Politics › Re: Petrol Price: FG Setting Us Against Nigerians, Marketers Say by fatymore(f): 8:12am On May 13, 2020
How are people earning low income coping during this period of lockdown with transportation fare.

Once you are two on a seat, you are automatically paying double fares.

Sincerely this isn't fair. Assuming the NURTW were not allowed to operate or they are giving the transporters a subsidize rate of ticket fee with federal government reducing fuel to the barest minimum, it is a win-win situation for all.

But here we are, suffering and smiling.
Lagos state government should biko look into this poo. We can't be earning a stipend and using all for tfare

Why are we like this and so careless?

Nevertheless, people should learn how to dispose used masks well. In saner climes, the government would have established another arm of waste management solely for this purpose.

What do I know gansef, when our waste are not being sorted out, so kosi big deal

Oga read well and stop quoting what will favour you. Yes, Islam forbids autopsy but it is permissible if another life depends on it, which is what we have today. Their scholars should come out and educate their people.

AreaFada2:
I wonder o. With adequate staffing a few days would do. Only the toxicology part can take weeks most times.

It seems in 9ja families must pay for autopsy. In serious countries sudden deaths, suspicious deaths, certain in-hospital and some deaths after discharge from hospital automatically warrant autopsy shouldered by the State/govt.

We have failed to organise ourselves. Only to hide under culture, religion or our "peculiarities"
I doubt if we have adequate staff/facilities for such

it is haram
But there are exceptions to a situation like this
Health › Re: Kano To Rely On ‘Verbal’ Autopsy For Mysterious Deaths by fatymore(f):
How long does an autopsy result take to come out?

An autopsy is Haram in Islam.

It is not permissible to perform an autopsy on the body of a dead Muslim for the sake of education and other purposes.

It is only permissible if the life of another depends on it—even if it is sometime in the future. They should take random sampling for this sake to check the cause of death.

My short story. Got to Lagos and a beggar man on wheel helped me, simply because on getting down from a bus from Ibadan, I gave him 10 nairas as alms. I have shared this story before.

I will go with the prophet, (S.A.W) sayings when you do good to someone, it comes back in 10 folds for you..

A beggar saved me
Romance › Re: Why Do I Keep Meeting Girls From Troubled Families? by fatymore(f): 12:13am On Apr 27, 2020
Tripitaka:
Have you dated a girl who is a product of incest?
Have you dated a girl whose brother raped the mother for ritual purposes?
Have you dated a girl who grew up to find out that her actual dad is the family driver, but the pregnancy was passed on to the "willing dad"?
Have you dated a girl whose own father has been sexually abusing?
Have you dated a girl whose mother's nude pictures are all over the internet because she was caught shoplifting?

I believe your answer would be "No", as you would have included these in your narrative.

The families in your narrative can hardly be classed as "troubled" as I would like to think that your experiences are the peculiarities of your average Nigerian family. The average Nigerian family where diabolism and fetishism is real; where cohabitation is in vogue because the government outlaws abortion and your parents would insist on you living with the man who impregnated you even if he has no interest in marrying you; where young widows are still oppressed by their late husband's relatives; where poverty and unemployment is the norm hence a 40yr old unemployed man is nothing out of the ordinary.

The women you have been with are not from troubled families, at least in my opinion. They are simply from Nigerian families.
lol
