Lani84: Hello friends,
I hope you are all doing well. My sister that had the issue of refused deferral with the University of Calgary got her PPR on the 14th. We took a gamble and started online, since all her courses had moved online anyway because of the Delta variant crisis in Alberta. Here is her timeline:
Application date: May 21 2021 Biometrics Request: May 22 2021 Biometrics done: May 25 2021 Medicals passed: May 24 2021 PPR: September 14 2021
Submitted Admission letter, proof of full tuition and accommodation payment, SOP, copies of short course certifications done and sponsorship letter from our dad.
Since she has paid accommodation for one year (of a 2 year course) and full tuition, how much should she have to show at the point of entry as proof of funds, and how can she show it? The sponsorship letter said that our dad will be sending her upkeep monthly.
My other sister is a May 15th applicant, still waiting. May PPR come to her and all of us waiting, amen.
Thank you all in advance! Congratulations |

gracedson: How I sent my Passport to Abuja.
I did my Biometrics in Lagos but I sent my passport to Abuja, So I had to pay a transmission fee of NGN 8,920 to this account CANADA LOGISTIC COLLECTION ACCOUNT (a/c no 0065165839) sterling bank.
I bought a fresh brown envelope and added the following documents, so follow:
- Your International Passport itself (That your passport !!)
- Print only 1 copy of the transmission fee payment receipt and put in your envelope
- 2 copies of your passport data page (I printed it in colored copy)
- Those stapled papers that was given to you after the completion of your Biometrics (put them as it is [original copy] not the photocopy)
- The PPR letter (1 copy)
- 2 copies of the Consent form (I filled and signed the second page only) . Download the consent from here: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/dominicanrepublic/pdf/Consent-Form-TTS-English.pdf
- A plain sheet of paper where you can write your address and phone number (this is not really needed though, but I added it) NOTE: I paid for 2 ways Courier at DHL and insured it to and fro
2 courier means: As I am sending my passport to Abuja, I want Abuja to send back my STAMPED passport to the address I stated on the Courier Thanks again bro. The attached is the requirement given to me via mail by IRCC. For the 2 copies of consent form, it is not stated. Do you think I should go ahead to add that? Also for the stapled papers during biometrics, not stated do you think I will need it? NB: I actually applied under Family class but I always stay to get info here so please advise accordingly. Thank you and thanks to everybody contributing massively to this thread.

MissMa01: Hello , Canada recommends Pfizer, Moderna,AZ and JnJ. I’ll recommend you visit cic website and read the steps you need to take before arrival. In addition, unless you are taking JnJ single shot, you can’t do both in three weeks. Besides, do you have the actual PPR email or passport stamped with COPR issued? Not to be a buzz kill but with the way things are moving, you will need more than three weeks for all these to be done or is your application under spousal sponsorship? Thank you @MissMa01 for the head on. I will start by saying yes it is spousal sponsorship. No PPR email yet. For the JnJ single shot, is it readily available here in Nigeria as it seems to be the fastest since it is a single shot. Thanks for helping out |

Onedimple: Pre-arrival programs are to help you settle in well when you come. I did that with CCIS before I got here. They link you up with resources that might be useful to you as a newcomer. I would advice you get your jabs before coming because it is somehow being enforced now by the government and you may not be able to travel if you have not been vaccinated. Appreciate you bro. I really want to do the pre arrival stuff but the link ain't opening. What would you suggest I do? About vaccination, I would love to know the accepted ones in CA b4 I take any here in 9ja. Can I take both jabs in 3weeks? I am at your DM sir |

Onedimple: It is very positive that your PR has been approved and it may look like they are still reviewing when you check on the portal. Congratulations anyways. Thank you bro. The pre arrival stuff, what is it really about? Is it compulsory to register? I haven't taken any Jab of the vaccine yet, do u think that will cause a possible delay when PPR is finally out? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Favouriteguy: 10:16pm On Aug 13, 2021 |
Lagbaja88: you only qualify for pre arrival when you get the PR. This does not look like an ircc email biko. Processing does not mean one will get the pr na This is what I got on their site as well (see attached screenshot) Probably they have approved the PR.
