Bookhub:Oga please no try am. It is not advisable. If you have opportunity of marrying earlier probably before attaining 30 say 25 or thereabout do it. Retirement age is 60 years. At 70 you will be using retirement and pension money to train your children. Before 60, endure your last child had graduated or married so you can reap the fruits of your labour. Also don't embark on high capital intensive projects with your pension. The pathetic situation painted by the OP is a sad reality of what men suffer at old age when the children kept their mum away from the husband and wife turned vindictive to punish the husband for spousal occasional misbehavior at early point of marriage even though positive events must have overtaken the past lifestyle. Women tends to be selfish at old age. |
nikky5:Talk to a Builder to prepare bill of Estimate for you. It will to show quantity of different building materials needed with cost of each and workmanship or labour cost. This will serve as a guide as to how much you will spend on foundation. They can prepare another one for you for construction to lintel level etcetera etcetera. |
Onegai:Absolutely true. In marriage someone has to work extra hard to keep the marriage bond strong and going. The stronger one may be the husband or the wife. You know what it doesn't have to be 50-50 thing, it may be 60-40 even 70-30. I am not talking about sharing of the bills. I am talking about the sacrifice, commitment and level of work the stronger one will make to keep the marriage afloat. When a one party is looking for 50-50 proportionality in making a home stand strong. You are bound to meet disappointment. We are not equally built. So, we have different level of tolerance, endurance, resilience, giving spirit, large heart and accommodating others etcetera etcetera. Let each person identify its areas of strength to complement the other in making marriage work. There is no 100% compatibility for 2 people raised from different home without homologous value systems, upbringing and orientation. |

samwheel:Nigeria has just 4 refineries that have been in comatose and undergoing turnaround maintenance that will not end anytime soon. Billions of naira are been allocated yearly for this maintenance and salary of idle staff are paid with no job done. The government of the day is deceiving Nigerians and inflicting more pain on a daily basis with harsh economic reforms that is not making life unbearable for the citizens. |
ijustdey:He is absolutely correct. Dangote investment into petroleum products refining is to make profit and generate adequate return on investment for its shareholders and reduce the pay back period for its loan. With the sourcing of crude locally, given the costing template I saw them projected, the cost per litre is below #400. All other costs such as freight, insurance, depot fee, warehousing fee etc that are peculiar to imported fuel are irrelevant costs but are added to level up to equate local production with imported fuel. However, the system gave him the opportunity to manipulate price now and in the future because he is a sole producer. There is no other local refinery even government refineries that we can use to compare price have refused to be operational for years. The general masses are price takers without alternative in a monopolistic market unless the importers resume importation with a cheaper and competitive price. However, if imported fuel is cheaper, expect 2 things Dangote will start demarketing of the quality of the imported fuel as inferior or he will start selling to neighbouring countries even when local consumption is higher than imported fuel. He is a shrewd business man with capitalist ideology or orientation. The solution is for 2 or more investors to venture into local refining of crude to make the price competitive. |
Ofunaofu:The question is Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Venezuela, Kuwait and other oil producing countries abandoning a cheaper source of energy for an expensive one. Even America has gas station for both fuel and gas, also charging stations for electric cars depending on the type of car you are using. This fire brigade solution of compulsory conversion of buses to CNG is not the solution. The government should make fuel available and affordable to the citizens. We are a producer nation for God sake. |

John Chukwu is a great comedian during his life time. I can't forget one of his joke wherein he used his initial JC to crack a joke. He talks about great people that had graced the surface of the earth. He started by listing them with their brief history as Julius Caesar, Jimmy Cliff, President Jimmy Carter, Jesus Christ and lastly he mentioned himself John Chukwu as one of the great men with JC as the initial. He also has a night club called Klass at Awolowo way, Ikeja. May the Lord rest his soul. |
adenigga:The approval or granting of the loan facility is the reason behind the harsh and inhumane policies Tinubu embark upon in the last 15 months. The conditionalities is to destroy your economy and render the people poorer. The irony of it all is that the politician will share the loan granted and will not use it for the intended purpose. |
Ceooooll:He had appeased the gods. Don't be surprised if the case is strike out for lack of diligent prosecution or ok on technical ground. The past 6 months of hiding is to cook his innocence spiritually before the law. |
This guy is a daft and a worst comedian that has graced the surface of this earth. How many years did Umar Yah Adua used as President before the cold hands of death snatch him away. He is a clueless and less intelligent President who cannot make any positive impact even when left for 10 years. Tinubu is disconnected from the masses hence he seems unaware of the pain and agony his economic policies are causing Nigerians. He doesn't think before he act, also arrogant to make adjustments to rectify his mistakes. We don't deserve a leader like that please. |
babz11:The succession to the throne is through queuing system unlike in other town or city using rotation by different ruling families. Title chiefs wait on queue and get promoted along the line until you get to be next in line to the throne. The system though devoid of rancour or fighting among title holders make almost the next king always very old at ascension. It is an agelong practice that is difficult to review. |
guobe:I am interested Guobe of life. It will sort out my immediate cash need for today. Thank you. |
Sofialuv:The guyman is trying to expand his fucking harem. So, there is no lady in your line of profession or perhaps you are a native or traditional doctor. |
Bobloco:The stealing and looting of our common wealth under the guise of turn around maintenance continues from one government to another. This is a refinery built in 1957/58. It is outdated and aged seriously. Government officials and contractors are using maintenance guise to loot seriously. If not why are we importing fuel for over 20 years. The level of deceit and raising false hope is too much. |
Giftedhand47:Do any of these 4 things whenever you are angry. Practice it consistently and it will become part of your anger management techniques. 1. Don't get into unnecessary argument with anyone. Once you get annoyed in the process of any conversation. Hold your lips and refrain to utter any word again no matter what the other party may say. 2. Closely followed by one. Isolate or move far away from the scene of argument. If possible take a stroll for a while enough for you to get your composure and emotional stability. 3. Avoid discussion on same topic with anyone within same vicinity particularly the earlier discussants. 4. Once you are angry don't act or take action or any decision. Any action or decision taken will be be rash, bad and irrational because it is induced by anger. You will regret it later. There is a wise saying that anger is a small madness, so follow the above tips to manage your anger issue. |
Carcholce:I am not Mr. Mike but I believed the answer you seek lies within you. I will try to assist with some clues that will aid your decision. Are you always at peace with your partner no matter the number of hours or you stay together in a day. You enjoy each other's company, no angeer or foul words against the other party. Are you compatible in varieties of areas too- educational background, socially, economically - are both of you earning weekly or monthly to start a family. Not one party working himself out to provide for the home. Religious wise- Are you of the same faith or can for the sake of love follow the other to the place to serve God because a family that pray together stays together. Common vision or goal- You must share some common goals or vision where you want your family to be in 5, 7 or 10 years and should be ready to work together to achieve these goals. Example I got my first car after marrying for 2 years, house after 7 years, many other advancement within 10 years . I pray the good Lord will guide you in making the right decision. |
Cataboy:Is it still available. |
9japride:There is a wise saying that be your brother's keeper. He may have reached his elastic limit of endurance. All he needs at the moment are words of encouragement and instances of people who had gone through worst and survived eventually. The main reason of sharing his ordeal is to get help and succour to relieve the emotional agony and obtain strength to fight on the challenges. |
hakym619:The deductions from salary be it private or public government sector are made up of: Statutory deductions: 1. PAYE- This is arrived at using a tax table on the income after removing the consolidated relief allowances allowed by the tax authority. 2. Pension - This is applied on the sum of basic + Housing + Transport allowances at the rate of 8 %. for employees and 10% for employers 3. Other deductions - This are loans and advances to staff. Such as bicycle or car loan, housing loan, marriage loan etcetera |
Newton2024:I believed you just married and it is normal when you bought a new ride, you like to put it on the road and go round the city or the country if possible. But mind you, it is at a cost- wear and tear, fuelling and routine maintenance. Your health should be of great concern to you, otherwise you may not live to tell the story that follows. Sex is not 3 square meal, twice or thrice in a week is enough. |

The 2023 Presidential Elections came up on February 25, 2023. There are about 14 candidates that participated in the election but the election was in actual sense a three-horse race involving the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakah, the candidate of the PDP. Having gone through a rigorous campaign, expectations are high and candidates are filled with great hope of successful results particularly the Jargaban who believed he would win with as landslide victory. I hereby enumerate 7 factors in my humble opinion that affected his performance greatly even though he won the elections controversially as his victory is being contested by other parties. 1. Muslim- Muslim ticket- The Christian community across the country saw this as n afront that with over 200m population no single Christian is recognized to fly the APC flag other than another Muslim even when the outgoing President had a Christian vice. 2. End SARS Palava of October 20, 2020 where quite a number of youths were killed without Asiwaju lending his opinion to condemned the killing. As a matter of fact so many questions are lingering unanswered on who authorized military, number of people killed, denial by the APC government on that no killing occurred etc. The youths are greatly aggrieved and determined to "soro spoke" with a vote of no confidence. 3. The CBN naira redesign policy that curtail significantly the vote buying from electorate 4. The bad policies and poor performance of the APC led government for almost 8 years which have inflicted pain and suffering on Nigerians. 5. Marginalisation of the Igbo tribe in producing President which led to the "Obidient Movement", a cult followership of youths across the country supporting Peter Obi to wrestle power from APC government. 6. The youth agitation for a change from the old politicians who had dominated the political landscape since advent of the 4th Republic given young leaders in other countries. 7. Lastly but not the least- the physical and mental health conditions of the APC candidate to run the affairs of the government with his debilitating health made a number of voters skewed their votes from APC to other parties. Thank you. Samuel Fatola A Political Analyst |
The youths of the present day Nigeria need to wake up. Nobody will give you power on a platter of gold. We have to get involve & wrestle power from the old brigades or politicians. Don't be deceived by the slogan that youths are the leader of tomorrow. Tomorrow is now. Today should be the beginning of the struggle to get the power to lead tomorrow. |
ChildOfDoom:My good friend. What you are going through has a solution if only you can diligently go through the routine. Firstly, you are not a child of doom but a child with a glorious destiny. The enemy know this and bring various distractions your way to debar you from achieving God's purpose. One thing is sure & certain, you can not help yourself out of this quagmire because the battle is not physical. Repent, come unto Jesus & give your life to Jesus. He said in Matt 11:28, come unto me, all ye that labour & have heavy burden. Jesus promised to set you free & give you rest. Today, is the day of salvation of your soul to be free from depression & the loads of sin and enemy. Try Jesus and he won't disappoint you. God bless you. |
