yoruba idol in the Oba palace only edo idols, no yoruba names in the palace too, the name oba, is a benin original word that was introduced to yoruba people due to the bemin military might the Edo people had on the entire Yoruba people before colonial Era, the full title is called "omo n oba nedo" not just oba of benin the yorubas kings infact until 1930 were still addressed by the British as sir as their title until they changed it in 1930 to oba and the ooni then was the first person to attempt such move from sir the British refred them as to oba and the rest yoruba monarch followed suit afterwards "I repeat there was never a real oromiyan in benin"
Why are you advertising your ignorance? Youruba had been using Oba while you knew only Ogiso. Oranmiyan introduced obaship to Benin. One thing you should know about history, they're always altered to suit new conquest. Rather than tell you Oba came from Ife, you would be told your ancestor went to Ife and then returned. Look at it, that's the only way the Oba could be truly safe. No king anywhere tells his subject, I came from distant or near land, conquered you and became your king. The has to change to what you'd be proud of. The intelligent question you should have asked, if Iwodo was the 30th Ogiso, when his purpoted grandson Oranmiyan returned, why was he not crowned the 31st Ogiso and Eweka, the 32nd Ogiso? Instead, Oranmiyan became the 1st Oba, Eweka the 2nd Oba. If the change in nomenclature means nothing to you, then you're not intelligent enough to talk about history. Lastly, did Ogiso have tittles like "Iya Ogiso?" A new tittle, Iya Oba, came into Benin the way it's done where Oba came from.

You are mad because Oshodi tapa is in a family line I know, so I know. This Igala person that wrote this is on drugs.
Oshodi of Benin predates Oshodi Tapa of Lagos by a number of centuries. However, there's probably a historical connection. The third is the founder of central Nupe Kingdom, a warrior king who expanded the kingdom much further. He was actually an Igala prince of Nupe mother, known in history as Tsoede, the name metamorphosed into Oshodi.

A candidate that didn't believe in your party and only printed his first poster after seeing the results of the presidential election that you're usable is only using you, he doesn't believe you. Look further.

there are two candidates from LP vying, with posters out at the moment and it's the other guy Adebayo that was published by INEC. Have bothered to look at the CVs of other candidates?

Funny enough Desmond Eliot was the only APC candidate the won my polling unit in 2015

Politics / Lagos State House Of Assembly, Surulere 2023 Election- Who Wins? by fatiaforreal: 12:38pm On Mar 14, 2023
Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency 1, 2023 election seems to be a three horse race in terms of visibility. They are
1) Desmond Elliot (APC)
2) Sulaimon Thompson (PDP)
3) Olalekan Oshodi (SDP)
About a week ago, a fourth candidate joined the race
4) Olumide Owuro (LP) or Adebayo (LP as published by INEC)
If you're conversant with Surulere 1, let's discuss objectively without insults please. This promises to be one of the most interesting elections come Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Thanks for shedding light on this. That's why I laugh when people complain about government. We have devils everywhere, much worse than those in government. You can imagine, they changed website and could not seamlessly transfer applicants. Many are waiting in vain because all they laboured to submit on the previous portal have gone down the drain, you can't re-submit but can only re-apply. Is that not wicked? The implication is that you're waiting for approval from cbn whereas cbn does not even have your record or application. It is well. God will reward us all.

It's been so quiet here and it seems the programme has ended somehow.
Those who have worked diligently for the success of this programme, from the lowest to the highest cadre, from EDI to NIRSAL, through to CBN, may the Almighty reward you abundantly. As for those of you who have subverted the good programme through corruption, poor attitudes to work, and sabotage, may you experience same in EVERYTHING you consider important in life.

It differs slightly from mine even though they said they will forward it to NIRSAL they didn't. May be it was because we are among the 1st set to use the portal some functions where not ready at that time. Wish you luck
Maybe. Thanks.
How long does it take to get account opened after submission of forms and deposit? How far reaching is the recommendation made after the interview on the approval from CBN or none at all?

Same idiots commenting here ostracize igbos who become Muslims in the East, and they come here talking about tolerance. There are Igbo Muslims if only you could be half as tolerant as Hausa Muslims.
